The Doors could never be the same without Jim, but when I saw their concert at Lisbon with Astbury I felt Jim's magic a Astbury performance... you could say that's marketing from this project, but if it is, it works!... New vocalist isn't Jim, and he isn't Astbury...
i would prefer to have no doors than have an imitation of that original great band astbury is good but he simply is not as good as jim. basicly i agree with you cr65 but on a positive note nice solo robby
axl is a dipshit.when he walked out of his trailer in holland to go on stage he had 5 fake axl's with him to reduce the risk of attack.what a dipshit.
Nobody wants to replace Jim. Please listen to Ian, Ray and Robby better before you judge somebody. Ian knows that he´s not Jim Morrison, Ray and Robby only wanted to bring to life their music with Ian´s help. He was the best choice for them. Jim was great personality, Ian is great personality in his own way. People, don´t be so egoistic with your love for Jim. I like them both because I have found something unique in each of them, and I learned to listen to people, not only judge everybody.
Robby Krieger's into Spanish Caravan is excellent but Ian Astbury not now and not ever will ever hold a candle to Jim Morrison. He sounds completely off he should go back and sing for his band The Cult. I believe that Jim is irreplaceable and no one no matter how good they sing will come near to Jim's gifted talent and charisma.
If anyone has the Particle w/special guest Robbi, please post .....like time travel to the Whiskey back in the 60's.

Ian is amazing. He does a great job by reminding of replacing Jim Morrison for a three hour show.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
the only replacement for Jim these days is someone who embodies him in spirit and not voice; and that is Axl Fk'n Rose.

Apparently you've never heard The Cult's album "Love". It's one thing to be a Jim fan or even fanatic, it's another to be blinded by him.
