i have a situation where there is a column of dates and along side them they are values for % for amounts on each day. now i can make it so i get back the MAX value of the % amounts but how do i get it so i get MAX % in the column and the corresponding date ????
the MAX function is easy just pick a data raneg but linking the MAX value to the cell alongside it has me stumped
Thank you so much, Ive been trying to figure this out for ages.... This formula is great, it definatley needs more people knowing about it. Thank again xxx
For 200 cells, you would simply need to drag cell C down and it would copy the formula. It's not useless, ssstto, it's amazing. I'm very grateful to have found this! Thanks for posting, Demo Trainer!
How can you do the opposite? I copied data from word but the entire data is in 1 cell. Is there a way to place them in multiple cells without cutting and pasting the entire data seperately?

You may use the "Text to Coloumn" option in the Data menu.
