@noturb0911 Nope. A short-field take-off is simply intended to get the aircraft off the ground in as little runway as possible. It has nothing to do with a steep climb-out for airshow purposes. This is more akin (albeit in commercial airliner terms) to a Blue Angels max performance climb-out.
Yeah i know what you mean unclesara and i'm not sure i gotta ask my friend who is working on the 787 plane in seattle, but that plane is supposively 100% fly-by-wire...other than that no other plane is 100%...some of those hydraulic actuators suck to change out especially outside up here in boston lol
Its not all fly-by-wire....its fly-by-wire input, but its hydraulically actuated....The 319 has one escape hatch over the wing the 320 has 2...It looks like one escape hatch on this one
Fly by wire means electronic input with computation before being transmitted to a traditional actuator. I can't think of a fly by wire bird that doesn't use hydraulic actuation. Can you?
Settle down, Beavis. It is an AIRBUS! The fly-by-wire system will prevent the pilot over-stressing the airframe. The maneuver is a "low transition takeoff." Military guys do it all the time, NOT exactly some kind of Blue Angels stuff. It's pretty mild comparatively.
i was on a plane that had to do that before, there was a massive flock of birds and the pilot almost stalled to keep from hitting them, when birds go into the engines it can start a fire, planes have been brought down by birds before its no laughing matter altho we did get free fly vouchers, and a food voucher we had to turn around and land because the pilots said it caused un neccesary stress, even tho the planes are tested like that when they are made
Extremely scary.

Holy fudge ! If I was on that I would probally be screaming .... Luckily I wasn't on there other wise everyone would of walked out deaf ...:)

its an airshow and the only reason they stay level as soon as in the air is to create enough airspeed to do an abnormal steep climb

is this how a normal takeoff goes?

@jsell16 no

the airplane is fine..the whole pull up only measures 1-2 Gs. thanks to airbus FAC and flight safety envelope limit.

a 757 can do better.
panamic855 2 years ago
What an idiot pilot. This a civil aircraft not an F16!

um looks to me like the aircraft held together just fine

@flynabil It's an airshow you idiot
SoonersFan19 2 years ago
@flynabil hence the reason, it's an airshow. They wouldn't do it if the planes weren't able to safely able to handle it.

i would have died on that plane!! i am very nervous about flying!!

nice land. If I were co pilot, i would have knocked the wheel down on accidnt

i disagree with u...big planes and building of them is a big education..to understand the construction isn`t that simple to have a licence...
DirtyThing20 3 years ago
ok...if u have pilots license but i don`t believe that u can fly on big birds...
DirtyThing20 3 years ago
more plz about it..
DirtyThing20 3 years ago
btw your age is 16 and u have pilots license? :DD
DirtyThing20 3 years ago
:) dude..whatever, but this plane is not a Su 27 or something to do those tricks :/

i have watched documental films about building those birds....so i think it is dangerous..maybe u are right but...

i was in that airshow!

It's an A319(A320 is longer), but still this is an awesome video!
zedextreme8177 3 years ago
I think it is a 319 because the 320 has two overwing exit doors and I only see one.
Armyman432 3 years ago
I agree, it says in the other videos that this is an A319

but this is too dangerous to do for cruise planes because wings can fall down..

This comment has received too many negative votes show
effects were good but the film was speeded up to obtain this effect. Commercial aircraft can not climb in this manner.

I love you amateurs, dont have a clue about anything then making sweeping atatements!
Sterlingjob 3 years ago 9
They can!
With just two pilots, no other people, no baggage, little fuel and full power the aircraft can easily perform maneuvers like that.
Besides, it's not even steep steep. Could of only been at 30-50 deegrees up

if i was on that plane,i would need a couple of extra barf bags for my seat, and sometowels for the carpet after i piss my pants.

Nothing like a 40 degree climbout to keep unruly passengers in their seats. :)
