Not easy to run, but they are probably doing it the wrong well, for example human run from heel to toe, not by keeping our feet perfectly horizontal to the ground.

Also when we run really fast our center of gravity is well further our leg.

Asimo is just not designed with this idea in mind, I believe that the point is to make him able to work in an human environment.

biological creatures are actually quite energy efficient. Just keep in mind that a human can eat one or two hamburgers in the morning and then walk for 10 - 20 km without problems. I doubt that Asimo can walk that far at all without lengthy recharging of his batteries. I also doubt that he could climb a substantial amount of stairs (compared to humans).

In a few years maybe, I'm sure they'll be able to do many things, work with important stuff that humans can't do them self.
