Ron Paul is not supporting these new amendments to ban abortion and gay marriage, so his personal views matter a lot less than the fact that he will let the people of the states decide for themselves.

Why dont we just let Iraq keep their oil. Then they can use the money generated from that to hire some "private contractors" that can supplement their forces until there is stability in the nation, then when they don't need them anymore they can cancel their contract. Half of our troops over there are private anyways. Why does our Nation need to be involved anymore.

The US was not involved in direct military confrontations in Vietnam until after the phony "Gulf of Tonkin" incident which occured after JFK's assination. It was Lyndin Johnson who sent the surge of troops into Vietnam that ultimate lead to the confilct that we remember today. The time after JFK's assasination was known as "Escalation and Americanization" of Viet Nam.

Why dont we just let Iraq keep their oil. Then they can use the money generated from that to hire some "private contractors" that can supplement their forces until there is stability in the nation, then when they don't need them anymore they can cancel their contract. Half of our troops over there are private anyways. Why does our Nation need to be involved anymore.
