My mother in law ( from Spennymoor) would have loved him ....so funny ...very homely people .....loved it up there meeting all my wife's family ...G.H. from North Wales
I know Bobby was from wear side and I'm a Geordie. But I'm old enough to remember that he was loved all over the north east. Just wish I was old enough to have been able to see him live in the clubs where he was welcomed so much. Legend. Rest in peace.
Thanks for upping this rare Bobby clip Cheeseford.Priceless stuff.I'm not ol enough to have seen Bob meself but me Ma n Da saw him at Ushaw Moor Club in the 70's and they say they felt ill the next day from laughing so much.
And good auld Roy Hudd for his many programs like this documenting the music hall days, which was evidently his chief passion.
Bobby Thompson Made people laugh at times that were not meant to be laughed at he turned things around to make them fun he put a smile back on peoples faces
my grandad was good friends with him and i have many photographs of them together as they both grew up in my village together, he was one of the funniest guys i know from this region.
my dad isnt a happy fellow at all but he went to see Bobby at Percy Main Club and he enjoyed so he says.ive seen only one full video of the little waster and i want lots more.
my granda used to run sacriston workmens club and he met him and said he was just a gentleman
