  • AMERICA FTW

  • i see tire spin with all four turnin!!!

  • this thing runs 110psi max boost and 75psi at launch

  • @allmackinnons holy fuck! 110 psi?! fuck me runnin damn!

  • geez whats your 60 ft time

  • Very fast!!! 12valve??

  • i think its cool adds suspense

  • Gotta love the 20-second spool time it takes for the turbos...very practical. Not. Sounds like a jet waiting to take off.

  • Do you know anything about diesels? It takes a diesel longer to build boost than it does a gasser you idiot.

  • Yes I do understand that. Which is why they're not practical, as I said. Take the Skoal outta your lower lip brah, it's clouding your brain.

    20-sec spool up = useless

  • No, a diesel engine is very practical. A diesel may take a bit longer to build boost, but it can make A LOT more boost than a gasser (typical boost for a gasser is about 8-10 psi, for a diesel one turbo can make upwards of 45psi) so a diesel can make more HP and torque. And since a diesel engine doesn't need back pressure to run, the turbo can hold the boost for much longer than a gasser can. All around a diesel engine is way more practical than a gas engine, and not just for boost reasons.

  • @farmerallis This thing robably runs 80 psi or more of boost! My stock 03 powerstroke can hit 35-40 psi of boost!

  • @lopinslow17

yeah a lot of aftermarket turbos can hit upwards of 70 psi of boots. i know of a twin turbo Duramax that builds 75 or 80 psi of boost out of each turbo!

  • @farmerallis While I am not taking sides, i like anything that is deserving of credit, you seem to just spew crap onto youtube. You understand the concept of turbocharging? If so you might know that heat is a large factor in exhaust housing spool. Diesels, are cold in comparison to a 'gasser'. If you have ever seen a drag meet you would see what 'gassers' can spool. Top fuels anyone? And lastly, practicality is in the eye of the beholder, not you.

  • @mrkitchy88 I understand turbo charging--but I certainly do not know all. Could you explain how a diesel is "cold is comparison to a gasser"? Because diesel burns way hotter than gasoline, and diesel EGTs can get up in the 700-1000 degree range.

  • @farmerallis It is a well known fact that a petrol piston engine burns a hotter EGT than a diesel piston engine, and rotaries are much hotter again. This is how a little rotary 1.3L can spool T51R garrets as quick as an LS1 can. Your looking at a 200+ degrees hotter in a case of petrol vs diesel. Again, i'm not for either side, I like them all. I just don't tolerate morons.

  • @comlax22 20 second spool while riding the brakes and trying to launch clean. If you and your honda were to pull up next to it at a redlight, the truck would easily build enough boost to pass you like you were sitting still while hazing all 4 drag slicks. This engine builds 5x's more power that your v-tec, and the only reason it takes so long to spool here is to make a good launch.

  • @caniwitech So it's not practical to launch normally b/c it takes half a day to build boost, I understand what you're saying. I respect the diesel power but it seems pretty silly in a pickup truck. I don't drive hondas or vtecs, thanks for caring, god bless!

  • @comlax22 It seems silly in a pickup truck? You go ahead and find a car that can hanlde 1300hp on it's stock axles, t-case, and frame, and the try packaging a 1400 lb 4ftx4ftx3ft engine in the front. Then try to package the radiator in front. There is nothing silly about a 5000 lb 4x4 truck that runs the 1/4 in 10 secs, and could still get 20 mpg. That's 2.5 seconds faster than a Viper! If you don;t like it, don;t watch it.

  • @caniwitech Why so hostile & angry?

  • @comlax22 You just decided to badmouth diesel trucks, and then reduce us to rednecks with your little scoal remark.

  • @caniwitech I never said anything about rednecks. You seem really angry and defensive, do you need help? The Skoal remark was a generalization about people who dip snuff and drive trucks...nothing to do with rednecks. You may be interested to know I drive a truck and am from the south. Chill brother you'll give yourself a nosebleed. Peace.

  • @comlax22 Well, thank you Dr. Phil.

  • @caniwitech No problem, no sense in giving yourself a stroke over YouTube comments.

  • @caniwitech "There is nothing silly about a 5000 lb 4x4 truck that runs the 1/4 in 10 secs, and could still get 20 mpg." That is why i love diesels and cummins for that matter. Got to love that black smoke!

  • i heard international is working with ford and im a big fan of cummins and mopar, and that truck is dodge, its a cummins powered mopar

  • Ya heard international is working with ford?? obviously international has been building ford's powerstrokes for a long time. And just because Cummins signed a contract with dodge to equip they're trucks with motors, doesn't tie them together as the same company. Cummins is very far from being considered mopar. That's like saying I own a chevy mastercraft because ther'es a 350 in my boat.

  • k let me reword it, cummins all the way. and no its not a chevy master craft. but its powered by a chevy

  • truck ram rod

  • not bad for a 6cyl..CUMMINS FOR LIFE!

  • The trucks awesome!!! But the paint job..not so much. I thing flams are tacty, especally when their green! It would like sick in all black, stealth like. Blow black smoke out of a jet black truck would be bad ass!

  • what transfer case does he use? That bitch must be made of solid billit steel. Shit, thats a bad ass truck

  • sweet now it`s time to work on the chassis.

  • NICE

  • u never know what would have happened if the chassis hooked up. u could have gone faster or the motor could have bogged done. (it sounded like the motor bogged until the chassis unloaded) (mopar all the way) mopar or no car =D. I also saw you in diesel power magazine

    I have a

2003 Dodge diesel quad cab 4x4, with 8 ft., with ht turbo, stock trans, super chip, strait flow pipe

  • First of all mopar sucks! It's the cummins that did it!

  • first off mopar rules. cummins is dodge which is MOPAR :O

  • i like dodge and i like mopar. but im sorry to tell you that cummins is not dodge, let alone mopar. cummins is just a diesel engine produced out of colombus, indiana (i live relatively close). they just currently have a deal with dodge to put their engines in the dodge diesels. they also have cummins made for farm equipment, semis, boats, etc. however, i hear ford will be taking over cummins soon (i think 2011) and dodge will be going to caterpillar. sounds interesting... :)

  • i dont care, its still a part of dodge and if ford takes over than screw it, and its not only produced in columbus, i live in warren,mi and theres 2 plants like 15-20 minutes away and dodge is the same as mopar

  • thats not my point. and colombus, indiana is the headquarters. and i realize that dodge is mopar, but cummins is not. show me cummins performance parts in a mopar magazine

  • i DONT care, cummins is working with dodge, i theres no performance parts for cummins in mopar magazines except for some transmission

  • exactly. there you go.. you just proved my point. cummins is not mopar. cummins is cummins. it is a producer of MANY different diesel applications, not just dodge. if cummins was mopar that would be like saying that some international trucks, freightliner trucks, or case IH tractors are mopar.

  • If only he could get the chassis to plant!

  • nice rig man saw you in diesel power keep it up

  • holy fuck thats fucking insane
