Sadly, many fans out there are looking for echiness, action, power ups; not many are in to the drama and studying of personal relationships, questioning our current society and such. This is a very underrated series as it focuses on the portraying of society and its different aspects from different persectives.

Anyhow, as a fan, I gotta say I was rooting for the main character the whole time, since he was the most "unfortunate" person who just keeps getting blamed?

Great series, but i really thought that whole sadistic Ikume, and kozue love life kind of killed the end.... Kozue seriously goes into the history of one of the most annoying characters.

This anime, I've read, is overly philosphical and melodramatic. This only thing I really like about Ryvius is this theme song.

@alHalwima There is no such thing as overly philosophical, it really depends on how much you can accept. True the series gets depressing but that part of the spice in my opinion. Honestly, it is commendable for the studio to be brave enough to turn this into a 26 episode anime that has a theme of "either you love it, or hate it"

@lapas It can be a mind fuck if you try to analyse whats going on every single episode, but the information will come at the later half. Plus you can always focus on the character developments instead of the mysterious Ryvius.

Yea the only detracting bits were the fights. Even me whose a mecha fag was turned off by the fights, I was far more interested in the students.

try argento soma, as infinite rivyus, it was the seccond sunrise famous novels adaptations project, the first rivyuus was based on "the lord of flies" and Argento soma was an adaptation from Frankenstein. Is another masterpiece, but, just like rivyiuus didn't had massive aceptation, so they pulled all his resources on the Gundam franchise, and stuff like scryed or inu yasha. ;)
