One element of this movie, and one alone, makes this an excellent film, the presence of actress Aliza Gur, or Alicia I think is what they called her here. She was gorgeous! Otherwise, the setting was obviously not Africa as many non-African animals were present. Mike Henry, though green as an actor, was an excellent Tarzan. He really looked the part, though when he ran, he looked ike he was carrying a football and was watching for people to knock out of his way.

This film is good if you like to see Tarzan wet a lot ;-) The hanging upside down roped scene is also one of my absolute favourites from any Tarzan film Tarzan always has to win but it's good to see him take a good beating ;-)

I have seen most all Tarzan films, silent and sound (and have copies of most), with respect, I disagree that this is the weakest, have you seen Glenn Moris in Tarzan's Revenge, Denny Miller Tarzan the ape man, and that some what Tarzan film the weakest ever Graystoke? I really enjoy your clips.

To be fair, I said "one of the" weakest. I agree that the Denny Miller film was terrible ... it was probably the worst I've ever seen. I have not seen the Glenn Morris film, Tarzan's Revenge.

@ShakinJonny Edgar Rice Burroughs wanted Tarzan to be a role model for kids, in the 1920's ERB formed a Tarzan club for kids, I find it sad that a hero like Tarzan has gone from films, and been replaced by sex/voilence crazed anti heros/monsters, but I respect your choice of films, I would have just like to seen a actor more fitting the role, when one see's Henry throw that spear, that was the hero ERB wrote of the bronze giant of the jungle.
