(continued from last post) The promise of being the dragon warrior and being given ultimate power corrupted Tai Lung, which resulted in his betrayal when he was denied the power and his subsequent incarceration in prison for twenty years. Then of course they chose the real dragon warrior and trained him to fight a great evil-which ended up being Tai Lung. If they had never made the prophecy and hadn't built up Tai Lung as they did in the first place, he wouldn't have been so proud and been evil

To me the whole prophecy thing they had going on was ridiculously self-fulfilling...though I did still enjoy the movie.

They said a dragon warrior would come and save them from a great evil. Tai Lung was trained from childhood, and they believed he would be the dragon warrior that saved them from the great evil. Shifu put so much attention in Tai Lung, building him up so much as the great warrior, that he made Tai Lung too proud, which shaped Tai Lung into the very evil of which they spoke.

i would also like to add as referral to the comment before mine - i know a teacher can make or break you with a decision, but it even says in the movie that oogway saw evil in tai lungs heart, and with the amount of power that tai lung possesses, i think that giving him the dragon scroll would have been a very bad idea - (if the scroll actually had the key to all power, written on it) think of how much damage he could do with all that power.

But he can't have had that darkness in hiim as a cub, you know how small he was when Shi Fu found him. It must have gotten to him later, maybe from always having to live up to expectations, never told that his father was proud of him, or what do we know?

Yes, he is the bad guy of the movie (all movies seem to need one), but you can make things much more complicated if you want, more that the movie did...

Very well done, the clips go awesomely with the music. Personally Shifu is my favourite character but Tai Lung is awesome too... i dont think shifu failed as a teacher, i mean... he taught tai lung, the furious five and Po pretty well, he just didnt anticipate that tai lung would turn on him for a stupid piece of paper lol. And (my opinion) tai lung is DEFINATLY the bad guy in this film. He let greed control him and was willing to sacrifice his father figure for power, thus, he is the bad guy =)

Not exactly greed.

More like frustration because his master talked him up and pushed him hard, he wanted to make his "father" proud and achieve his dream, but he was rejected, and his dreams were crushed.

Thai Lung is not the bad guy in the story.

Imo Shi Fu failed as a teacher.

I practice martial arts with passion and i know what it's like to have a trainer/Shihan that can make and break u on dicision.

And if after all your years of putting effort in things and giving your everything for your goal, no wonder you act the way you do.

And you've got the weapon.

Interesting to know that Hans Zimmer was also the one to make music for Kung Fu Panda (alongside John Powell if I am not mistaken.)

Brilliantly done, however, cue for a music fade at the end instead of abruptly cutting it off.

Other than that, superb. :) Gave me chills.

Too bad Lion King was a copy of Kimba.... I still love both of them the same, but I'm just rather dissapointed since Lion King was Disney's best film alongside Bolt IMO.

One of the reasons I'd rather work for Dreamworks than Disney any day.
