ryanc519 there has actually there have been at LEAST 2 systems that had problems that you just don't hear about.

1) PS2 had Laser Eye problems.

2) PS3 had overheating issues early on but you don't hear about them because of good customer support.

dude..another xbox supremecist. Name ONE console ever released by any company that had similar technical problems as the xbox exclusive ring of red. Let's face it.The architecture of the machine was badly designed, not to mention the 50db fan noise that it makes when running. The reason why it has got more sales than the ps3 was due to mass media propaganda. "Oh, everyone owns an xbox and therefore you should have one" When gaming has to come down to politics like that...it aint fun anymore.

I believe you have some valid points, but you should be open to the idea that your comment was extreme. Worse than the CDi (the bastard child of a deal gone wrong between nintendo and phillips), Sega 32x/CD (launched at the end of the genesis' cycle with only 6 months of support), the Virtual Boy (a console which only lasted a few months, due to a SLEW of problems), the Jaguar (which claimed 64-bit graphics in the SNES era yet couldn't out-perform the polygon count on Star Fox)? Honestly?

All the consoles that you mentioned might not have lived up to the hyped due to lack of third party support or lack of popularity. However, none consoles have had problems with malfunctioning before due to horrible design.

Ring of red, rechargeable batteries that last for one month, overheat problem, disc get scratched, 50db fan noise...come on man, have some respect for the consumers' hard-earned money.

Funny, I have had a 360 for nearly a year, no red rings, none of these mysterious rechargable battery issues you seem to enjoy bringing up. The 360 sold more than the PS3 for multiple reasons at the time: Live, and the drastic difference in price.

I have a 360, elite version, redneck. PSN kills xboxlive in many ways, plus its free. The drastic difference in price is due to the fact that xbox is a far inferior machine in terms of specification. The ps3 utilizes the CELL processor, which is ran accompanied with 8 subprocessors. On the other hand xbox uses a regular intel processor that you could probably purchased at fry's. Go to Japan or anywhere in asia and ask consumers why they prefer any consoles over the xbox, u superifical kid

The funniest part of this is I'm not even arguing that the 360 is an inferior machine, but you assume I am because you're apparently just as guilty of being a Sony fanboy as the people you're bashing are of being MS fanboys. Kudos, boyo.

Also, while I love a lot of games that come from Japan over here to the States, I don't live there and thus I don't give two shits what their consumers think of the XBox 360. Also, I pointed out Live because it's a much older, more established community.

I am not too concerned about whether people choose over xbox or not. What I care about is the fact. People should find out the facts before bashing on a particular product or person.

Understandable. I'm happy with my 360, and I'm sure I'll be happy with the PS3 as well, which I plan on getting in the next month or so.  (Tired of not having a Blu-Ray player, and tehre's some games I'd like to play on the platform as well.)

First of all, when you write in English, you should use comma to distinguish between an end of a sentence and the beginning of another. That is how you write concisely and avoid having run-on sentences.

I think you allowed your sub-conscience dictated how you think when you said the xbox 360 had superiority over the ps3. Most of the products designed and built in the states had superior qualities. Not anymore, that was 20 something years ago.

Now you see things made in the states having sub-par qualities, and sometimes even are detrimental to human beings and post safety concerns. Cars that are badly designed and manufactured, medicines that cause many side-effects, gaming consoles that overheat and malfunctioning.  I am not even going to go into the war happening in Iraq because that is out of the realm of this discussion.

Considering consoles have a life cycle of 7 years, or in the case of next gen consoles, 9 years, the future of xbox360 is in an emergent situation in which developers have already used up ALL of its potential. As for the case of ps3, the potential discovered as of now is just a tip of an iceberg. You will eventually see more and more games exclusive to the ps3 in the next year years. (FF13, Heavy Rain, Hydrophobia, etc)

Let's get real here. The reason why xbox360 are having so many add-on external devices is that the design of the machine is indeed not very well-thought. The broadband adaptor being external, the useless hd DVD drive, the terribly designed CD tray. All these elements exhibit carelessness of the designer. The only aspect that I have to appreciate is the interface that they designed.

I for one would certainly like to see Atlus bring more to XBLA. Seems like a brilliant and highly logical extension of their market.

I also would like more creative (not-just-typical-puzzler) titles like PopCap puts out... I could see Atlus following that sort of suit.

And Imagine! A SMT XBLA game... that would be neat.
