I own this particular model (the G Shock of course) and I must say that it is an amazing watch. I would never trade my G Shock for one of the Luxurious watches such as Breitling, Tag Heuer, Omega, and so on. The durability and functions on my g shock are insane.

I wore an MTM watch during Combat OPS in AFGHAN and IRAQ and the last thing on the enemy's mind is "oooo, nice watch" .... you wannabe.

MTM makes the best fucking watch.. it is so tough that in a hand to hand fight by accident I smached somebody's front grill breaking his front teeth and chipping others with my MTM Vulture series watch. after washing the blood off my watch I saw there was not even scratch... And its funny how douche bags whom have never been in actual combat operations speak as if they have keep dreaming HOMO...

Toughness is totally overrated. Most watches are just fine for duty use unless you go diving. Is there even such think as an "issue watch" anymore? My impression is that grunts buy and wear whatever they feel like these days...

I had a G Shock for ten years (and then it was bloody stolen), I knocked it heaps of times without any damage, best watch I've ever had. Looking to get a gulfman, pity they don't have a velcro band like my old one

And in case your wondering .. the enemy knows if you have on a G-SHOCK or Luminox ... that your are AMERICAN or BRITISH troop, they are smarter than they look. while i was with DIA.. WE SIMPLY DIDNT WEAR A WATCH AT ALL and never american boots or shoes.

So the American or British troop's uniforms don't give it away then? Also, G-Shocks aren't just worn by British and American troops, they're worn by members of the armed forces all over the world, and are most common/popular in Asia where they're manufactured.

G- SHOCKs are cheap all right , i tear one up about twice a year...... my MTM has lasted much longer , better made. you get what you pay for. sorda like an HK vs. a RUGER. and your right no Seal wears one cause THEY CANT AFFORD ONE.

Also according to each brand claiming to be US Navy SEALs official watch each SEAL must wear at least a dozen watches per arm each week of the day! lol

Shiny watches to get spotted, heavier in case the mission is too hard, the name of the unit on it: CIA, Navy SEAL, Delta Force, Ranger, SAS, Commando Hubert or whatever so in case you get caught the enemy does not have to ask what is your unit, just by staring at your watch he will know!

Also very handy to adjust in the battlefield if needed: every commando has a watch band adjusting tool in his backpack!

That makes me laugh some morons buy it thinking commandos wear them! lol

Navy Seals are known for wearing Casio G-Shock watches.

That Silver Seal watch is just a marketing scheme. Just like the Luminox Navy Seal watch.  Seals don't wear that crap.
