¿Es usted crítico? Sus comentarios me parecen muy 'documentados'. ¿Ha estado, a caso, en la Sala Mozart del Auditorio de Zaragoza? Creo que hacer comparaciones de cómo sonó una obra hace mas de 30 años es un poco nostálgico ¿no? El mismo Maestro ha declarado en numerosas ocasiones que la sala susodicha es la mejor en acústica. This is a magnificent interpretation! I think the best interpretation of this section of the work on YouTube. Even Bernstein does not make the music flow organically like Mehta. And Mehta's soloists although no names sing with more fullness of tone than one is used to hearing these days. Excellent! If only the great Mengelberg had recorded this work!

No, it isn't true. The IPO plays"Hatikva" at the official ceremony of declaration of independence on 14 May 1948 at the Tel-Aviv Museum. The IPO launched its first recording with Mahler's symphonies conducted by Paul Klecki for Decca.
