Clearly whoever wrote this song didn't understand what Schadenfreude means. It's really taking pleasure in seeing justice done (the "others' pain" part of this video's interpretation) to someone who deserves it. For example imagine a waiter that bets she could carry 30 dishes to the sink. Everyone will naturally tell her she's an idiot for trying to do so. Then, she falls and breaks all the dishes and everyone laughs. They take pleasure in it because the person had it coming, not for no reason.
