@karlake2 thanks karl.....its a song I really like.....but its a little rough around the edges.....I will eventually get around to rerecording it properly...kev
@irvpav Thanks Irv...I appreciate that... my voice has been compared to many things but the most appropriate comparison was when someone told me it sounded like a cat pissing on a tin roof... I have striven for that level of excellence ever since...Take it easy my friend...Kev
sincerely,I've never heard this song before,and the more I listen to,the more I like it....and you have the "mood"to play it,...vey intense,..bellissimo!!ciao,valerio
yeah he certainly a force to be reckoned with.. I,ve done a couple more chapman covers myself...in fact my first venture was a chapman song not so much a garden...and as far as I,m aware the only version one the tube
thanks for the comments...I stopped playing seriously because of other commitments...I sold lots of guitars that would be considered vintage by now...I suppose I just lost interest but a friend of mine suggested i should give youtube a look and then goaded me into doing a couple of songs...this is the result although I am still trying to learn about recording on computers..but hey its coming...Take care..all the best Kev
yeah rainmaker was the album I went out and bought when I heard this song....the not so much a garden more like a maze..that I uploaded was on the same album.....
Nice one Kev ~ I'm going to have to have a look at Mike Chapman's stuff ~ This sound's great ~ And i agree with Jeff, let's see the white's (or as You say, the bloodshot) of your eye's ~ So we can see, as well as hear you putting feeling into your song, Kev ~ Take care ~ Geoff
Mike chapman is definitely worth a look ... he is one of the best acoustic guitarists that I have ever heard..we used to see lots of him years ago ..he used to use the same boozer as we did in hull ..."The polar bear"... and I have played on the same bill as him ...years ago as well except then i was into electric blues guitar.. so never really took to much notice of what he played then..it was a few years later when my mate picked up my guitar and played this song...and that was it for me..
Thanks Jeff...Yes it was on vinyl that I originally bought it...but like a lot of my vinyl it vanished over the years..... and if I move the camera much further back I lose the sound (its only a stills camera in video mode) and my eyes are mostly bloodshot (whiskey drinking doesn,t do the eyes a lot of good (especially the volume I drink.) it hasn,t helped my voice much either over the years....

Just come across this, I only knew MC from the Rainmaker album, but I see he's done a lot more since. Very good, and the sound okay here.
