haha, no duh it isn't the same, fools. Not everyone has the same musical styles. Adam's style is very unique, which is part of the reason why Owl City is my favorite band. But this cover is amazing, hell, the fact that you can play three instruments and sing is mind-blowing. Great job.

Sounds good, but a couple things could be improved. First, ditch the direct-recording for acoustic guitars.

Seriously, you'll mic up vocals and drums but you won't mic up the acoustic guitar?

It's even easier to mic up those. Mic it up. It's an acoustic for a reason.

1) SOUNDS AWESOME!!!!!!! i actually like the style of this cover better than the original song.

2) the keyboard part in the chorus's sound AMAZING and should have been in the original if they arent already.

3) i think personally, the harmony/melody parts in the chorus vocal parts are mixed PERFECTLY!! sounds AWESOME!

4) it might have been a good idea to cut some more of the lower frequencies of ur voice out so it pops out better. sounds a LITTLE muddy.

@impulsician actually dude, adam young uses melodyne for shape correction.. which is fixing natural slurs and accents.. He doesn't pitch correct his vocals. So before saying the original uses more effects than it actually does... do osme research. Young just sang a duet with a band called HEISWE and sang like a beast. HE is in fact a good singer, watch him live and watch his acoustic sets. OF JUNE ANd maybe of dreaming were full of autotune, the guy came from his basement and never sang before

Second, as a producer and studio engineer, I have used Melodyne & AutoTune for years and know their uses/shortcomings/etc. My point in saying what I did about AT was to say that perhaps it wasn't a bad thing that I was using it.
