  • 7:28. Taking a hit of a joint. Totally.

  • LOL our school is so shitty. They make Tigard look so great...but it's a freaking ghetto that has the highest dropout rate in the district >.< I still like it though, we have pretty awesome teachers ^_^

  • @chisquared03 our teachers are really cool :D

  • nicole barker was my math teacher in 2001!

  • i go to tigard! nicole barker was my math teacher last year!

  • Great job on implementing RTI. As many have stated, we all need to be aware that reading problems do not end in elementary schools. It is great to see a school working so hard to improve its students.

  • Great Video! It's good to know that high schools are also implementing RTI. I thought that it was a great idea to have the "combining intervention where reading and English are combined. The students are able to get the same content and not have to be pulled out also. The students are getting a better chance to succeed and this makes them want to work harder. MHopkins

  • Good Job Tigard High School!! Elementary students are not the only ones who struggle in reading and this school is helping this high schoolers! I think it is great that this school is willing to adapt schedules to make sure these students succeed and screen them before they even begin high school! This is a wonderful program and more schools need to look into this!

  • Tigard High School is doing great things for those students who are seemingly forgotten. Making success accessible to those who were left behind is wonderful. Giving this highschool kids a new outlook on life is excellent.

  • Way to go Tigard High School!!! Screening should not only take place in the early grades, but other critical grades as well. We truly are doing students a dis-service when we do not constantly re-screen them and determine what there needs are throughout all grades.

  • Great video.. Good details from opinionated instructors and students. The responding aspect seems to say early intervention is critical to preventing problems from getting out of control

    .great video to view

  • This videos states that RTI requires constant scaffolding and constant overlap in instruction. It states that teachers are doing more with the "core" curriculum due to RTI. It also states that PBIS and RTI can go hand in hand for the school system.

  • As we all know, RTI should be fluent and immediate. Therefore, like stated in the video, they had several issues helping students receive the appropriate credits they needed for high school. Overall, this was the first I have heard of any issues with trying to implement RTI in the higher levels of education.

  • One interesting aspect to me was that this video was just recently posted on January 12, 2010. It was also interesting that 26% of the school has free & reduced lunch. In this program they are looking at data, building up skills, becoming a leader and being engaged in learning. It was also another interesting aspect to me that the high school had a hard time implementing RTI because of the credit process of high school.
