I think the lack of new items makes MK7 BETTER. MKW had a lot of new items that were just reskins of other items that aren't as effective. All the items in MK7 are actually practical (my fave being the Super Leaf).

I havn't got the money to buy 3D land but: mk 7 is easy the 2nd best in the franchize! For the first time in a mk game i dan't have any courses that i detest! Amazing feeling! But why are they keeping the blue shell?? You usualy get it when your in 8th or 7th place. if you from that point knock out the leader, all you do is to help the first runner up! And i've had no problems with the online mood. I own all americans! (cus they are all over! XD)

The fire flower isn't completely new since Mario and Luigi were able to use it in Double Dash. On the SM3DL side, i was disappointed with the special worlds, but because of how the people kept saying that they were really challenging and new, so i was expecting NEW levels, but most of them ended up being the original levels with either a 30-second time limit, a mario clone or 30 more enemies

I'd give both games a 5/5 but I agree with what you said on 3D Land. I beat the first 7 worlds in a day, and when I stopped, I could only recall a few of the levels that I had just played. It sounds weird, but I hope you know what I mean. I still loved it. Mario Kart 7 is the best Mario Kart in my opinion. They really worked hard on it and is showed. Nothing lazy at all (Well, there are a lot of clone characters in terms of stats, but I can overlook that because of the vehicle customization.)

@cjszero01 As long as you press down on the D pad for 3D Land the 3D becomes MUCH better. (If you didn't know, the default 3D is so that it will jump out in front of the screen more. If you press down on the D pad it will make the 3D more behind the screen making it much more useful and VERY helpful.)

Why is it that whenever they put an amazing power-up in a 3D Mario game, it's only used less than 5 times? Like in Galaxy 1, the red star is used twice in the entire game. To get some purple coins and to get extra lives in the main hub.

I played both these on my friend's 3DS, and Super Mario 3DLand did not impress me. I got to the 2nd special world, I think, and I had to quit, and they deleted my file. -_-" I played through all of the new courses on Mario Kart 7, didn't get to really play the remake course, however. Some of the new tracks were cool, but I was playing on 50cc, so it wasn't as much fun/frustrating as 150cc or mirror mode. I understand why people love it, as I was tired at the time, and trying to pass the time.

Now Mario Kart 7! I love Mario Kart and holy shit was this the best one of the whole series! I mean they brought back some of the best tracks: Koopa Beach, Kalamari Desert, DK Jungle (N64), and SNES Rainbow Road! And the new tracks: GENIUS! The new DK stage was the best, so was the Wario Shipyard and several other stages amazing. The only thing I wish they changed was a Vanilla Lake stage from the SNES and that Retro Bowser City was lame!

Everything you said about SM3DL was totally true! Ever since New S.M.B. that's all they've been doing. Yah, it's nice to go retro, but I want to see something new, see some new bosses. Remember how N.S.M.B. had like a giant goomba and montey mole for boss? Those were kinda clever, and all they are doing is recycling the same bosses. It was fun and addictive, but Dear Lord, I want something new! Super Mario Galaxy (possibly my all time favorite mario game) was the last ORIGINAL mario game....

As far as Super Mario Land 3D is concerned I've only gotten to world 4 and I stopped playing. It's not bad but the difficulty increases far too slow for my liking. I will beat it eventually it's just not as engaging as I would have hoped for it to be.

Mario Kart 7 is by far the best Mario Kart ever created. I am blown away by the customization and how good the online is in terms of player interaction. It puts the Wii to shame now I'm pumped for the Wii-U Mario Kart. Just imagine!

Cj, If you beat every level in super mario 3D land with both mario and luigi, you can get a extra level from every level that you beat with both of them, which makes the game 3 times longer than just twice as long

3D Land while fun is one of the easiest Mario games created in years, at least the game. The post game I cannot spoil. Also, they once again indirectly add super guide. When will Nintendo learn Super Guide ruins games.

well CJ on the wii when you get the bleu shell there was a big chance that you also got hit by red schells stars and bullet bils. in 7 that chance is way smaller. so 7 is also more fair

I felt that 3D land feels like it should have been released BEFORE Super Mario 64 because it is a step back in so many ways, like how the health is based on what powerup you have instead of getting 8 hits. It just seems that having too many nostalgic pieces makes it seem inferior when you compare it to other games in the series.

I did enjoy Super Mario 3D land, but it did not leave a big impression. It was fun and worth giving a shot with 3D that in my eyes, ad to the platforming, but it felt quite easy and the stages was often really short, pluss the star-coins are not hard at all to get. And yes, I gotta admit: it seems like they are running out of ideas.They might have done this, because its on a handheld, so it would be more: pick up and play- style and ment for short plays.

While i think Mario Kart 7 is an awesome game. one probelm i have with this game is that while its nice they added new characters(With Wiggler being one of my favorite new addition to the mario kart series.) They to reject a few memorable characters like Dry bones, Toadetee, Bowser Jr, And Waluigi. WHY DID THEY REJECT WALUIGI!? HE'S ALWAYS THERE SINCE DOUBLE DASH AND HIS TRACK Waluigi Pinball is in the freakin game. He got replaced by a freaking BEE and Mario with metal Cap on. jezz.

Honestly, for once, I disagree with you. I think Mario 3D Land IS a killer app... provided you're a Mario fan, of course. I know it's not really difficult or different, but what it lacks in originality, it makes up for in really great, fun level designs and a very new feeling since it plays like a 3D platformer but feels like the classic 2D games like with the timer. Of course, everyone's entitled to their own opinions, so whatever. Although I was also disappointed at the lack of new power-ups.

Mario would obviously be Metal Mario, Luigi could be Mr. L or Luigi could get the Poltergust, the Princesses could get their Biker outfits, Wario could wear his WarioWare outfit, Toad, Yoshi and Shy Guy could just have alternate colors, Queen Bee hmm no idea, but she could have something, Lakitu could change to being a green shell Lakitu, and Waluigi? Again, not sure, but Nintendo could think of something.

Ah MK7, which i believe is even better than the DS version, and wii. I only have 1 copy, so my bros and i always fight over who gets the actual game, so we can use our characters. :D It is really addicting, and I agree with everything you said. It sort of weird how you get looped since it never happened to me.

honestly i beat super mario 3d land in about a day got to world 8 in a day to be exact then beat it the next day the special worlds didnt take me much longer and i honestly thought it was to easy maybe that was just me and being really good at the 3d mario games a lot better than i am at the 2d ones but i just found it to easy and was hoping for much more of a chalange but i did have fun while i played plus i love how on one of the levels when you find one of the starcoins zelda music plays.

Ah, so somebody DOES agree with my opinion on these two fun Mario titles, Mario Kart 7 is the BAWS! It's so innovative, so free, so... awesome... and that soundtrack is the best on the 3DS to me... (did anybody have a fangasm when hearing the guitar instrument for the first time?) It's so much fun and I have a blast online... it definitely takes the control in the right direction too... Super Mario 3D Land felt like a direct throwback to Super Mario Bros. 3... and was too easy, but.. it rocked!
