@fergoway2go You can suck my donkey nut sacks you cunt, If you have ever played a game at 60fps its silky smooth, but going over that allows you to do numerous other things while also keeping the frame rate good ... cunt
Who the fuck says anything over 60fps is not noticed!?? fuck you! ... the higher over 60 you go the smoother and more responsive your game becomes, its simple logic. You may not SEE the difference but you will FEEL it.
@googler69er you feal the difference... what your keyboard gives you a massage when you pas 60 fps? the human eye cant see past 60-75FPS and you cant feal something your looking at... 70FPS and 300FPS look the same
The author of this video is illustrating the quality of viewport rendering which in 3d apps is predominantly down to the gpu. I honestly believe that if you where familiar with 3d apps and workstation graphics cards you would appreciate the comparison
@Luky1Jay: Tesla is not a conventional GPU. It's a GPGPU that can be stacked up and work in tandem with the CPU to help in rendering or calculating ridiculous amount of work (says: 12 hours rendering -> 30min, fluid dynamic, weather forecast, protein folding etc.)
@ARUandre: do you have a clue about what you were talking. And I mean "do you have it", not that you think you have it
seriously mate, you need to get over yourself... you have two cars that indeed take up some ram and graphics... but you design a building with renderings and flora then come and post a video here.. fu%k your ebay sales mate... not everyone cares bout your display or ram...
by the way, i dont know if you are aware but gfx cards make no difference to renders. they only help with the display. This vid shows the difference between two cards - seems like your pissed off because your running on a 8meg voodoo card from back in '96. lol
Displays are based on the quality of the graphics card, yet the virtual memory is drained to obviously render the model. And if you are comparing two cards then why you talking of speed? When you shift a virtual model around like you did, you are taking on ram and not .. erm graphics? Even if I did have the voodoo card from 96 .. (seems to be an insult of some sort)... I would not make a video on it lol. Seriously mate, get over yourself...
i thought it was all based on magic and spells. not.
the graphics card allows polygons to be rendered to your display, the higher the bandwith/triangles per second/memory speed/pipelines/core speed/instruction set etc etc the better the performance. why do you think people spend money in newer faster performing graphics cards instead of just buying more ram or increasing the virtual memory size? i'm way over myself but it seems like somebody is jealous lol!
ya, you have no fuckin clue what you are talking about. This card isnt designed for gaming, its for autocad and workstation applications. But it would still rape any home pc video card from that year.
YOU CAN NOT COMPARE THOSE CARDS. A 7300GT is a LOW LOW LOW end card. Its not even a BUDGET gaming card its lower than that. Compare it to AT LEAST a 7600gt preferable 7900GT
I have to say, always a pet peeve of mine to hear people bring out the old apples and oranges tripe. You can compare anything to anything...perhaps not brilliantly but it's done. Pretty good video, I didn't see much difference until you turned off the shadows with the Quadro and then it was noticeably much smoother. As you said...that's brilliant!
I kinda agree, Quadro FX supports hardware openGL, and the 7300GT is a gaming card which doesn't. Which means that any 3D CAD or other 3D program that is running on a pc that doesn't have a 3d graphics card with OpenGL support, forces it's OpenGL to be run through software. And that's why everything slows down heavily ...

@unstable112 I dont disagree with you at all. It is quite out of proportion since one card is rubbish and the other is (was) pretty good and both are aimed at different markets. But sometimes people do like to see what the real differences are, even though its obvious, its good to see. :)
Lol do you you're the noob, you know the difference between the cards?
Lets forget the memory, the Quadro cards are aimed at professional development like 3D modeling, animation, rendering. Of course it will beat the Geforce cards in development tasks. However the Geforce cards were aimed at gaming not development so therefor they will perform "shit" in development situations! Do some research before you start criticizing people and don't you try and tell me that I'm wrong.
Well that really depends, if your trying to compare the GTX 280 to most Quadro cards in Dev. Situation the Quadro's will beat the GTX. However if your comparing in a gaming situation, say playing "Crysis" the GTX will max out on frame per second but the Quadro's like the 4400 will only probably max out at 13 fps.
it cant be done yet, maybe in the next version of max or maya they might. Adobe photoshop CS4 uses the GPU and multiple CPU's to redraw and speed up photoshop! so max and maya should be able to in the future!
lol no idea.. i recon the quadro would still beat it. I'm using a quad core mac pro now with an ati 1900xt. Its not as good as the quadro for 3D apps like Cinema 4D, but for games the 1900xt is better. :P
woot your the actual idiot. the fx 5500 is better than most 8800 gtx. Fx 5600 even rivals with 8800 ultra with some applications and a few games. Although the 8800 ultras are specialized for games, fx 5600 and 4600 can handle games like a piece of cake. I myself have an sli configuration with 8800 ultras (xps 720) and one with fx 5600's (precision 690). The 690 runs crysis a bit better and scores higher on 3dmark06 because of its 2 quad cores at 3.2 ghz. The 720 is faster only when I oc at max.
Quadro is for 3D Graphic design(expert level)and its real time renderer espicially in the Viewport in graphic programs like 3DMAX and MAYA,& its full supported with this programs and work with D3D and OpenGL.
while GeForce is for Games and its driver is not supported with all graphic design progams ( and do not support D3D ( direct 3D) maybe the last series yes!
Have you guys seen the Quadro FX 5600? It costs like, $3000, it came out a while ago, and it's still way ahead of the consumer market. Pixar and them probably use something similar to it.
I run a Quadro FX4000 256MB DDR2 AGP8x and it handles SketchUp Pro 6 with ease... it's quality you notice mostly and also in games the filtering and pixel accuracy just blows gaming cards away but for the frame rates which are though still very reasonable.

graphics cards won't help you for rendering(except you use gelato but it sucks), if you want your visualization faster then just one fx 5600 is enough. for rendering i recommend a core 2 quad
hi thanks for uploading this i'm a sketchup user and i definetly need to know what kind GPU do i need to run Sketchup smoothly without buying a MAC...BTW how much RAM did you have
hi. I had 2gigs on each machine. Sketchup or any other 3d app requires a nice gpu - the nvidia Quadro's are the nuts, but even a high end gaming card would be ok. BUT a high end gaming card wont beat a quadro card wen it comes to 3d software.

The comparison is irrelevant. Quadro FX4400 uses a NV45 core, much more powerful than the entry line G73 on the 7300 GT.
That, besides the fact that the 512MB frame buffer is probably what makes the Quadro run better.
