wow. and people say andy was a performance artist and not actually funny. This is hilariously funny, because it is made to seem so real. This is like an ep of curb.
"Used merchandise"?...So this meant that Blassie's wife was "used merchandise" too..."Hope she washes her hands"?...What a rude comment...Blassie had the diplomatic skills of Mike Tyson.
I hate to say this, but Blassie comes off as an arrogant prick...That autograph, today, would probably be worth some big bucks on Ebay...This is reality mixed with acting, and the result is entertainment...We're all voyeuristic, to one degree or another..."That's another wone we're going to have to feed on welfare"?...What a prick Blassie was...He smiles with the waitress, rubs her belly, then when she walks off he makes a comment like that...Blassie was like a cartoon character.
i'm not sure that's what andy's goal was. if anything blassie is an interesting, hardassed character of a man. i think andy was legitimately in love with wrestling and its ins and outs, though.
Andy is unbelievable! He is the King of heated arguments. He has that nervousness... that shaky tone seems so real. I always fall for these momenta for the first few minutes. Until I realize the wool over my eyes. I believed the TV therapy interview too. lol
this is so great! so all those girls were not actresses? they were real people in the restaurant? the camera was hidden? if true, this is the greatest movie ever created!! I love Andy Kaufman so much!!
What it makes it great is that no one can quite figure out what's real and what's fake. Clearly some of it's staged, but...Just when you think you have it all figured out, he does something to make you second-guess yourself.

I think so. I'm pretty sure they met during the making of this film. Maybe even on this day?
