Victor......does Frank Carson ring any bells?, ie: "It's the way I tell'em". I had a go at the dictation test, I admit to getting more than half, and was over the moon. The course you have put together is perfect, unlike other courses, it "is" the way you tell 'em, because it's making me learn so much more in such a shorter time.
I have subscribed, and am here till I am fluent, thanks Victor.
Now I understand, why my american friends hesitated to "walk russian", when I invited them :). Probably, they've seen your lessons. But everything's not so dangerous, believe me :-)
Thank you for these great lessons so far. I have spent months trying to learn with the flash card method which has it's uses but your method is light years ahead and you are answering my questions with it. Спасибо!
This was a good lesson for me. I tried to do this about a month ago or more and I could not do any of it. Today I was able to get almost all the sentences! And I even made almost no spelling mistakes. Good exercise. Great baritone. Cute end!
Thanks for the lesson, I have many mistakes especially, between the wordы "ю" and "у", "ы" and "и", "о" and "а", I also tend to miss the "ь" in the dictation. Overall many mistakes. So I am practicing the words by writing them repeatedly, I will be more confident once i get these. Pls let me know if there are any suggestion from you to improve these. So thanks again Dear Viktor Dimitrivich. your loyal student.
Beautiful song! Would you be kind enough to translate it into English some time? I have been away from your lessons for a long time, and am catching the fever again. Lesson four is going to take me a while!
Thanks a lot friend! I'm learning Russian easily now, you are helping me a lot.
Don't you imagine how hard is for a poor Brazilian to learn Russian by theirself. I love your country and culture, someday I hope visit Russia, I'm saving money for it..
Umnei Huliganov! I love the exercise, simply and impossibly brilliant. How many languages do you speak? Oh, and can I ask you for a favour...? If you have the time, could you post a comment with the misspelligns that were made? I read in the last videos' comments that there was some and I am trying hard to get these spellings to stick...difficult it is. X
What can I say? Seems like you are getting better and better at your lessons. If only we can have more teachers like you in the world, it'd be so much fun to learn again. Cheers!
Indeed. You get the designer ones these days. But I would steer clear of any kind of drugs - except the 'drug' which means friend. "Say no to drugs, and yes to druzya"!
This is a splendid method of instruction which one is able to go back over many times. Also the idiom is explained,,which phrase books tend to omit. Nice one !!
So unfair. It is the way you are teaching. I have to review all the lessons again and listen to every single bit. U make questions obviously on the idea that student learns everything @ 1. Good challengings.
Well, you do need to listen to the lessons more than once. I can't promise to produce videos that enable you to remember everything without repeat viewing, because that's not how the human memory works. Not for language studies, anyway :-).
Ox! 0/14! Just the odd letter here and there in odd words threw me. Must try harder and remember where o sounds like a. Very enjoyable lesson. Thank you.
I'm glad you liked the format. This evening there is a bit of a "side lecture" coming up - not a lesson, but a discussion of Russian words for friend which another viewer asked for.
The best Russian fun is out in the country. They obviously have fun in Moscow, but that is very pricey fun. If you go to the country where you are the only foreigner, you will have a lot of Russian fun.
Once I was passing through Nelidovo, on the way by road from Moscow to Latvia, and a man pretty much offered me his wife for the night, as we had all been drinking together. I declined, of course, but I thought it was very hospitable of him, in an eastern sort of way...
