Seriously people, the iPhone was NOT the first black candybar phone with a GPS system. Heck, it DOESNT have a GPS. The iPhone's selling point is multitouch interface, this one is fully integrated GPS. Two different starting points
Cheesy Ad yes, idea A1 . Nokia , Samsung ,etc just got a kick up the rear ,your not telling me all these phone companies didn't think of giving its customers all the software this gadget provides , I would think if someone was going to steal all your customers I would be getting my act together and trying to better the rest of the competition good luck to the NUVIFONE ,over to you now Nokia , Samsung , Sony Ericsson, etc beat that at a reasonable price of course .Interesting summer ahead .
I actually like this if it has a pretty good responsive screen and a better camera than the iphone i definitely think it would be an iphone killer. What the iphone doesn't have over this is the top of the line GPS.
Holding back then on my SE GSM Clamshell may just be a prudent path to stay patient and make do for another few months (boleh tahan lah... coz this Nuvifone just about encapsulate the current typical usage we actually go through daily, well, for most of us I believe...
...and the best practical side of it that I found is the "snap & click" and send across to the other person who then receives albeit sms or email, which further aids him/her by her replica GPS identical which automatically stored the co ordinates which then helps to drive up to the designated snapped venue...WoW.
Being in sync with just one transmit.. that's a pretty cool forward step for a cellfone-cum-GPS that also web browse and doesn't lose the telco either during a change of situation... awesome!!!
let me get this right... it's a GPS with a phone attached to it. what makes it different then my iPaq w.Live Search? i have wifi, bt, phone and GPS. w.live search, i can pinpoint where i am via the GPS and search what's around me (tons of POI to cheapest gas) and get directions on how to get there. so...... what am i missing here? the OTHER person would also need to have a nuviphone to benefit what you send them on how to get to where you want to meet up. ehh.. i'll pass. thanks though.
Great looking product. However, this has to be some of the worst marketing copy ever written or spoken. For the people who would buy this, they make it sound like it sound terrible! So fake and awkward. If I didn't know better, I'd say it was a parody on commercials like this.
very cool idea and has some great functions but the interface is extremely ugly and therefore it wont to appeal to many people. you can always buy a blackberry and just get the garmin software for it instead. the iphones interface is extremely cool and i think that garmin should take a look into basing the nuvifone interface off of the iphone. also, terrible quality commercial. i hope that never airs on tv...

I CANT WAIT FOR THIS PHONE! I have an excellent Nuvi GPS, and if this phone lives up to its name, it should be a dream.
The commercial is dopey.

I think nowadays it all comes to processing power, memory RAM and storage capacity.
The new computer-like handheld devices can almost do anything.....but not very good.
I hope Garmin thinks about that and make nuvifone great
(As I have been a Garmin fan and I own I new nuvi 760 :D )

It has something the iPhone doesn't.
True GPS. Even better, it's a Garmin GPS device.
That's a deal-maker.

Do you think that Nokia will think seriously about gps navigation and team up with tom tom or any gps company?
I prefer garmin all the way through from tom tom though!

Now, if this has a Blackyberry application, this would be a killer phone. The Nokia e90 has a BB app.
