    Please learn some facts. No one's health care will change under what you mistakenly call "socialized health care" except that of the hundreds of thousands of people who would have otherwise been dead because they could not afford it.

Honestly, I agree with you, but I also think it might be fair to understand that Roe Vs. Wade isn't likely to ever be overturned, and as an obstetrician Ron Paul is only being honest about his personal views in regards to his experiences.

  • i'm a pro-choice, pro-gay, hardcore liberal atheist (check my favorite videos!) and I HATE politics, and I have never donated to anyone for any reason, but I donate to Dr. Paul every month. Democrats, Republicans, Liberal and Conservatives all support Ron because even if they disagree on many issues they all agree on liberty and the Constitution.

    Even if you are pro-gay/pro-abortion, states rights is the way to go. When you make it a federal issue, what makes you so sure that the federal government will take your side? And if they don't, your screwed, theres not where to go.

    Ron Paul is not supporting these new amendments to ban abortion and gay marriage, so his personal views matter a lot less than the fact that he will let the people of the states decide for themselves.

  • Why dont we just let Iraq keep their oil. Then they can use the money generated from that to hire some "private contractors" that can supplement their forces until there is stability in the nation, then when they don't need them anymore they can cancel their contract. Half of our troops over there are private anyways. Why does our Nation need to be involved anymore.

  • Well for one, JFK did nothing to get us out of Vietnam, and Ron would do anything to get us out of Iraq. Take that for what it's worth.

  • Learn your history. While JFK was predident, he sent troops to Vietnam as peace keepers to help stop the spread of communism. The US was not involved in direct military confrontations in Vietnam until after the phony "Gulf of Tonkin" incident which occured after JFK's assination. It was Lyndin Johnson who sent the surge of troops into Vietnam that ultimate lead to the confilct that we remember today. The time after JFK's assasination was known as "Escalation and Americanization" of Viet Nam.

  • Actually, JFK sent in around 12,000 "military advisors." The Russians did the same in the north. Lydin Johnson sent in the first ground troops (3,500 in March,1965) and escilated those numbers to 200,000 by December, 1965. How you can blame JFK for that mess is beyond me.

  • No of course I don't believe that Ron Paul would have sent ANY troops. JFK actually believed that the South Vietnam government could win the battle on their own with aid from the US. He did not start the war, though, that was all Johnson.
