  • Therefore, brothers, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught, either by an oral statement or by a letter of ours. - 2 Thes 2:15

But if I should be delayed, you should know how to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth. - 1 Timothy 3 15

  • Tradition over scripture, that sounds pretty sound.

You say no one lives on the bible alone?

Better watch Walter Veith" the wine of babylon".

I just cant believe what I'm hearing here, let the new world order begin.

  • The two biggest objections to Catholicism from non-Catholics are the issues of Papal infallibility and the true presence of Christ in the Eucharist.

Peter (Mt 16:19) is given pre-eminence and authority over the Church by Jesus. Jn 6:30-58 explains Eucharist. Jn 6:63 clinches it.

Infallibility has to do with Church teaching and requires more than the thoughts of one man. Note that all earthly leaders require qualified advisors.

    Part 1

You need to read all of John chapter 6.It focuses on the true understanding of BREAD.The bread or manna that the Moses and his people ate,was what the disciples and Jesus ate, was physical food to stop their hunger.

The disciples like Moses followers 1500yrs before were only interested in the physical food, not the miricles of God.Jesus knew this..John 6v26,27

Jesus himself alone and to believe on him was AND IS the true bread.JOHN 6v47,48.He is not in the Eucharist.

  • @gagold452

    Part 2.

Jesus was only using bread as a parallel example to the physical bread they ate in his teachings.Your Eucharist is physical like the bread Moses and his followers ate.

    John6v49.

The catholic church is taking out of context the parallel example of physical bread to Jesus the bread of life. Parallels do not meet!

Jesus was making comparisons between himself and food for sustinance.

Both are important, but one more important than the other...THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

  • Part 3.

Mt16v17-19 which you refer to is what Jesus said to Peter. Its what Peter said to Jesus is what Jesus was interested in...The words of Peter only not Peter himself the man!

It was the revelation that Peter had of Jesus that Jesus commended. Its this revelation that we Christians and not RC catholics have. When you invite Jesus into your heart only you then have the power as in Matt 16v19.

Please read all of Mattew chapter16!

    Especially Matt16v23!

    Cheers!

  • @Corsaircid so what does the bible mean when it says if you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you shall have life????

I am the bread of life.???

and why did some people have a problem with his teaching about eating his flesh and drinking his blood..to the point where some walked away because the teaching was difficult???

What did Jesus mean by " do this in memory of me?"

  • @MsNairobi Some people at that time understood what he said this, to be cannibalism. It was his "Going to the cross" and being striped by cords is what he was referring to..It's what actually happened. He died for our sins by the shedding of his blood and crucifixion.

Some walked away because of his teaching, others walked away anyway to carry on his teaching. The disciples stayed with him.

It's When you drink and eat bread, and you think of his victory over death on the cross at the same time.

  • Hi Marcus,

You say at approx 2.45-3.12 "The bible alone is sufficient isn't biblical, doesn't make sense,is not philosophical, theoretical sound and in fact exists nowhere in the world.

No one lives on the bible alone."

Marcus, the bible contains the word of God and Jesus words are the Bread of Life....only!

Everyone looks at the Bible is through tradition and this the mistake.

Your on the ecumenical movement which is also part of the NWO.

    Cheers!

  • @Corsaircid...Brother, Marcus is home. I doubt he will ever go back to half truths. In the Catholic Church he has found THE WHOLE TRUTH. Have you ever seen his show The Journey Home on EWTN? Come over to my channel. I have that show on my playlist. You're more than welcome to watch the videos. Pax Christi +

  • @LatRiteC Hi,Jesus is the way the truth and the life only.

Jesus is The Whole Truth. The King James Bible is the whole truth which gives the true meaning of Jesus. No verses ommitted as with other bibles. Respond to my comments with verse references in the Bible. Jesus is the Rock,His word is the Rock which is in the KJV Bible.

The Catholic Church is based on Mary,The Pope who is only a man& other Pagan beliefs.

Only by the blood shed by The Lord Jesus Christ you are saved so call on him.

    Cheers

  • @Corsaircid....Brother, could you please explain to me how Mary and The Pope derive from pagan beliefs?

  • @LRC. Hi,I could spend a lot of time answering your questions. If your are going to spend the rest of your life in a belief, then you for your own eternal salvation put all your faith on THE LORD JESUS CHRIST only.He without sin, went to the cross and shed blood for for your Salvation. Get a KJV Bible and read it yourself. Also get a "cover to cover" bible aid book that I highly recommend from any Christian book shop. Its for you alone to decide.

    Cheers!

  • Hi Marcus,

You are going through a searching of your faith. This is commended.

However what you are basically doing is simply switching one tradition for another.Protestantism basically came out of Roman Catholicism which was at that time Christianity married to paganism.Wrong teachings by the Pope in which by good works you are saved.

You are viewing Jesus and the New testament through traditions!

The Lord Jesus Christ was against tradition. Matthew15 verses 1to 9.

    Mark7 verses 1to8.
