  • How about if you have a Mesa Boogie amp that uses those 5 pin connections. Anyway to get this unit to work with a "newer" Boogie amp? Meaning to change channels with the G system and not having to use the Boogie pedal anymore. I hope you understand my question..????

  • @kb7010 - I don't know - please contact our support.

  • Great Demo! My question is regarding to AMP swicthing. I have an ENGL E530 preamp which has stereo footswitch input for Clean/Lead Channel Switch and HiGain/LoGain Mode Switching.

Currently in order to switch from Clean Channel Low Gain Mode to Lead Channel Hi Gain mode I have to step on 2 switches. Could G-System will it let me switch from Clean Channel Low Gain Mode to Lead Channel Hi Gain mode by pressing only one button?

    Thanks

  • @cakire82 I would say yes - but do ask our support, thank you!

  • Is there any latency when changing from one preset to another. I mean if you have clean sound with chorus etc and overdrive sound with delay etc. or something like that and that also changes amp channel. Everything should happen immiteadly and perfectly in sync???

  • Is it possible to do a trick like this with the TC Nova System too?

  • @symbolic90 The Nova system doesn't have amp switching.

  • another question: is there only 1 possible to change amp channels like in this video (riley) ? if amp has got midi can i change between channels by midi ?? what if for example channel 1 has got 3 differents modes: like in mesa dual. raw vaintage and modern, does g-system can change olso between this modes to make 1 preset for 2 channel raw, second preset for vintage cahnnels 2 and 3 preset for modern channel 2 ??

  • @ryjeek Please refer to the manual or get in touch with our support they can help you with this.

  • @tcelectronic look, i'm wondering to buy gsystem so i just get to know is it possible.

  • @ryjeek G-system uses the standard MIDI protocol to communicate with other devices, so it should be abel to do midi switching, but please have a look in the amps manual, and please contact our support if you still having difficulties with it.

  • What if the footswitch on the amp uses a 7PIN cable? how to match de G-System?

  • @crazysalex26 thanks for your interest. please chek uor website for information, and if you don't find what you're looking for please contact our support.

  • @crazysalex26

Hi, for the 7 pins cable, like JSX, you'll need to contact Lukas at PROSTAGE info@prostage.eu

I bought one of these boxes for around 200 euros and it works absolutely fine via a GT10 ! Must be the same on G system.

  • @krma1970 Thanks a lot man! I solved the problem meanwhile. I just had to program the amp with the fx loop on everytime I stored a bank nad that was it!

  • @crazysalex26 Hey man, I have the same problem... I got the Mesa boogie Nomad 55 combo amp, and the cable is a 7 pin, comparing to the mide cable which have 5 pins, theres no way I can connect the G system to the amps swtiching pot...... anyone knows how to work this out???

  • Does this work for a Mesa Boogie Mark V?

    Thanks!

  • how would you run the G system with a Marshll JVM 410h and a Line 6 M13?

  • This is going to save me hundreds of dollars more than the G System already saves me with all its functions. Thank you so much for such an immaculate product, TC. I'll be picking one up early next year.

  • hi, does the g system have a whammy pedal feature??

  • how would you use the Gsystem to run a Marshall JVM 410?

  • I'm using Mesa boogie dual rectifier(3 channel), can g-system control all three channel?

  • how many relays does the g-system have?? i only see 2 jacks on it and on the videos they say it has 4??? where are the other 2??? please answer.....

  • How would I go about running a Roland VG88 synth in conjunction with the G system? ( Marshall JCM900 / Marshall AVT150 ) - stereo

  • @shredmetalmike Hiya, As neither G-System nor the VG88 has stereo inputs, there’s no way you’ll be able to run both of them in stereo. This means that you’ll have to decided whether you want to run G-System or the VG88 in mono. If you want to run the VG88 in mono, then I’d recommend placing it in one of the G-System loops. If you prefer to run the G-System in mono (and the VG88 in stereo) then you should place it after the left output from G-System.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC

  • is it possible to map an external pedal(say a distortion pedal) to a preset?

  • @KG739 - Sure, the 4 pedal loops in the G-System are designed for exactly that!

  • @tcelectronic nice, thanks

  • How the g system responses to the guitar or playing dinamics???

  • is there anyway this can make a clean channel on a marshall jcm 800 just by using the effects that are built in

  • Is it possible to switch the amp channels without having to go through presets?

And let's say I'm using two amps at the same time. Can G System be an amp switcher?

    Thanks!

  • Is not working with mi new Fender Blues deluxe, and the souport of TC electronics they said that fender is not a standard system of footswich!!!

    Please Help me!!!

  • Hiya,

The best thing to do is to contact Fender about this. The switching system on their amps can be specific and requires some added electronics and specific wiring in the cable. Wish I could help further on this!

It'd be great to hear back from you once you have this sorted - we'd be interested to hear what needed to be done :).

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC

  • Great video! Are you using the 4-cable method (running it through the effects loop), or are you using the 2-cable method (running the G System in front of your amp)?

  • i assume this will work in the same way if your amp uses MIDI to switch channels?

  • Awesome video, answers a lot of questions I had about channel switching on the tc g-system. Thanx!!

  • i play bass and have never been that much into effect boards. i´m more into seperate pedals. tc.E makes one of the best pedals on the market.
