I really like lindegaard, hes an amazing keeper, though as a united fan im torn between de gea and him, i do feel we should support every player no matter how many mistakes they make, especially a 21 yr old keeper who is young and does need our support, so i wont say who deserves the no1 spot more, but on current form i would say short term lindegaard, hes done an amazing job every time he has been asked to come on, and this will give time for degea to bulk up and get his confidence back.
People argue that the havent seen him in action and he has no PL exp. well.. schmeichel came from the danish league.. even though Im from Denmark I am not afraid to say that the lvl is no where near the PL.. people writing him of are retards... lots of other big clubs wanted 2 sign him. One chance and he will rise to the occacion. Still not convinced?

this guy looks just as competent as any of the top goalkeepers in the premiership, im not suprised he has signed for man united he is still relatively young and there is world class trainers and coaching staff there to nurture his obvious talents!!

He's a hell of a goalkeeper. I've seen him a few times on T.V. and he has huge potential to be one of the best gks in the premier league..plus his height is a huge plus. Not many goalkeepers are as tall as him and the reflexes he possess and his diving are extremely top notch. He's a commanding goalkeeper and will be a great addition to United. Just give him a few minutes here and there and fans will see how great of a goalkeeper he is. Glory, Glory ManUnited.

Manchester United should buy 30+ goalkeeper not a young one. buying a young keeper usually risky. they are inconsistent. better have the older one but not too old.
I live in the city Aalesund. Neighbour town to Molde. And belive me, I was never convinced that Mame Biram Diouf was going to do well in england. We have much better players in norway. But he did.
Also, Ben Amos came to norway on loan to Molde, and totally made a fool of him self.
That means that the quality of the norwegian league is good.
Lindegaard was awarded best goalkeeper in norwegian league this year. afront of three national norwegian goalkeepers.
Anthonny Annan played supurb for Ghana in Essiens injury.
Without getting sold. It's sick and amazing.
A third player you should have a look at is Erik Huseklepp. Norwegian strikes. Youtube him. his MAD, Matchwinner for norway recently against France, Portugal and now Ireland. Hees much better than Mame Biram Diouf.
Lindegaard has been playing in Aalesund FK. And the club has gone from the bottom to 4 place. 100% Lindegaards fault. Lindegaard is just a crazy always hardworking goalkeeper. always gives everything even during training. He also getts angry conceding goals and his area is filled with confidence. The irony of the story is, Lindegaard was sold to Aalesund FK after loosing his place in Aab, they signed Roy Caroll, without even giving lidegaard a shot... And now they are having their regrets :)

@pat23flipsol No keeper would've caught that. The ball was knucked and was going up and down all sudden. You should see the full 90 minute game. Lindegaard saved 11 times against Ronaldo (and others too). 1 Goal was caused from defenders mistakes and lindegaard had touch on it in a point blank range shot from Ronaldo. Other 2 was from Sorensen playing injured. If Sorensen kept playing, game easily would've been 10-0. No way in hell Foster is better lol come on! be serious!
His reactions are quick and he's big and commanding in the box. UTD have spent a long time looking for a GK and wouldn't buy him unless they are sure he's a cracker. UTD realise the importance of having a good keeper, it's so important for the confidence of the defense. He def looks the part - Glory Glory Man Utd!!!!!!

Yes it is correct - the Mail and Telegraph are never wrong when they have explicit news with lots of detail. His old club have stated they are in England today to close the deal. The Norwegian league is now over so he will be at UTD in January.

@xXsantino07Xx Don't forget that Schmeichel wasn't really that experienced when we signed him. United were certainly the making of him. Also, I'd say Barthez was pretty experienced when we signed him, and we all know how that turned out. Let's give this bloke a chance before writing him off.

To me nothing less then a world class goalie is worthy of the Man Utd #1 jersey, Van der Sar has done it proud for a long time now but he's past his prime .We need some one just as good or even better to fill in his boots.

He's a hell of a goalkeeper. I've seen him a few times on T.V. and he has huge potential to be one of the best gks in the premier league..plus his height is a huge plus. Not many goalkeepers are as tall as him and the reflexes he possess and his diving are extremely top notch. He's a commanding goalkeeper and will be a great addition to United. Just give him a few minutes here and there and fans will see how great of a goalkeeper he is. Glory, Glory ManUnited.

I'm sick of Man Utd getting young Goalies! We tried Howard, Kuszcak and Foster and they've all failed! Who were the most recent experienced goalies we got? Schmeikel and Van der Sar! And look how they turned out! We should start getting experienced goalies again! Shey Given is sitting on the bench for City doing nothing! Or Akinfeev!

@dildojill Yea 27 but with 4 Danish titles in 5 years, UEFA Cup semi final and was ranked as one of the top ten goalkeepers in the world. Let me assure you Lindegaard is no way near what Schmeikel was at 27.

I live in the city Aalesund. Neighbour town to Molde. And belive me, I was never convinced that Mame Biram Diouf was going to do well in england. We have much better players in norway. But he did.
Also, Ben Amos came to norway on loan to Molde, and totally made a fool of him self.
That means that the quality of the norwegian league is good.
Lindegaard was awarded best goalkeeper in norwegian league this year. afront of three national norwegian goalkeepers.

Anthonny Annan played supurb for Ghana in Essiens injury.
Without getting sold. It's sick and amazing.
A third player you should have a look at is Erik Huseklepp. Norwegian strikes. Youtube him. his MAD, Matchwinner for norway recently against France, Portugal and now Ireland. Hees much better than Mame Biram Diouf.

Lindegaard has been playing in Aalesund FK. And the club has gone from the bottom to 4 place. 100% Lindegaards fault. Lindegaard is just a crazy always hardworking goalkeeper. always gives everything even during training. He also getts angry conceding goals and his area is filled with confidence. The irony of the story is, Lindegaard was sold to Aalesund FK after loosing his place in Aab, they signed Roy Caroll, without even giving lidegaard a shot... And now they are having their regrets :)

@pat23flipsol No keeper would've caught that. The ball was knucked and was going up and down all sudden. You should see the full 90 minute game. Lindegaard saved 11 times against Ronaldo (and others too). 1 Goal was caused from defenders mistakes and lindegaard had touch on it in a point blank range shot from Ronaldo. Other 2 was from Sorensen playing injured. If Sorensen kept playing, game easily would've been 10-0. No way in hell Foster is better lol come on! be serious!

His reactions are quick and he's big and commanding in the box. UTD have spent a long time looking for a GK and wouldn't buy him unless they are sure he's a cracker. UTD realise the importance of having a good keeper, it's so important for the confidence of the defense. He def looks the part - Glory Glory Man Utd!!!!!!

I'm a goalkeeper and he is just not that good, he flaps a lot! and his saves a not that clean..hes lacking that sharpness in his saves..Don't get me wrong, hes good, but not up there yet..

@carrickaka22 well, there are a lot of top names as you said, and for me one idel and not in the list would be Rob Green, hes brilliant and and england international, he just needs european footbal experience and a fare share of SAF hairdryer treatment..for young talents I can see De Gea as a pontential, and those german young golies in Neuer and Adler..they are both young and fantastic shoot stoppers..but for my, Rob Green has been overlooked..he'll be splended for Man Utd..(",)

@acecs19 Are you mental? Rob Green would be good for United? You clearly know next to nothing about football, let alone goalkeepers. Green is a pretty decent shot stopper, but that's about it. Not convinced about this guy either from what little I've seen (if Schmeichel doesn't think he's up to it, that's good enough for me). I'll tell you who is being over looked, Craig Gordon. He's a cracking all round keeper. Forget the rubbish about Scottish keepers, he was one of Keane's few good signings.

Yes it is correct - the Mail and Telegraph are never wrong when they have explicit news with lots of detail. His old club have stated they are in England today to close the deal. The Norwegian league is now over so he will be at UTD in January.

Utd have already agreed to pay de gea buy out clause for 15m but atletico are unhappy, de gea has agreed terms

I meant maybe Lindegaard was a fan of Schmeichel's as a youngster and wants to follow in his footsteps to Old Trafford, I didn't mean Peter supported him. Even if he wasn't that good now, United can develop him, that's what WE do with youngsters! How many people said Ronaldo was too skinny and would never excel in the PL? Well, 5years later he won the World Player of the year and won every trophy with United!
