  • Fuck You CWA along with all your Zombies

  • Typical union thug. Others are willing to undercut you and work harder for less. You couldn't even last out your own strike. I hope VZ abrogates your contract and outsources your jobs

  • Hang in there guys!!!! I wish every job had unionized workers so they'd get what was fair instead of whatever the corporate fat cats felt like giving them. Fight for what's rightfully yours!!!

  • Google the following, it will open your eyes.

Google, Internal E-Mail Reveals Striking Union’s Tactics Against Verizon

  • hey want a job, here is your pay, here is your retirement, ok, give me that back , i only made 30 million this year, and our company only made 16 billion, we need to make this like sheets and hire people and then fire them at will and just move there jobs to india and tell the workers sorry, then we will turn the poor people against themselves and have them help us lie and steal billions, that we are not taxed on, let the poor pay that tax

  • jobs obsolete huh, you must have that new cell phone that is wireless forever, seems to me the ride the backbone of our network after the go to the nearest cell tower, oh no , you would know, you like having billionares run all over you

  • you dont think they call vandalism because they cant do the jobs that us 45,000 did every day? ya, believe the billionares so they can tax you more you sheep, follow the flock

  • stop destroying stub stations and equiptment and hurtting the public, you will you never have my support or the general pblic! you make it so people can use medical equiptment or call 911, you are all lazy bastards, go back to work1

  • GOD BLESS all the LOYAL OLD TIMERS who were PROMISED their pension . God Bless you all. What a shitty thing Verizon is doing. And anyone who thinks OTHERWISE..........may your children be without, may your old age never see a good meal on your table, and may the SAME bad luck happen to your family too! American you call yourself? AMERICANS STAND TOGETHER FOR THE BETTERMENT OF EACH OTHER AND ALL OF OUR FAMILIES!

  • GOD BLESS all the LOYAL OLD TIMERS who were PROMISED their pension . God Bless you all. What a shitty thing Verizon is doing. American you call yourself? AMERICANS STAND TOGETHER FOR THE BETTERMENT OF EACH OTHER AND ALL OF OUR FAMILIES! God Bless you guys and God Bless your Unions!

  • if you dont want to see LOYAL OLD TIME workers from Verizon get their retirement pay.........then you're a SICK, jelous and pathetic man.......who needs to GET A JOB - A LIFE- AND GET OFF THE WELFARE SYSTEM. YOU JACKASS. Save your Jelous remarks for YOUR weirdo family. But the AMERICAN FAMILY stands together for fairness for all ! You jackass.

  • For all you bone heads out there saying there are 45,000 job openings, wake the fuck up. Verizon wants to send as many of those jobs as possible overseas so when you call and you can't understand the guy on the other end because English is a second language he can hardly speak it and you get frustrated and hang up.

Oh and by the way if that does happen your bill will still go up because the corporate Pigs at Verizon will be paying them squat and lining their pockets with your hard earned cash

  • Damn its sad 45000 other people would love to have a job right now that are jobless and these guys cant take benefits that the entire company of Verizon has that are not under the union.

  • hey, I heard you are not going to receive any vacation time paid after the 6th. to bad, how are you going to pay for cobra starting on 9/1/2011?

  • "Verizon fat pigs?" Look at the waistlines of these overpaid union slobs!

  • @FrankeeFraud - Hey- that was the most stupidist remark posted here. My advice? Go play on Facebook or something. This forem is not for your calibar of intelligence.

  • @Lemonanpie "This FOREM is not for your CALIBAR of intellegence?" Did you mean to say, "FORUM" and "CALIBER," Einstein? And I'm supposed to trust morons like you to fix telephone wires? I wouldn't trust you to make change for a dollar! I always felt that unions are for overpaid, overweight, lazy, drunken, workplace thieves- thanks for proving me right.

  • Frankie- your comment made me laugh. Not because of what you said, but because your comment HAS to be coming from a 14 year old. Why dont you go play on Facebook or something. This forum is for adults.

  • fuck the union... For the 9.91% unemployed american workers, theres about 45,000 openings in verizon. Job training not necessary since even a monkey can do it like these fuckers.

  • @h34t3r No training necessary huh? You are such a fucking idiot. We have managers that cant even do the job, search for SCAB videos u fucking moron. Im not taking a $20,000 / year pay cut, go blow yourself.

  • @h34t3r 20 people walked in with me to take the VZ entrance exam only 2 of us passed .Your probably one of them and obviously still bitter . UNION POWER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You are the Union's lackey. The only pockets being enriched are the Union Bosses you take your orders from, slave. Go pick up your $120/wk slave wage suckers.

  • i bet the union reps are still driving around in their nice cars and have no problem paying their bills with all the union dues they have collected over the years. Union workers are brainwashed by their "leaders". A bunch of sheep following your shepherd right over the cliff.

  • Guess who dont get a paycheck this week? haha! Idiots! Go get a job!

  • @metalupurassssss You first you lazy bloodsucker.

  • The only fat pigs I see are you lazy slobs.

  • Loooooo-serrrrrr!

    Loooooo-serrrrrr!

I support scabs. I hope the strike goes on a long long time so the scabs learn their jobs better than you idiots ever did.

    GO SCABS!! YOU ROCK!!

  • Super unionbuster your a bitch

  • Keep up the fight I walked a bell IBEW strike line with my Father in the late 60s.He was a delagate then and everything they fought for is going to be gone if the have there way. Ma Bell go to HELL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wait till obumercare kicks in, oh wait, unions are in bed with obumer, you'll be just fine.

  • All this brothers and sisters crap makes want to puke. I know from experience, you assholes will eat your young. The only time you're brothers and sisters is when you strike. Other than that, it's harrah for me and the hell with you. I see it everyday.

  • @AVGuy2981 They promised it in you OLD contract. Now that you no longer have a contract they don't owe you crap. Thats your problem in the Union....you think you are OWED/ENTITLED a job. Multi-Media Tech..... ha! What a joke....glorified customer service rep. You all act like if it weren't for you the network wouldn't operate. You install FiOS... give me a break. The network is much bigger than FiOS! You guys can't do your jobs right.....thats why they have given it back to the NOC's in Cary!!!!

  • So if you hate your pay, working conditions, benefits, and whatever you are whining a bout why not find another job? Just a question. In the real world, job security is earned, not given. Do your job well and show up for work on time and you will have job security. Your union is pricing itself out of the labor market, and forcing the outsourcing of your positions. I hope the scabs starve you out. Then you can go out and look for another job. You have 2 years to find one! (unemployment)

  • SOLIDARITY from North Carolina.

You're an inspiration to working people everywhere.

  • AMERICAN, UNION AND FUCKING PROUD OF IT!

  • your union guys really need to look at the bog picture. You pay nothing and think thats your right? come on, be realistic, 100 dollars a month is to much to pay? You really need to think about September 1st when you will no longer have health insurance. How are you going to take you kids to the doctor for their school check ups? Silly , Silly , Silly

  • @MrIbew2011 Please learn to spell and get your facts correct before you speak to the adults!

  • @shbnggrth Woops, I spelled a word or two wrong big deal. What I am trying to tell you is that what are you going to do in 2 more weeks? The upper union is getting paid, are they not? Why dont you ask them to share the money that they are getting paid with you. I have heard in New Jersey they do not have a strike fund. Or am I wring again and they do have one, what they get 5 dollars a week? That is really going to help you out.

  • So there are about 45,000 Verizon workers on strike and millions of Americans unemployed.

    I think Verizon wins.

  • these know-nothing assholes think a cell phone call magically flies through the air to another cell phone...they dont know jack shit about ROADMs trunk lines MUXes...none of it...wireless wouldn't be crap without us. These pigs did us a big favor by picking this fight now. We have nothing to lose, its do or die brothers and sisters....Take the fight to them! Be strong!...go after wireless get them on our side. Let's show them how its done!!!! CWA1120

  • Verizons fat pigs can fuck off!! Without CWA i wouldnt have the chance to get my job back. I told the company i had a drinking problem and was an alcoholic, i went to detox and aftercare and continued to do so and got fired for it. Dont give in or give up guys, we have them by the balls and always will as long as we stay united. God Bless everyone, fight the fight!!!!

  • that is so cute the way you babies cry and whine when your contracts end. If you hate your jobs so much then find another one. I am sure there are plenty high paying jobs that require no formal education all over the place in New York State. Take one of those! The landline side of Verizon is losing money. The wireless side is not there to subsidise your lavish contracts. I know how well Verizon pays, and I think you need to realize that verizon is no charity. You're Jerks

  • Get a clue, jack wagon. Verizon wireless would not exist if it we're for the landline T-1 data circuits and DS3 fiber optics that WE are responible. We are responible for maintaining and splicing these phsyical connections to Cell Towers. Verizon landlines, T-1 data copper circuits, and DS3 fiber feeds are our responsibility. Do your homework before running you misiformed suck hole.

  • Mooney!!!! Good friend of mine. CWA forever!!!!!!

  • I'm a non-union Verizon worker. I respect what you're doing, but the country has change from 50 years ago. Everybody pay something out of thier checks for benefits. Why are you so special?

  • if you dont like it you can leave the company and find work elsewhere! trust me...someone is waiting in line for your job!

  • Comment removed

  • @MilkyWayInhabitant - LAZY ...we (union workers) are not asking for anything more, we are asking to not go backwards. Try to learn the fight before you speak negatively. You are right we have a decent job, however THE CORPORATE PIGS are trying to change that. They are trying to make those who currently have an hourly rate go straight commision which can hurt thousands of families, they are trying to make us pay thousands more for medical, and much more..know what the hell you are talking about

  • These union thugs are a joke !!!!!!!!!!!!!! A trained monkey could be a CO or Field Tech and an untrained monkey could be a CSR !!!! Go Verizon get rid of the union and there would be a million people lined up to take their place,.

  • @cwa7148 - at straight commission and no pension, and a whack as 401k and whack as medical coverage - U CAN HAVE IT

  • if they're evil corporate pigs, why do you want to work for them?

  • @MatchesMalone242 are you for real come on use your head

  • @MrJeepin420style are you a corporate piglet? you like your corporate pig mommy, suckling at her corporate teat?

  • @MatchesMalone242 yes i am and no i dont. i would rather be living on a beach but untill i hit the lottery ill have to earn my pay if thats ok with you

  • @MrJeepin420style then what's with all the bitching and demonization of your employer?

  • @MatchesMalone242 now you did see me bitchin about my employer but if you have a job for 20+ years and that company that you work your ass off for tells you that even thou its making $27billion in profitts a year it must shift $20,000 a year back to you and its CEO makes $55,000 a day you would bitch too. if not then i feel for ya and if you cant understand that very simple concept you never will. (these are real numbers not just something i pulled out my ass its a public company look it up)

  • @MrJeepin420style then you should be able to tell me where this 27 billion a year figure comes from. NYTimes "Verizon Profit Falls as Customer Growth Slows" on Oct '10 states "reported a 25 percent drop in profit" and "Net income dipped to $881 million". If they made 881M in one quarter, there is absolutely no way they made 27B in a year.

  • @MatchesMalone242 verizon is an international company yes landline profits fell but look at Fios and wireless remember its one company not three or four and yes look it up as a whole the company made $27billion also wath the stocks over the last five years and you can see even in the down turn of economy verison was and is strong you are not looking at whole pic only a small portion.

  • @MatchesMalone242 in 1998 verizon (bell atlantic) was not even in the top 50 largest entertainment companies now 2011 its number 7 so yes landline subscription has fallen but its been moved over to Fios same company same techs. also if you get dail tone from another company other then verizon it still uses verizon facilities and by law verizon does not take a loss by renting its facilities to other providers. look at the company as a whole and you will see the money

  • @MrJeepin420style I also found LATimes "Verizon quarterly profit hits $4.6 billion", but this is VERIZON WIRELESS which is not what we're talking about. "Annual profit fell 11.9% to $10.2 billion from $11.6 billion in 2009. Revenue for the year fell 1.2% to $106.6 billion." That's still nowhere near this 27B number you came up with. And their profit margin was 9.5%. That's not astronomical by historical measures.

  • @MatchesMalone242 it is what we are talking about its one company and why do profit margins have to be astronomical for me to get the same benifits i have for years it is still profit isn't it. Verizon is one company you ca not invest in Verizon wireless only verizon you can not invest in verizon Fios only verizon please remember if not for landline services there would be no wireless or Fios the "network" was built with and carried by landline untill they took off

  • @MrJeepin420style just because you were getting certain benefits before doesn't mean they were sustainable, not to mention the fluctuations in the value of the dollar and the costs of healthcare and the like. as far as the different business under the 'Verizon' name, they operate in isolation. Not to mention Verizon doesn't wholly own each of them (ie "Verizon owns a controlling 55% interest in Verizon Wireless").

  • @MatchesMalone242 all verizon has to do is show how any benefits are not sustainable.

  • @MatchesMalone242 all verizon has to do is show how any benefits are not sustainable. once again verizon is a strong and profitable business and looks to continue to bad that way remember in the largest recession in the last 60 years it still grew not by much but when other big companies were floundering it was not like i said before its one company and all profits get reported under one symbol

  • @MrJeepin420style "Verizon pointed to the $4 billion it pays annually in healthcare costs, and said the workers must face reality." Those actually negotiating have seen whatever justification there is; they obviously don't agree with it. You're referring to the parent company that owns in whole or part the various businesses that operate under the Verizon name. I doubt the profits are spread around them. This contract dispute isn't with the parent company, it's with the individual business.

  • @MatchesMalone242 once again profits are growing slowly but growing as far as spreading around i cannot speak on but the profits of one built the profits of the others and this is not about just health care if it was it could and would be solved nobody can argue health care has become to hard for any one business or person for that mater to afford there are over 100 proposels on the table at this time and health care is only one. health care is a very small portion that caused this strike

  • unbelievable pleasure?

  • wow

  • @SWEETBBMC Day 1 and Verizon already dropping the ball on customers. Ive been employed by this company for 22 years I would rather Never come back than come back for what these corporate Pigs are trying to take away!! Thanks for the support!

  • I was waiting all day for a tech to come to my home for repairs today...at 5 30 pm I received a call from Verizon stating, they was experiencing a work outage from their workers...well first of all as a union worker myself, AFSCME member... I want to say " FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!! I SALUTE YOU ALL!!!! stay strong brothers and sisters! See you when you win!!!

  • oink oink

  • WE MUST NOT ALLOW VERIZON TO BREAK THE UNION!!! WE MUST NOT ALLOW VERIZON TO HARM WORKING PEOPLE!!! THIS WILL BE A TOUGH FIGHT. HAVE COURAGE MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS. WE WILL WIN!!!!

  • Support the worker of Verizon and the union

  • Can you say...........Lockout? Keep an eye on the employment section of the news papers. Your replacements will be hired.

  • @mv6863692 you have a lot of balls saying that. I have 2 family members that work their butts off and have been loyal to this company they are not rich the only one that makes a lot of money if their big wigs ..Why should they lose everything they have worked for..People loke you make me puke

  • @mv6863692 elite management scum.

  • Perhaps if you actually worked hard enough to EARN the exhorbitant wage.

  • @mv6863692 -- lol u are hilarious , we wish we had wages as you all think. no one makes money but the pigs who are trying to destroy our lively-hood and send us into foreclosure. Maybe if the corporate scum bags took after come other companies and lowered their own wages they would not be trying to take away ours

  • I took this job for it's fair wage and benefit package 23 years ago, and now you want to take it away??? F U Verizon!

  • @TheKennyturtle Then quit!

  • @TheKennyturtle

I signed a contract 20 years ago saying i would be a Verizon tester and get benefits that are worse then yours but now I'm in New York climbing telephone poles. Your lucky you work for the union or else your ass would be fired. I cant wait tell you get fired and Verizon finds 45000 people would would appreciate your job and the benefits.

  • @TheKennyturtle Sounds like you don't like working at Verizon; why don't you just quit, union boy? Whoops! Your jobs were obsolete years ago, so it looks like they'll FIRE your ungrateful asses any day now, so the point is moot. Say hi to all the niggers and spics at the Welfare lines..........

  • Make no mistake, we have enjoyed good wages and benefits and job security solely because of our Union contract, which was negotiated by Union leadership and won through the sacrifices of Union members.

  • @44marilynn Sacrifices=good w ages and benefits and job security. Obviously, math isn't your strongsuit. Of course, you're union , so that comes as no suprise.

  • I was involved in strikes in which I lost 8 weeks pay (1983 and 1989). My older Union sisters and brothers remembered much longer strikes. Through these sacrifices, along with smart Union leaders’ negotiation skills, we built the wage and benefit levels that are still in place today.
