This is where the British made the mistake, by ordering Adnan and his squad to relocate from Bukit Pasir Panjang to Bukit Chandu. If they realise that their squad had held the Japanese troops for beyond what is expected, then they wouldn't have relocated to Bukit Chandu just like that. It was a diversionary tactic by the Japanese to draw away Adnan's troop from the impregnable Bukit Pasir Panjang.

I hope that the director Aziz M Osman will release a re-mastered version of this classic war film that we all love.

Hopefully, we will see a lot of Malaysian directors soon producing more war films like this example, focusing on sacrifice and bravery, instead of just making comedy and cheap horror films.

Aku rasa nk direct "remake" movie ni. Supaya ada effect/style macam dlm filem Saving Private Ryan.

Satu kisah perjuangan yang patut kita ingati selalu.

yups.. I agree with you. The remake of this movie should have graphic and sound effect like western movies.

If the director capable to that, this movie can compete in international market.

Overall, the story line is excellent and it only need touch up on the graphic, props and sound effect.

Yups.. you've got my support. There are many books about the battle of Malaya & Singapore. Most of the book became bestseller.

I think, any attempt to remake this movie will have chance to success.

If I have US$ 100 -200 in my pocket, I'll definitely remake this movie.

Absolutely. There ARE many books about those battles, even the rare battles that people haven't heard of, which took place in both Malaya and Singapore.

Man! There are so many chances of making 'em into movies, or maybe long-running series just like Band of Brothers.

hahaha.. something like band of brothers or battlefield investigation etc definitely will do.

Our local film production companies are lack of capital and maybe confidence as well. look at tae guk gi ( korean war movie ), despite we hardly can understand korean, but they managed to hit the block buster and collected million of bucks.

It's not about what type of languages and where the cast come from. It's all about the story line, graphic and sounds effect.

Tae Guk Gi? That's a real impressive masterpiece. That film's so intense, everything war here is so gorish and realistic!

This Lt. Adnan presentation proves to be the ultimate first step. But we need to see more breakthroughs. It's okay if our directors don't possess budget too high. A low budget should work-out. And it's okay if a film contains low amount of visual effects. A great storyline, stunt actions, sound and intensity effect (like camera shake, blur etc.) would be enough.
