  • It's like Retro made the song to perfectly mix with the original one!

  • wow.. this is pretty epic!

  • I love both themes :) Now they are together OMG!!!

  • Oh wow, what a combination of tracks from two games. Even though the second track was just a upgrade of the SNES version. They still are great and awesome together.

  • Oh jesus. It's beautiful.

  • Wasn't that also the theme for Maridia?

  • @IwantmyMTVback This music is from that part where you access Maridia. There's water there too. But once you cross the door to Maridia (the upper one) the music changes.

  • Samus: Oh hello leechy thing hiding behind the red blocks. Don't mind if I drop a power bomb to get in here do you? (Ooowwweuuuuw)

  • Whoa not bad. You combined the 2 themes together.O_O

  • wow - very nice - the original still sounds better

  • Holy hell this is chill to the max.

  • After having played Super Metroid after the prime series, you begin to go back through some of the music of the other games and begin to see how it was re-implemented.

In other words, this just blew my mind.

  • amazing here wow cool indeed

  • beautiful!

  • the best song to play when swimming

  • this is really damn fucking epic man,you have to do more of this!

  • i hate the alpha blog in this area freaking hard!

  • FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!

  • I would write an essay about how incredible this game is.

    ZOMBIE CANCER :D hehe YAH!!

  • Nice mash up

  • incredible.

  • holy shit this is AWESOME

  • This is a brilliant interpolation. Makes an already haunting tune even more ambient and brooding and still a perfect fit for either game.

  • It's nice. But not as good as actual remix's.

I enjoyed it non the less.

  • I would agree with all these other fans of Metroid. I am not using an account, only a friends, to communicate. I would like to hear more genius from a master like you. The suggestion of lower norfair and magmoor caverns might be interesting. An the link to your songs. Not to pressure you but I am looking for some more songs. Another suggestion, Ridley themes. Try to work on your fans ideas an maybe we can put up a "bargain";)

  • This isn't the Torvus Bog theme. This is the Undertemple theme. there's a difference, but the mix is still awesome. Man, I need to play MP2 again.

  • This isn'r the Torvus Bog theme. it's the...whatever-you-call-it theme. The one where you fight the Alpha Blogg. OMG, I need to play these games now!

  • to tell the truth I didn't like this version a week ago - because of panmandan's - I heard that one months before this - but now this seems so genius and I love it

  • Reallly good combination i like how the tunes kinda pick eachother up One kinda carries another if that makes any since at all And it blends very well together somtimes the music of a game is the only reason why ill buy a game lol

  • Not bad, I like it!

  • Ah, the link died! Post another!

  • I give you props man, your making wanna play Echoes.

  • FUCKING EPIC!!!!

  • of course your first vid on youtube was going to be a song one of the most simplest vids on youtube to do well anyway good choice in song bro

  • Do it with Lower Norfair and Magmoor caverns now

  • sweet! =D

  • Hey is it possible for u to please post a download link for this? If so please do. Thanks!

  • I put a link in the description. I kept the file in the painfully large WAV format so it wouldn't lose any sound quality in a conversion.

  • Sweet

  • The idea works well, dgelit. Consider though that the track is fairly montonous, so you can keep the track shorter (maybe half as long or so). Panmandan has a version of this blend too, and it's fairly tight. You should check it out. He does some very decent mash-ups.

  • I saw panmandan's mash-up, and I was impressed with how he did it.

I kept the length on this blend because unlike panmandan's version, this was just a simple audio layering with modifications to make it work. Torvus bog is pretty ambient/long, and I didn't want to cut any of it out, so the monotony was unavoidable. It gives the mix some uniqueness, I suppose.

  • True. I had similar issues with some of my own mash-ups. You seem to have a good ear to handle those problems.

  • @dgellt I like both, personally. They've both got their distinctive flavor.

  • I just finished listening 2 that track. It was beautiful but on his version when it was around the time for the piano to come in it blended in a little better but regardless I don't know if I should add this song to my play list or his version.
