@RubenRotar watched it before but i found this to be more twisted. mordum first of all u can barely tell wuts going on in a lot of the scenes and the characters are so annoying, i just lost interest. theres more gory scenes in mordum but in a serbian film, i found it had a stronger delivery. then again, just my opinion

I've seen the film. I was just like, what the hell? because I don't find jokes about rape,etc..to be funny.
I know that many people aren't being serious and I know about the whole debate over the fact that it's just a film, blah blah...it's still disturbing to me when I read them because I know this type of violence can happen in reality and I don't find it amusing when others take that so causually.
I don't expect anyone to agree with me though, I was just explaining.

@MsSlashgirl But there is a point to the violence in the movie. The director wanted to give the audience an idea of how the people in Serbia felt every day when they lived there during the genocde and conflits with Bosnia.
Plus you don't find rape jokes funny. lol

@ironman151 anyone can say whatever they want about the point of violence in any film. The problem is, that if the director really meant to say something, he could have made a political film, not a film where children are raped.
The same thing goes for the Greek film "Dogtooth".

@simpsonment1 Valid point. But its also a horror film or at least one if its sub genres where one of the goals is to disturb the audience. This movie goes way beyond any movie I have seen and its supposed to. I have never seen nor heard a baby getting raped in any other movie (thankfully cause I find it extremely unsettling too) but thats almost reason enough to put it in a movie. Its vary unforgiving but its supposed to be. Thats what film and art is about sometimes. What you can get away with.

@ironman151 I agree with you and this really went beyond everything I've ever seen. I liked it as far as plain unreasonable violence is concerned. But nobody needs to pretend that this film has any tone of sophistication in it, because it just doesn't. It was just like Hostel, but far more extreme.
