It was a perfect landing. It's crosswind land with heavy wind. The engine never touch a ground .You seen a smoke from front tires. It's my favorite vid. Bravo 4 a pilot

My buddy was the landing that ac. We work for kal for over 20 years. He is an excellent pilot. Try that in the u.s with 28 knts cross wind. He told me that at d/h decision height he was going to do a miss but instead he went for it. One of the best landing ever! He still works at kal. He flies the 400. He received award recently having the safety record. We used to bar hopping when on our days off. The best of times that will never come back again. Only memories left.

it wasn't a perfect landing, if you look closely you can see sparks coming off the left engine closer to the center, a result of it scraping against the ground. yes, the engine was "used as a wheel"

Landing in crosswinds at certain airports is common.  Good pilot. Nothing amazing really. No engine ever touched the ground.

I see no sparks. I do see jetblast hitting the runway. Watch the shadow of the wing. If either left engine was touching the ground you would not be able to see the runway between the engine and the shadow. The poof you're seeing is all jetblast.
