  • nice keep playing

  • Is throwing 65 for a 13 year old good?

  • @thesoxrox1 no if your a power pitcher because when i was 12 i threw 70, but if you are a finesse pitcher speed dosn't really matter.

  • You guys who are complaining are a bunch of wanna-be assholes. This kid is amazing. He has perfect form, consistant, and he isnt throwing slow. He is throwing around 75+ mph... which is faster than what you think. Im a pitcher my self, im a bigger guy, about 6"1 250 pounds.. and i only throw about 80 mph tops... This kid has the potential of being in the mlb... So those of your who are complaining... quit running your dick-suckers and being assholes. you are doing great kid keep up the work!!!

  • @bigboywagner im 14 and throw mid-80's, about 5"10 170 pounds, so honestly you haven't played at a high level if you think 75 is hard and think that he throws perfect and i'm not hating on the kid, i mean he is alright, but he should be throw ALOT harder for his size.

  • id take you over the center field fence all day

  • y the fuck is there a lefty catcher

  • Work on that curve man,

that could be your golden ticket. Reminds me of a Blyleven or Barry Zito, smooth and easy movement. Don't worry about hard velocity , hit the glove with that breaking ball.

  • OKAY THIS VIDEO IS OLD.(about 2years). He is now 6'6 and a senior in high school this year. He has pitched against some very high ranked baseball clubs and did very well. He just had some very good oppurtunities to pitch for some major league scouts in the last couple weeks. Must be doing something right KEEP UP THE HARD WORK JOEY.

  • Anyone on here who complains that he isn't fast enough obviously doesn't know baseball very well. This guy is a finesse pitcher. Pitching isn't all about speed, you're all dumb asses. This guy is a good pitcher, probably better than any one of you ass holes complaining in the comments. Where's your video?

  • Nice hook @ 0:18

  • Bones!

  • 3/4 of those hit the turf

  • Despite what people may say, there are good reasons why height can matter from a scouting standpoint. The taller the pitcher is, the longer his arms probably are, and the longer his arms are, the more translational velocity he can put on the ball. (among other reasons)

Now, obviously there are some fantastic exceptions, but the fact that most of the tallest players in the MLB are pitchers shouldn't be brushed off as a coincidence.

Good luck Sean. I hope you keep working at it.

  • His curve hangs, and for a 6'5 kid he really doesn't throw that hard. But it seems like he throws consistent strikes, and generally keeps the ball low, so he can pitch.

  • im not trying to be mean but if you want to throw faster u have to start moving faster sooner your body cant move that slow and just instantly generate alot of speed...

  • nice curveball .!!!

  • if your 6'5, you should be throwing way freakin faster

  • hight has nothing to do with it. it helps tho this kid is too jerky and will be just like zito

  • why take off your hat every pitch

  • thats not fast

  • I would take his pitches for a ride. That hanging curve ball!!!

  • Nice movement, use your legs more though or you won't be pitching for long, take it from someone who had tommy john.

  • Kids got talent. Oh And by the way. If you start varsity as a Gresham

  • I'm only a freshmen in high school and i'm the varsity starting catcher and the mechanics and speed reminds me of a star JV player, but he does have great movement on his pitch!

  • @hokieboy1119 your team must really suck or your moms sucking the coaches dick to be on varsity as a freshman

  • @deesnuts333 Yeah since i haven't seen my mom in over 3 years.

  • @hokieboy1119 dont worry its not your that good, its your team sucks dick.

  • @Joshf360 haha we was District champs dude and regional runner ups

  • damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • well i could certainly tell what pitch was coming every time if i faced you

  • thats got some nasty movement

  • Nice man!

  • not really a shocker-more of an average.

  • @laz3rb33m more like better than you. This kid puts really nice movement on his pitches

  • @hcvideoproductions i dont think you have ever seen me pitch have you? thats what i thought jackass

  • @laz3rb33m well maybe you should have some video back up? I throw 93 miles per hour, and I'm 14, but I have no video proof, so you'll just have to take my word for it. I guarantee you this kid is better than you.

  • he could throw a lot harder if he wasn't fighting his body so much. he is losing a lot of torque by throwing across his body. i bet he has a hard time throwing inside to a righty and if he does bring it inside i bet it's about 3mph slower.

  • im 13 and i 6"1 i throw 75-81

  • @Xxcardlcolector20xX and my dick is 8ft long

  • Hey nice video, come check mine out of me throwing 80 mph.

  • Not consistant at all with pitch location and every pitch you adjust ur hat WTF

  • i would love! to hit agianst this kid

  • @plav9999 depends on the distance, little league mound, yeah thats pretty good, ahead of his age group.

  • i didnt know youtube was full of professional pitchers and hitters. for 1, trying to tell him how to pitch better to try and make yourself seem cool on youtube- not cool. and even if you knew what you were talking about, im sure he has a real life coach that is telling him the same stuff. o wow he is 6 foot 5 and cant throw upper 90s wow this kid sucks, that makes total since seeing as he is 15, sorry he is not a phenom.

  • imnot trying to tell you how to pitch but stop bringing that leg over. dont cross it. bring it straight up. i was doing the same thing and it gave me problems.

  • The upside of a fastball:

    Hard to hit.

    The downside of a fastball:

If en striker hits it good.... Homerun:D

  • @ThePyrozone fastball hard to hit??

  • i think his speed is from 72 to 76 no very fast for tall ass guy

  • im 4th bttr in cllge,, i saw a lots of pitchs this one i can say 7/10, i can ht ths ball all the way to the park nyay,, but hes stl emprvng,, gooodd luck 2 u man,,

  • good movement, and its tough to tell how hard your throwing it.

  • @plav9999 That's pretty good for 12 if he can throw it for strikes.

  • JRuck36 how do you grow so tall dame 6'5

  • @plav9999 lol

  • damn randy johnson

  • i pitch left to

  • whats good about this no location just up and fire btw sometimes he is draggin the back foor and sometimes he is not also landing in different locations

  • @flakflak I agree with you but you don't have to throw the hardest to be the best when your 15 all you have to do is have accuracy and decent speed

  • @mrxxcodgodxx it doesn't matter how hard u throw lol as long as u have location

  • @CG95023 Not true... to pitch at the higher levels you're gonna need velocity+precision, or a load of movement and offspeed pitches if you throw slower.

  • @CG95023 o do best in the league

  • wats so special bout this ??

  • @mrxxcodgodxx since when did stuff on YouTube have to be "special" This is a 6'5" lefty pitcher who could be real special

  • @RuckMup36 i am 14 years old and throw mid eighties..... and have really good breaking pitches........ am i special lol ???? i am i better pitcher than that douche

  • @mrxxcodgodxx At 14 you going to fuck up your arm throwing too many breaking pitches.

  • @BABYKICKERxPS3 i dont throw that many and no ur not if u throw it the correct way

  • @mrxxcodgodxx haha if you throw curveballs the correct way you're going to fuck it up the most because thats when its most effective. If you "cheat" with your release and throw more of a slider or cutter then it isn't too bad but if you throw a legit 12 6 curve, your putting a lot of stress on an undeveloped arm.

  • @mrxxcodgodxx u again NOBODY FUCKING BELIEVES U and if someone did theyre really dumb. u'd have to be like 6'6 and have good momemtum and arm speed or a stephen strasburg clone to reach mid 80's at 14. if u show me a video of u actually hitting mid 80's ill take back whatever i said

  • @erickwizgod stephen strausburg threw 95 max in hs as a senior hahah get your facts straight idiot

  • @tbonemegill no he actually was fat and topped out at 88, then once he was in college he lost weight and worked extremely hard.

  • @mrxxcodgodxx hes most certainly not a douche until you meet him. and if you throw 85-90 at 14 you would be on a site like perfect game usa not f***ing youtube

  • @RuckMup36 6'5" and throwing that slow.not a good sign

  • Coming over the top.. and super tall?

God that'd be intimidating for me, I hit lefty lol.

  • dude what are you like 6' 1" 110 lbs? i could use you to hold together my sandwich

  • YEA LEFTYS ARE BETTER THAN RIGHTES

  • Nice he can be a great pitcher cuz of his height

  • so slowwwwww

  • what were the breaking pitches you were throwing?

  • great job man, your doing exactly what a big guy should do: taking advantage of your height and weight and using it to throw the ball harder, with more movement on your pitches.

  • meatball, meatball, meatball, meatball, gone gone gone

  • jUST TO LET YOU KNOW YES IT IS ABOUT 78-80. WE HAD HIM CLOCKED WHEN HE PLAYED IN CHENEY STADIUM. NO HE DOESN'T THROW FAST BUT LOTS OF THE HITTERS GET THROWN OFF BY SLOWER PITCHES. He is only 16 tho. Lots of years ahead of him to get stronger and more apperances. Yea hopefully he does get a scholarship for baseball. Being 6'5" and 16 yrs. old and still growing chances of scholarship looking good we hope. So keep working hard Joey.

  • hey u should make a vid of u actually playing in a game lol no critisism intended im just saying ur awsome and better then me and i would like to see how u do

  • @kingpitcher2 Yea we will make a video of him playing.Heading to Colorado for a scout event in July. We just got signed up on you tube starting to get videos out to colleges. He trains year round and has a great pitching coach. This video is the first year he actually had some one really working with him on his pitches. Coach also a lefty so makes it really nice. get the correct mechanics. He has dreams and I strong will So keep your eye out.

  • this kid is horrible

  • he seems slow but its alright for a lefty

  • its hard to develop quality pitching mechanics when you're tall as hell like that because you're top heavy, limiting what pitching motions you can do without stumbling.

  • not guna lie hes throwing pretty damn slow.

  • yeah i agree

  • @ieatcheetoes a lot of them seem to be breaking balls

  • @ieatcheetoes u dont know shit! form what it looks like he throws pretty damn nice!!!!!

  • @ieatcheetoes speed doesnt matter some mlb pitcher clock fastballs low 80s high 70s

  • this is shocking thats pretty pathetic its an honest joke that kid is throwing mid 60's if that

  • Whats up with the hat after every wind up

  • yeah it's annoying, I only see lefthanders doing that too

  • i throw 50 mph,.

  • how old are you

  • 10 why

  • damn u good for leftty im left handed but im a sophmore starting on d1 highschool varsity team. im a pitcher. i see a few mistake thats all. your throwing hard but im only 5'11 150 pounds an im throwing high 80's low 90's

  • ya right that is bs. you can try to come back with something but man seriously your not fooling anyone

  • if u see a few mistakes maybe say it, other wise why voice ur opinion about a mistake

  • he looks good but hose pitches were prob like 76 mph

  • 6'5 lefties only have to throw mid 80's and they get college scholarships

  • 0 of those pitches went over 80, I just used the radar gun app on my iphone >.>.

  • cuz you kno thats trustful lol

  • Not only did I use that, that was for fun, you can tell just by looking at it...

  • get a first basemen's glove

  • we got a blinker problem

  • wait till you fill out ur frame youll be a beast

  • r u kidding he throws about 70 on a good day and he throws a bad breaking ball. he will never pitch past high school cause he is throwing breaking balls at to young of a age

  • You are fucking stupid. Curveballs DONT hurt any pitchers arm at any age IF thrown correctly.

  • and if they ice their arms after a long outing, sure helps prevents any arm injuries as well.

  • @luvbaseballh Your an idiot, throwing breaking balls at 15 is fine, most kids start throwing breaking balls when theyre 12 or 13, you just have to know how to throw it correctly

  • he looks like randy johnson lol

  • lol at 29-30 sec that was the pitch with the most break

  • Horrible mechanics.

  • i didnt have break it was just at an angle

  • wtf is up with the ball? looks like its one of those whiffleball things.. sorta :O nice movement if its really a baseball :D

  • It's a real baseball

  • @JRuck36 you got great movement

  • Hasn't been clocked your guess seems right

  • You guys both on crack 77-80 hahaha NO LOL its more 74-77

  • 77 if hes lucky

  • @JRuck36 hey can u make a vid of u in a real game if possible i would like to see how u do there

  • how fast does he throws?????bout 77-80 mph probably
