  • Thanks for the tip. You helped me so much idk why but lately this has been a big issue.

  • Thank you that is such a big problem for me lately

  • now i need a box of these xD

  • OO BUY A BALLOON AT THE DOLLAR STORE!!!

  • i just rub lotion on my hands and put it on my hair when it gets static :)

  • @sfldf121 so do I! and it works! ;)

  • Your hot ;)

    And thanks for the tip

  • Thank you!!

  • Thanks so much! I just got this new haircut and the layers become static when i brush or comb them and this works. Im only in 8th grade and the whole image thing is really important. This will help me look my best!

  • so can the sheet be reused or do you need to use a new one each time?

  • OMG I WILL TRY TO DO THAT, i DONT KNOW WHY BUT i TAKE A SHOWER AND PUT CONDITIONER AND WHEN I BLOW DRY IT IT GETS ALL STATIC!!!! AND THEN I DUNNO WHAT TO DO!!

  • water works but it only works for like a couple of minutes.

  • Haha we use those sheets on our dog to make him smell nice and help with his shedding.:)

  • Well u can also put water/or some liquid such as saliva in ur hair...

    But saliva is kinda gross.

But yeah liquids are a conducter of electricity so problem solved :D

  • Where did you get this idea?

  • at the beginning of the video , she said she got the idea from her mom

  • Her mom told her when she was lil!!

  • thanks for the tip :) i also found that hairspray works just as well to keep static away. i just spray it in my brush and brush through my hair and then it goes away :D lol

  • hint laugh lover it doesnt work for everone

  • this works!! I have used "the dryer sheet" alot in the morning and I also use hairspray it I have no static all day in my hair!! goodi!!:)

  • do.. your supose to cary around a box of fabric softeners everywhere?

  • hahaha. just carry a sheet in your wallet or purse or something.

  • Thisdoesn't work on my straight hair!

  • The problem with this is that it doesn't keep the static away. At all. It will take away the static in your hair, but the moment you go to move around again, your hair is static-y. You'll be wiping your head a couple of times per hour with this drier sheets. It's the ions in the air in the winter that cause the static, so trying to combat that is difficult, especially since winter air, depending on location, is usually quite dry. =/

  • omg thanx at school my hair goes staticy its embrassing at school, and even more embrassing at my school is that when i have my hair straight then i go to school for gymnastics then i do like front rolls then my hair get crazy and wild in my mouth and stuff.thanx.i CANT wait to try this!!

  • I laughed. It reminded me of a roomate I had who always came up with little things like this. But, they worked. Thanks for the tip! I thought my hair was damaged, but it was just static.

  • what about the smell that it leaves on your hair?

  • LOL just buy one with great smell XP

  • AGREE!i dont like that smell

  • My hair goes proper static all the time and the thing i try is before i blow dry my hair i put in the 'Aussie' anti-frizz leave in conditioner and then i put on this 'VO5' stuff called 'Silky Smooth miracle mist' and that stop my hair going static at all and you don't need to do it all over again during the day you only need to do it once!! thankyou ! x

  • My hair always gets staticy, it's so embarrising out in public and annoying because it sticks to your face. I've tried that, but it just goes staticy again after like an hour! I also have a really thick hair too.

  • ive tried that and it works really good

    thanxs

  • omg thnx u so much i nvr knew dat

  • ooo thanks I can't wait to try this!!!

  • Hey!! What a great hair tip! I always have the static problem in the winter, when I straighten my hair. I'll be going through my day from place to place and my hair statics!! I'm gonna try this! Thanks!

  • WOW!!!! OMG!!!

    left me breathless

    I never knew that

    but thank you SO MUCH

  • This really does work. It's amazing! :D

  • wow thanks :D thats an awesome tip :)!

  • oh man that was an awesome tip

    thankie!

  • You can also lightly spray your hairbrush with anti-static cling spray. Again, use only in moderation because 1 - is smells funky and 2 - is can make your hair oily if you use too much.

  • i wonder who first tryed this... "lets see what happens when i rub this all over my hair instead of putting it in my dryer" but hey it worked so i'ts all good...thanks for the tip

  • @awesomebigsis94 hahah that's so funny! :)

  • omg thanks lol! i mean who knew lmao! thanks for sharing that with us!! hope it works for me!

  • OMG!

    Thank you!!

    :D

  • my mom told me that too! it really works!

  • your mom was very clever and i really appreciate the fact that you have shared it with everybody :) that was a very kind thing todo :)

    xx

  • classic....i luv it

  • haha! that has got to be the most creative thing I've ever heard of!

  • You can also rub your hands with lotion, and when you've rubbed your hands to where it's almost dry, then rub through your hair. I have straight thick hair and I get static, but the lotion has been a life saver!

  • thanks a milion, really cuz I just got this gorgeous smelling lotion last night, so yea, great idea thanks.. ♥

  • haha great tip... I alwys thought abt doing that, but just found it a little weird

  • thanks! i had static hair yesterday. how embarressing. i ended up just putting up my hair.

  • thx for the tip = D

  • I have straight hair and it's been getting all static-y on my, especially at work. It just sticks to my face or the computer. Definitely gotta go get those fabric softeners.

    Thanks!

  • wow thts amazing!! i should try tht

  • AHHH! I have straight hair but I still get static when it's windy outside. I'm DEFiNiTELY trying this one. Thanks PB :D

  • I did this once and it burned my head so bad.

  • Well this would work great for me because I have like, really static-y hair, but I can't even try it because my brother is alergic to dryer sheets. Ha. This kinda sucks. :-/

  • wow...GREAT tip

  • Ur so heLpfuL :]

  • my mom showed me that but sheould run the fabric sheet through her brush first.. then just brush her hair. it works just as good.

  • actually really bad idea thos things are flammable

  • what a great tip! your awesome! :)

  • You are so adorable

  • i hate all that static-ness!

    awesome!

i needa try your tip now.

    :D

  • This worked amazingly!!!!

  • good idea

  • i love it!

  • Awsome Tip :]

  • nice it probably would help sent too!

  • LOL that's not a bad idea :D

  • Although they may make your clothes feel soft and smell fresh, fabric softener and dryer sheets are some of the most toxic products around. And chances are that the staggering 99.8 percent of Americans who use common commercial detergents, fabric softeners, bleaches, and stain removers would think twice if they knew they contained chemicals that could cause cancer and brain damage.

  • Do whatever you deem is fit. Just remember no matter what you do, there's "poison" all around you. Anyone could die because of what they eat, wear, use, etc and food that's genetically modified can kill you too.

Organic food is not 100% "organic" either. And yes we got your "do not use fabric softener already" message.

  • ok agreed a lot of things around us have chemicals in them but if someones saying fabric softners in PARTICULAR are very toxic its an important thing to note. trust me, if your food was as toxic as these things you'd be dead. saying something like "you're gonna die one day anyways" is just stupid. i can go swallow some rat poison and be like "thats ok theres chemicals all around me anyways i'll be fine, I'm gonna die someday anyways" im not saying these would kill you, your argument just sucks

  • Eh... well I never heard of anyone dying from a dryer sheet. o.o;

  • Here is a list of just some of the chemicals found in fabric softeners and dryer sheets:

Benzyl acetate: Linked to pancreatic cancer

Benzyl Alcohol: Upper respiratory tract irritant

Ethanol: On the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Hazardous Waste list and can cause central nervous system disorders

    Limonene: Known carcinogen

A-Terpineol: Can cause respiratory problems, including fatal edema, and central nervous system damage

Ethyl Acetate: A narcotic on the EPA's Hazardous Waste list

  • News flash, no matter what you do, you're going to die one day. Yeah fabric softener contains a lot of chemicals. So does the food you eat.

Learn to use things in moderation. It's as if you cannot use certain things at all just because they'll cause this and that.

Scientists say somethings are safe. And then the next, they're dangerous STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

  • Camphor: Causes central nervous system disorders

    Chloroform: Neurotoxic, anesthetic and carcinogenic

Linalool: A narcotic that causes central nervous system disorders

Pentane: A chemical known to be harmful if inhaled

  • Dryer sheets are particularly noxious because they are heated in the dryer and the chemicals are released through dryer vents and out into the environment. Health effects from being exposed to the chemicals in fabric softeners include:

Central nervous system disorders, Headaches, Nausea, Vomiting, Dizziness, Blood pressure reduction, Irritation to skin, mucus membranes and respiratory tract, Pancreatic cancer

  • if u go to one of thoughs laundry places wouldnt there be the fabric soft things being exposed to lots of people

  • Great tip!

  • thanks for the tip but do you have one on like hairy eyebrows and moustaces

  • koolio tip :p

  • OH NO!!!! gr I'm Allergic to Fabric Softner & I have very frizzy hair. Do you have some other ways?

  • i heard if u spray static gaurd in ur hat it will help prevent static (but i guess that only works if ur coming in from outside and wore a hat to begin with.

  • I also use Static Guard, but all I do is spray some on my hair brush then brush it through my hair and it works wonders! Hope that helps. :)

  • My comment was for girlystuff16, btw. :)

  • fabric softener works good:]

& it wont hurt you unless if your

allergic. its nice. and helps ALL tatic:]

  • thank you sooooo much! good bye static!!

  • Thanx 4 the tip, very helpful. :)

  • I buy the Static Guard spray. Spray it in my hair brush and brush my hair with it. No static all day.

  • could you do a video about " How to do curls for straight hair " ?

  • ik i have been wanting that, my hair is SOOOOO straight and i can never get that natural curl like taht she had during this vid or like waht miley cyrus and selena gomez have and i have tried like everything

  • hey pursebuzz i would love to see more videos for winter hair do's and makeup, oh do you do winter clothing ideas...

  • My mom told me this as well!! It works like a charm everytime!

  • oh wow thanks i was wondering :)

  • I tried this and uhh I don't know what to think of it because i kinda had white stuff getting on my hair and I was like o_o! So I don't know, if it's suppose to do that or is there a way to get rid of the white stuff?

  • oh wow! that so cool!!

how many times can you reuse the sheet?

  • This happens to me all the time. I never thought of this. Great idea! Keep sending more tips.their awesome.

  • i just saw this tip on the elf website too.

  • wow praslisa is rude.

    i loveee u pursebuzz

  • Dangit! My friends always laugh at me when I pull out my dryer sheet to de-static my hair!

  • I wrote you on the, now which one was it? the spiral one I think, anyway I was asking about frizz, and you have just answered the question!! You are so adorable, and I think you should get paid for this!!

  • Thank you so much for this tip. I always get static head when I put my winter coat on and go out to the car. I look like a "nipple head". This is so convenient to carry along with you. I will tell EVERYONE I know about this.

  • Lighten up sweetie. Purse has a very intelligent convienient way of handling static, and she's trying to pass along a great tip. Your way may work too, but take it easy. Next time you have an idea, just simply state it. No need to insult.

  • I didnt insult sweetie! I just said it's not safe! Nothing bad in that, I think....

  • well not everyone has tht stuff and most ppl have fabric softener sheet things and i think its a great idea

  • guess its their choice if they want to ruin their hair. beauty is pain. LOL plus i colour my hair every 4 weeks so im doing alot of damage to my hair but i've got products that take care of it ^__^ if you're hair looks healthy or fake healthy then its okay i think. No one will know.

  • beauty isnt pain when its natural though is it?

  • exactly. but theres always room for improvement and you can always make yourself look more beautiful even if you're naturally beutiful.

  • wow my 6 yrs old daughter always gets static..thanks so much!!!!!!!! This has made me definately subsribe to you. Love your tips!

  • i agree with jellybeansrus. please do us a favor and lighten up sweetie. It was just a tip. hence the title says static hair tip. Just like your organic conditioner is a tip, pursebuzz was giving us her tip, doesnt mean everyone will try it just like your organic conditioner. IT WORKS FOR PURSEBUZZ!! and believe her when she says she knows what static is!!!! not everyone has hair like you

  • haai imjust wondering -

this works well for me ,

buut if you do this all the time

will it do damage to your hair ?

  • omg! my friend allie has extremely curly hair and i give her dryer sheets and everyone makes fun of her because when u see her she is rubbing her hair but it works and her hair looks better!!!

  • ill have to try that.

and i found that the more you touch your hair to try to calm it down. the worse it gets. even when i straighten my hair.

  • ooohh ! thanks

  • thanks! ill have to try that, i usually just wear my hair up like all winter cuz it gets so static-y. so this is awesome :]

  • I do this it works!!!! and it does repel the mosquitoes.

  • wow! i learned something

  • me too!

  • Really random but thank you a bunch, haha..

  • lol cool

  • thank you!

  • your hair is so cute.

  • i run fabric softener on the inside of my dresses especially the ones form fitting ones with the silk-like fabric to prevent them from clinging. Thanks for the tip! never thought of running it through hair!!

Do you have any tips with babyhair? i have lots of them and nothing will help push them down, gel and hair spray makes it too flat.

  • Oh my God ! Not enough that you put hair spray and gel in your baby's hair..now you want to put dryer sheet?Think of the chemicals that are inside of those things ! Your baby is still growing. Dont take a chance with chemicals please.

pursepuzz, see what u do with your tips ???

  • no not a baby's hair. my own baby hair. the short hairs that stick up on the part of your hair. no way would i put any chemical products on an actual baby. that's just wrong!

but i was referring to the hairs that are slowly growing and they stick out like a sore thumb especially on your part and along your hairline. i always have trouble with them.

  • i was gonna request this

    thank you!!!

  • I tried this on my hair and it didn't work =( nothing works for me though, I guess I'll just have to deal with my frizzy hair foreverrrr!! hehe just a little drama. Love your videos pursebuzz!

  • Did it work for the static?

  • Ok, sorry but my native language is not English, it's Portuguese. What's the difference between static and frizzy? I thought one thing led to another or sth. omg! help!! but still, every time I try to straighten my hair all that horrible frizz shows. I don't know what to do I'm trying all kinds of products out there =(

  • hahaha i'll try that for sure.

  • My hair stylist told me that tric to use washer sheet things

  • that's what they are.

you put them in the dryer

    to do whatever. but yeah

    theyre the samme thingg !

  • I don't think we have fabric softener sheets or whatever you guys call them here in Australia.. Or at least I don't think we do.

  • You might have dryer sheets?

Look for things you put into

your dryer to soften fabric .

  • Thank you for the tip. Does it matter what kind of fabric softener?

  • Weellll she used generic brand,

    so it proobably doesn't matter.

  • you're so cute how you're constantly smiling :)

  • A veterinarian once told me to use non-scented dryer sheets on my pets. It works beautifully, especially on long haired animals. I never thought of using it on myself, great idea!

  • This is so cool - Thanks for the Tip.

    Love your hair!!!

  • HONEST I was dealing with static hair today as i was browsing through your vids and saw this it worked how amazing thanks pursebuzz

  • hey Pursebuzz, my hair is super flat cuz i use loads of gel but now i stop....is there anyway i make my hair un-flat lols

  • i put root lifter spray and it works great! i get my hair done and i pick it up a little on the side of my part and spray the roots. i tease it and put my hair on top of it. you cant tell and my hair is just lifted

  • great tip! i need to buy me some of those!

  • Wow great tip! Love it! Thank you so much for this.

  • Thank- you!! in the winter my hair is always all over the place when i go outside for 2 minutes even if it's u and it's so annoying! That's a really cool technique.

  • you can also put a spritz of hair spray on your hair brush and brush out the static my mom taught me it when my hair was sticking up on picture day lol

  • i have really long, thick, curly hair. and i straighten it everyday, i wont leave the house without doing it, but when its really humid, my hair curls again. any tips ?

  • It's a sheet you add to the dryer when you dry clothes to remove the static and make them nice and soft.
