I find this hard to believe since I was driving 60kms and I saw a "smart" car in the other lane who couldn't even keep up speed with traffic. A guy in a Chrysler 300 got fed up and had to pass.
People who think all supercars should be 10 second cars stock, use some logic here. Track tuned suspension, track tuned gear ratios. 10sec and less 1/4m cars have drag tuned suspension and ratios. Either way, the power to weight ratio of the smart car with that motor and possibly without drag tuning, was obviously going to be way too much for the Ferrari.
@squirlybmx supercars were meant to be driven not drag raced. they have to last longer than 10 runs and also take corners. who would be ingnorant enough to believe a super car and a drag car built specifically built for drag racing would be similar in performance. that would be like asking the drag car to take a corner at 145 mph.

A smart car stock!will take a Ferrari off the line. It's instant torque for about 3 seconds in a 300lb rolling egg. Ideal more safe in a smart car then my DA.. The crash test ratings are outstandingly good!
Lets see what the smart car will do top end in a 5 mile race? I want to race them both in a race from Baton Rouge to Phoenix I use my prius. Reason I will win the prius uses less fuel has greater range and will not spend as much time at the pump. You race on open streets you will get locked up anything over 100mph.

/golfclap for the pointless smart car. Putting a more powerful engine in it makes it even more of a deathtrap than it already is. It is unsafe at any speed over 45 mph.
This is sad to say for Ferrari, even though they lay down decent times, its clear that the Ferrari is not a quartermile car without some significant modifications. Your fastest supercars only run 10's in the quarter, which is not a hard to beat number for a sub $20k drag car.

Bike engined Smart looks a lot of fun, you can pick them up quite cheap with their original engines trashed. I think the Ferrari F430 '06 is 438hp.. so it's not really that fast, I think this is the '06 one cause the '07 430s and up have a black stripe that goes across the whole back which imo looks worse than the 06' one

This is sad to say for Ferrari, even though they lay down decent times, its clear that the Ferrari is not a quartermile car without some significant modifications. Your fastest supercars only run 10's in the quarter, which is not a hard to beat number for a sub $20k drag car.

Bike engined Smart looks a lot of fun, you can pick them up quite cheap with their original engines trashed. I drove a Smart a few miles, pitching back and forth was annoying, but plenty of space, girls smile at them, guys laugh at them. Only a matter of time before a turbo Hayabusa one is done.....
