as soon as a study into second hand smoke comes out that isnt debunked for improper use of scientific method or data manipulation i will ..... cary on smoking as its my body i will do with it as i please we smokers are no longer in the pubs mostly because of the ban and the price of a pint we are constantly victimized by brainless sheeple who refuse to look into the reserch that has all ready been done instead they swallow the line of luke warm bull spewed by the anti funded media

@dan3mon It's common sense and there have been numerous studies. Check the increase in chance of sids (cot death) with babies of parents who smoke. Do you cough as "as though its your body" as well ? i.e. without your hand covering your mouth when near people ? (same mentality)

@zzsharka the study into sids was debunked in the early 90s please read the previous post i do cover my mouth when i cough and as for all your studies they have all been debunked as i mentiond in my earlyer post debunked for misuse of scientific method or data manipulation but whats the point in telling you things you will just go on being a happy little sheepy following the herd as our government wastes more and more of our taxes trying to tackle a non problem

It's coomon sense, when you breath in smoke it damages health, a non smoker who decided to say no to peer pressure should have the right to breath in air without your stinky unhealthy smoke.

So it raises a non smokers chances by a quarter .. if you know the numbers and know statistics then that still leaves it well under 1%, most of the chemicals in SHS are measured in pictograms (so small that it may not be there at all) Anti smoking groups latch on to these tiny things to make what they publish legal .. but its really not the truth.

PS : Almost ALL my friends are smokers and ALL of them go out of their way to ensure than non-smokers don't breath their smoke.  These are people worthy of respect. And if they enjoy smoking then it's alright with me.

I don't agree in the least.  Tell that to a friend of mine, whose mother died from cancer that the doctors said was from second-hand smoke. She wasn't a smoker. Her husband was and still is. He basically killed her through his smoking and he lives on. No @#@^%justice !

Also,I don't see how 'control' is relevent here. I know that my government makes a killing in cigarette tax revenue ! Why would they want to reduce that ? What purpose would serve in relation to increasing their power ? What control ? No smoker's rights are threatened. Smoker denial is all about smoker pride, nothing more. And they would kill the rest of us to preserve it !

They are pleading to smokers to show CONSIDERATION to people who choose NOT to breath tobacco smoke. Consideration towards CHILDREN no less. To respond to images of children breathing cigarette smoke with denial that the smoke is even dangerous is amazingly self-centered. Who cares if the producers have used vidual exaggeration for effect. Our kids shouldn't breath it in JUST IN CASE it is. And people have MORE right to not passively smoke than smokers have to smoke where ever they want.

I think that anyone who wants to smoke should be able to do just that. They have a right to do just that. BUT the right of non-smokers to NOT breath in poisonous fumes and therefore preserve their health is FAR GREATER than the right to personal choice that smokers have. Right to health outweighs right to pleasure. These advertisments are not passing any judgements on to smokers. So I don't understand the strong ant-ad reactions that some smokers express to them.

If I live in an apartment building where some xenophobic, skeletal, sick, toothless family wants to smoke 4 packs a day each, inside their apartment. I have to put up with smoke that smells like CAMEL PISS coming through every crack, electric outlet, vent and even through sheet-rock!
