  • Irish

    Incredible

    Immense.

    Dancing.

    Beautiful.

    Lovely.

    FABULOUS.

  • It was a way of placing some stills on record. A moving camera has been inventeda dn evidence is also on this site!

    Enjoy!

  • If only somebody would invent some sort of camera that can actually record moving images.

Aaah, well... maybe in a perfect world.

  • I really enjoyed these still shots - pity we could not see these incredible children dancing.

  • hiya if you wanna see more videos just search Boyle O'Dowda and it will come up with some vids for you!

  • There are other videos with the dancers dancing. This was a way of putting out some of the stills from the show.

  • funny irish dancing behind a british flag

  • Firstly, it's the SCOTTISH TATTOO, not the british or irish, secondly you obviously don't know what the scottish tattoo is about, and thirdly (incase you hadn't noticed) Northern Ireland is part of Britain.

  • Well actually if you must be so pissy, Northern Ireland is part of the UK, but not part of Great Britain...the official title is the "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Irekand"... but you obviously didn't know...

  • lol nit pick if you like but as you said, they are UNITED so NI is part of britain as is England, Scotland and Wales. and it wasn't even behind a british flag, the show actually has a flag from all the individual countries too. all i was saying was that was a stupid comment since deathrow obviously doesnt have a clue what the show is about

  • I agree 100%.

  • Thats what you think. N/Ireland belongs to Ireland and nobody else. You only think you own it.

  • excuse me!? I never said northern ireland belonged to anyone! that's like saying england is in charge of the whole of great britain which it clearly isn't.

  • @STHFGDBY haha. i've always the same. people who live in n. ireland have a stronggg irish exact. they only think they're british, imo.

  • @shobmeow Bang on right there dude..

  • @STHFGDBY Well, it actually belongs to Britain and her Queen. Lets not be silly, we both know that.

  • @flosssock No we don't, you just don't know it. N/ Ireland belongs to Ireland, the Irish and the Irish people. You can claim what you want, but mind you it's nice of your queen to pay our bills.

  • IRISH DANCE ALL THE WAY WHOOOOOO

  • boyle o'dowda rule we ARE the best!!!!

  • first song is lord of the dance anyone correct me if im wrong lol

  • No its right lol :)

  • What is this SONG!?!?!?!?!?!!?!

  • As listed on previous responses, the song is Lord of the Dance and this is an old country song but got picked up by Michael Flatley and used as the title song and dance of his hit musical.

  • @blond27xo

This song is final part of song "Lord of the Dance" from LotD.

  • @blond27xo The song is called (Lord of the dance)

  • NOS GUATARIA TENER EN LIMA PERU

  • belllooooo

    greatt dancingg :)

    talentt

    x

  • this is what i miss most of all. the dance outs

  • dance dance wherever you may be im and the lord of dance said he, i and ill take you wherever you may be and ill take you to the dance said he. just some of the lyrics of this song

  • This specifically is Lord of the Dance. The reason the tune probably sounds familiar is it's derivative of a very well known tune, Simple Gifts

  • YEA i was singing the song along with it, hehe!

  • could someone be so kind as to tell me the name of this song? I've heard lots of Irish Dancing music, its beautiful. I dont know the name of this though =D

  • As mentioned below...Lord of the dance.

  • @TheScottishTattoo micheal flatly is from america!!!! LOOOOOOL! and he freaks me out, his legs flail about as if indipendent from his body :L

  • Now I have no idea where the actual tune comes from but I do know that Riverdance has "Lord of the Dance" which this sounds like.

There is also a song from "The Business" called "Southgate (euro '96)" or something. At the end of that song they have a bit of lyrics that follow the same tune sort of.

  • "Lord of the Dance" is the title of a seperate show, the tune doesn't feature in "Riverdance".

It's actually a well known Hymn - a lot of religious folk got quite upset when Michael Flatley nicked it for his show!

  • That is a great misconception, Lord of the Dance and Riverdance are two completely separate shows. And incidently (whilst I know this particular piece was not composed by him) Lord of the Dance show music was composed by Ronan Hardiman, and Riverdance by Bill Whelan.

  • Lord of the Dance is about irish gypsy dance and music.

I have it, I collect tarantellas too. I like them.

  • @432player actually no I am a romanies myself and the Irish pavee are not gypsies they are just like you non-gypsies although they that lead a similar lifestyle.

  • @Pliochippus If you are still alive after two years. Its called the lord of the dance.

  • o wow,

i know samantha and bethany who are in this video!

  • nvm i got it

  • what does that mean

  • does anyone know the name of this song

  • See answer on previous response

  • Lord of the dance its from the show

  • yeah its Lord of the dance its taken from the show

  • is it true that by 2010 they're getting rid of solo dresses and no one will be allowed to wear them? i heard that we're all going to wear the same (or similar) costumes but they'll come in like 5 color options or something.

  • Yeah, sadly that's true. And I think this years World competitors will be the first year to abide by the "18 and over age group must wear black tights" rule.

  • i am not aan Irsh dancer but I have seen it before. Why are they getting rid of solo dresses? Is it because they want people to look the same?

  • the rule was for the less experianced dancers. once you are in the higher levels of competition you can wear them. you should see some of the girls. 5 yrs old and really materialistic lol

  • that sucks i like the socks better

  • that sucks so much

i heard about the tight thing

    but not the dresses

i havn'h even got the chance to where a solo dress yer

    :(

i was suposse to get one soon though

    lol

    ya well it still sucks

isnt there like a patition people can make or something?

  • i know its a bummer i heard abbout it last month i like socks better but i wear them in practice hey dont worry you will get your solo dress soon i had to wait for ages too but its worth it are you going to the worlds in 3 days OMG 3 days i cant wait im so excited

  • do ye all not know that irish dancing actually came from IRELAND WERE I LIVE it should b kept der

  • Ok. so I guess that means we should take any other sort of cultural feature not created in Ireland out of it, right?

  • ha aha ah only joking!! duh i'm from america! hehehe.. so were are u in irish dancing?

  • of course we know it came from Ireland moron, that's why its called IRISH dancing...and some of us are Irish or from Irish decendents so we're entitled...

  • right.... so then irish people who move abroad shouldn't be able to dance anymore then? incase you hadn't noticed we didnt 'steal' it from ireland the irish moved elsewhere and wanted to spread their awesome culture. but if you want irish dancing to die out thats fine....!

  • the music is breathtaking! And the dresses too

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!! XD

  • I LOVE this song(and not because of that show)

  • my sister was looking for this song for so long!!! (she is dancing to it in her class) she thanks you so much!

  • Oh right...so some of them are crap then...that's reassuring

  • Not crap at all...just with expertise limited by a shortage of experience!

  • can somebody tell me the title of the song?

  • Lord of the Dance

  • ugh i hate them wigs and makeup..

irish girls are ment to be pale and naturally curly

  • quite right-the mark of a true irish dancer "sore feet, big heart, flowing feet and the unbuyable irish heritage" GO GREEN!

  • Well, you have to take into consideration that it's a competition. Michael Flatley productions borught that air around, moving slightly from the traditional stuff. And, also, mdancing has become so popular now (once again, thanks to Mr. Flatley) that many of the girls are not Irish at all. So, althought you don't like the wigs and make-up (I don't either--I have to wear it!) just keep in mind that it's for a reason.

    ERIN GO BRAGH.

  • Blow me, but the frocks are something else, aen't they!!? But next time, please take a movie camera. :-(

  • is every body at ur school (dance) a champoin dancer? bc it says " Boyle-O'Dowda Irish Dance Academy of CHAMPION Dancers" kk bye bye!!

  • Right up to world champions!

  • very impressive! so, like no one in your school is allowed to be in open prizewinner?? what happens to the beginner dancers?? do u just move them up to open champion or somethin???

  • The Boyle-O'Dowda Academy is for everyone...beginner to world champion.

They perform at my show...because they are great!

  • oh i get it...i was confused.......it woiuld be silly if u couldnt go to the school bc u werent a champ dancer. but i understand now!
