I had a similar instance with a friendly-fire enabled TF2 server and the female player was happily killing off her teammates and acting like it was a mistake. When she shot me twice, I just killed her. She didn't try again, but was thoroughly surprised that I didn't give her a double standard.

i find the best defense is having as little between you and the zombies as possible, the zombies come in swarms yes but usually in clustered groups and a single teamate with an auto shotty can easily clear out one mob, staying in one corner of the map means that they zombies usually come from one general direction, keep your pals close to avoid smoker pulls and to save from hunters. when a tank comes make sure the person who's being chased has lots of room and the rest of the team can pick itoff

@ClunytheScourge1 The tank actually gets a 33% increase in speed when it is burning, he would of escaped had you not lit it up. i avoid using the molotov against the tank whenever i can cause all to often with the a.i. i end up getting caught and beaten to death.

What about the break-away wall-section, and the windows? And we did use fire at the base of the staircase from time to time, including fuel-canisters, but since we'd decided to burn the Tanks instead of gunning them down we needed to keep some molotovs saved up anyway - you might miss with your first throws.

You're right, it is a great game. The idea behind the Tanks and the other Special zombies is that the virus turning everyone into zombies mutated and started producing more powerful strains. I sometimes wonder if they reflect the victim, e.g. a Tank is produced when a steroid-abusing weightlifter is infected, a Boomer is produced when someone very obese is infected, a Witch was a suicidal Emo teenage girl, a Smoker was a 2 packs-a-day man, a Hunter is a jogger or homeless man.

But as an infected, she still rememered her human life, and now that she knows shes dead, all she can do is cry about it, and left alone, and somthing about that zombie tranformation gave her the ability to intsantly kill... im a fan geek of l4d man

You know what's funny is that whenever I play on expert, well any mode, we always stick to the closets/bathrooms so no one can come up behind us.

Then when the Tank comes we all go outside so we can have more room then burn/shoot it.

Then we head back t the closet/bathroom.

We aways make sure one person has a pipe bomb, so when we run to the rescue plan/car/boat the common infected will be distracted, and we make a run for it.

That's a pretty sound tactic. I've done that myself a couple of times - it isn't among my favourites, though, for the reasons I give in the video that a) It's a little dull, and b) There's a risk of Boomer-rush Common-Infected still coming while the Tanks are arriving, which can be risky (at least on the Expert setting, anyway, since you can't afford to get hit by the Tank even once if you want to survive).

If you really want to know when a tank is attacking, turn on full captions and it tells you when a tank is yelling, punching, picking up rubble, and so on, while telling you when the other special infected are doing their assorted things.

Probably Death Toll - I especially like the Town section, Level 4. I dig the atmosphere of discovering the remains of a ruined, dead community that barricaded itself against the Infected hordes and were overrun - it's so zombie-chic, just like the movies.
