  • I always listened to her music as a child and still do today.

  • I was introduced to this song in 77/78 while living in Iraq, and even though my knowledge of Arabic was limited as a teen from Pakistan, I just loved it. She sings a sad song with the confidence of a woman who has moved on with her life. A woman who was once so vulnerable, and now so strong. Pure magic!

  • How can you not love this?!

  • 75 ppl are zionists

  • @mmantsur

  • In the cold days, in the days of winter

When the sidewalk has become a lake and the street full of water

This girl has come from her old house to await him.

He told her to wait but he has gone away

And he forgot about her and she goes away in winter.

I loved you in the summer, I loved you in the winter

I waited for you in the summer, I waited for you in the winter

Your eyes are summer, My eyes are winter

My love full is beyond summer and beyond winter.

  • Nothing Turkish(garbage) about Fairuz ! NOBODY comes close to Fairuz. She is one of a kind !

Salam e,lekum.

  • Turkish singer Sezen Aksu is much better then Fairouz. That's is my opinion. Selam from a Turkish girl.

  • I've just seen a documentary about Lebanon and Fairuz. I have to say I am not Lebanese, I have never been to Lebanon and I know very little about this country or its people, but I really had a hard time holding my tears inside, and yes I am a man :S Lebanese had so much pain and the words of Fairuz describe it very well. Lebanon gave shelter to many of my people when they were prosecuted in Turkey, therefore I want to say my eternal gratitude and BEST WISHES from Armenia, Lebanon will overcome!

  • @PeopleOfAr God bless you my friend .. Bless Lebanon and Armenia !

  • Salam from Thessaloniki Greece.

  • @deouwehoer ye it's a wonderful song, isn't it? i used to listen it a lot! It makes me think of the man I love

  • @deouwehoer In the days of cold and days of winter The pavement is a lake And the street is drowning That girl comes from her old house He told her "wait for me" So she waits for him in the road But he leaves and forgets her While she withers in the winter I loved you in the summer, I loved you in the winter I waited for you in the summer, I waited for you in the winter Your eyes are the summer, my eyes are the winter Our meeting darling is beyond the summer and the winter
  • @deouwehoer

A stranger passed by and she gave me a letter

My beloved wrote it with tears of sadness

I opened the letter, but the letters were missing

Days passed and the years drew us apart

And the letters of the message were erased by the winter (note: the word for winter and rain is the same in Lebanon)

  • @saher3 We may have to leave the task of defeating them in the hands of God or Allah, and trust each other that we are indeed brothers.

  • "you are our brothers and one day we shall defeat those who are trying to separate us and make us enemies ..Just to achieve their devilish purposes." @saher3 we are all brothers. It is disturbing that those few obscure individuals who fit your description succeed at making each of us think the other is to blame. It is this that separates us and makes us think we are enemies. It may be impossible to learn their true identities, if indeed they are merely human and not spirit.

  • fairouz! I would do anything to listen her live! greetings from Istanbul :)

  • @milkibay fuck you,you little lebanASS homo a5o sharmota go lick your dad's cum ya ebn el mareji.....palestinians don't want to be a fuckin fag lebanASS they are palestinians and their country is palestine where jesus lived and it's the most important country in the world..not like lebanASS and syria now go suck bashar elassad's dick because lebanASS are slaves to the syrians..BTW palestinians are the only brave ppl in all the MD for more than 100 years we fight on behalf of the arabs,,

  • @roosoo2 C'mon man. How can you mention Jesus' Name along with the rest of your selective wording? Even if you do not agree with someone, have respect for God's Son. He is not a trophy and He does not belong to only one country. He died for us ALL. And this is EXACTLY WHY there is war between brothers: Because of PRIDE. Pride is a killer and Jesus warned us about that over and over again in The Bible.

  • @ivanalexanderdimtri Tnk you :) salam to you too

  • @Arabchick18

i know that, this is a song, i made my comment for the highest rated comments.i did not say any bad things for you, i just said that "we are different and i do not like to get along"

  • all Hail the Queen

Cheers From Saudi Arabia to Lebanon and Turkey

    peace and respect

  • This is one of the most beautiful songs in the universe. I am from California, USA and I love Arabic/Persian/Middle Eastern music. I hope no one is offended at my classifying them together. This is simply to distinguish this music from other genres such as western classical, opera, latino, Indian, Chinese, rock and roll, etc. Oh, and it kills me to see hatred among peoples. If you cannot appreciate people who are not like you, it is your loss. Peace.

  • @JSBach5000 no we are not offended.Arabs and persians are middle eastern people :)

  • turks are not arab, we are different. the world should know that. we do not have camels, we do not have 4 wifes, we do not kill people who make love

we do not kill people, who wants to protect us! (the arabs killed 50.000 turks in the world war I)

we are the sons of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk!

  • @lifewatcher1to1 look we are one people.I know that turks aren't arabs and i am sure many people know that. But seriously we need to stop these conflicts. Many people hurt others back then but today in our modern world we need to get along.By the way arabs like lebanese, syrians, iraqis, and palestians share similarties to turks. So no need for hate.Plus this is a music video and not some war video.People come on here to listen to fairuz beauitful voice and songs.

    Take care!

  • @lifewatcher1to1

    very very good comment. congratulations.

  • So So So beautiful...

I love te arabian music ....

  • @paul130258 i never have any idea about you have mentioned, they can be true, i didnt live in that time. but the similar cases had been said to us for years as christians killed millions of turks according to their sayings. they can be also true or false. i can't know too. i am living right know and i just believe everybody should try to build a new brotherhood, love and respect eachother. and nobody convince me those thinks are worse. loves from turkiye

  • @abanali.. it doesn't matter if you are from turkiye or another country ...we are brothers ..and we don't disrespect each other ....and we should be proud!

  • فيروز اسطورة

  • All this because of the lovely angelic voice of Feiruz singing I love you in any weather. Why couldn't we just enjoy the song and the rahbani music.

And then, a turk abanali who thinks he is the new khalifa starts saying we killed all of you for love also. He never mentions he is a muslim or arab or anything. He is a true turkey-head. They are not human because everybody eats turkeys.

  • @paul130258 Yes I am Turkish and Muslim. But I clearly don't understand your this aggressive manner.. Please calm down..

  • Un tout grand Merci...

  • @abanali

Why would you overgeneralize that the US wants to be everyone's enemy? That is just not true. See, you claim to be so peaceful but you exclude those that are peaceful in the US, I assure you, we do exist. It makes me very unhappy to think that the US would be stereotyped and generalized into a hateful country. The US is not the enemy, but those that are hateful and violent in the world are the enemy, and they are alive in every country of the world, not just the US.
