I got this for my 2010 prius. It doesn't work well with the iPhone!!! When you plug it in it says accessory not made to work with the iPhone. Everytime you scroll it starts playing the song at the top of the list. Half the time it won't play at all! Toyota has an iPhone application but it doesn't support the iPhone in their cars!!!
The accessory error may be due to the cable you're using. The scrolling problem is the way Toyota programmed it...it happens even with the iPod and is one of several reasons that the interface is completely unacceptable.
Do you know the part number for this iPod/USB interface? I have an Avensis here in Norway and my interface sucks. Can only pick playlist and album. And it doesn't appear as USB, just CDCH, cdchanger...
Audio Come threw the usb ? or the car saves it ? ? ?
