@octovina911 i agree.. i did that also when i didn't have a capo.. but what i observe too much tightening can cause the strings to push down or flatten the Frets.. "it can damage the Frets". Frets are important becoz "Pressing a string against a fret determines the strings' vibrating length and therefore its resultant pitch." so i think that's the reason theres a so called "Capo" to make things easier,safety,secure. Hope it helps.
