  • it's a Ford Engine. Ford even put them in some mazda's. Look at the timeing chain tensioner, that's a ford design. Sure 90% of you who making false claims never even open up a engine in your life :P. Half of the engine's you guys blerting out dont even use chains but belts.

  • @CoolbreezeX82X its a early 80's toyota, i can tell only by the valve-cover

  • thats most def a twin cam

  • best 3D maker i like this animation TQ uploader

  • its a mark 2 vw engine

  • this is not a twin cam, nor is it an toyota engine, its actually an FORD engine

  • @Kimflash If this isn't twin cam then what are the 2 things being attached at 0:56

  • Pretty sure that is a Toyota 2azfe engine.

  • yeah like a sr20de or even the ka24de

  • nah, seems more like a Ford engine

  • sr20de?

  • @decobyrne106 Looks nothing like an SR20DE

  • awsome Goodwork, enjoy!

  • awsome Goodwork, enjoy!

  • I'm still learning about engines, what is the part at 2:31?

  • @InfiniteCemetary Looks like a water pump.

  • @InfiniteCemetary

    waterpump?!

  • @InfiniteCemetary it might be the water pump

  • actually idiot... it is

  • This is a motor Ford duratec HE no is a twim cam idiot!!

  • PERFETTO.

  • PERFETTO

  • No main bearings!?

  • @chris12123212

what the hell do you need those for? It's only an engine

  • @darkspell117 main bearings are the bearings that the crank spins on

  • Cool

  • very cool animation

  • This is not a Twin Cam!!!

  • @urbanprankcallers you know how I know it's a twin cam? cause at 0:57 it bolted on 2 cams!

  • very cool....awesome...

it's very easy to understand i it work with this :)

  • So what does twin cam actually mean?

  • @MrMigs08

Twin cam means that there are 2 camshafts...also known as DOHC or Double OverHead Cam

  • @PolishGuySimonTV Ahh right, im quite new to engines, but does this result in faster valve response? or is it just the two cams can be split among the values or what, im not to sure but i am quite interested.

    Cheers

    Migs.

  • @MrMigs08

DOHC - High efficiency, possible to install multiple valves per cylinder and adopt variable timing.

most of the engines now are DOHC...the Twin Cam its just a fancy name... for some reason people associate Twin Cam with sport cars...but most of the cars on the road right now are DOHC(Twin Camshafts)

  • @PolishGuySimonTV Ahhh thank you very much man :D, really appreciate it.

  • @MrMigs08 one camshaft can acutate intake valves and another one can actuate outlet valves. essentially the 2 camshafts are dedicated to 1 job each, one inlet one outlet.

  • this is a 16v its a 4cylinder

  • to all you geniuses, this is a Mazda L-engine (2.0L) "MZR" which Ford also uses as their global "Duratec" engine.

The animation was made by one of Ford's offices in Europe... the video is cut off at the end where the "Duratec" engine cover goes on.

  • @youngbleeb

yes i agree its a Duratec...but i think its 1.8L...ford mondeo has it i think

  • @youngbleeb I tought it was the MZR 2.0 until I saw the oil filter. The 2.0 are using a spin-on oil filter and the 2.3l uses a cartridge. This is a 2.3l. I had a 2004 Mazda6 with this engine and it was the worst thing I ever had. The plastic cover of the oil filter cracked and oil leaked while I was driving. Now I own a 2010 Mazda3 with the 2.0 and it is 100 times more reliable.

  • @Xetapoel Good call re: filter. The cartridge style is a FORD OEM part (thus the shittiness). TO gain rights to cast the Mazda MZR engines for their own cars, FORD supplied Mazda with some OEM parts to benefit Mazda, such as sparkplugs, throttle body, cartridge oil filter assy, dipstick and some other knick knacks which Ford paid for. This is why those parts say FoMoCo on them, even on Mazdas build in Japan. Ford did NOT design the engine!! Also explains why the access hole is misaligned. Cheers

  • can anyone tell me wats a TWIN CAM 20

  • @utubenz576 twin cam engine with 5 valves per cylinder or 20 valves in total.

  • That is sick! Kudos.

  • very nice!

  • How long did it take to make this?

  • Damn i want that lol

  • Autodesk Invertor hmmm Hard work man ;p nice work

  • nice

  • what do they mean when they they that car has a twin cam engine..what does it look like or the difference with a regular engine

  • usally theres only 1 cam in an engine but twincam is two cam shafts more bhp, when the piston goes up and down the cam shaft is connected to it making it move the drive shaft and power the back wheels

  • a twin cam engine, like eddied96 said has 2 cam shafts, the usual designation is a DOHC - double overhead camshaft, it's a motor with quicker enter and exit of gasoline, that improves the performance, and gives a little more hp to the engine.

  • I dont get why Saturn advertises this as Twin cam. ever time i see that im thinking, "well i fucking hope so or you're ganna have your exhaust and intake switching back and fourth"

  • each camshaft has lobes for both intake and exhaust, you daft cunt

  • im a what? LMAO

  • @HangryBunny the engine if its a SOHC will have a smaller looking head with the oil filler cap on it. a DOHC will be bigger with the oil filler cap on one of the Rocker covers

  • i think its an sr20de im not sure i could be wrong

  • You right, GA16ds, Ga16d, sr20de all are in Nissan's in 90's.

  • It's a good machine.. I have it on my NIssan Sentra..

  • what engine is that designed after?? (or of most likely)

  • I think the ford focus zetec.

  • It's a engine for the AE86, toyota corolla twim cam or for toyotas after made

  • It ain't no 4AGE.

  • it really is not a 4age fools, 4age cam shafts are belt driven not chain driven, oil pump is not run by a chain either. who knows what it is twin cam 16v is extremely common design, but it looks like a mazda motor to me

  • to you and all the fools who agree with you its definately not a 4age, just because it says twin cam 16v, does not mean its an AE86 engine.

  • este video esta muy bueno es sorprendente gracias por subirlo

  • I would love to know what the music is.

  • de verdad q esta muy bueno entendi con este el funcionamiento exacto del arbol de levas

  • deadly

  • Well made, like it!

  • ese motor es una verdadera obra de arte.Excelente.

  • god whoever made that 3D video would have to be a freak of a llad hey that would take ages u have to make each bolt to precise detail.

    ta sin deacair!!

  • Legit bass lines in these beats!

  • Praise the designers..geniuses!

  • Man I love it! I've seen the vtec ones and finally a normal dohc! yay haha. My car has pretty much the same engine.

  • Spark plugs went in at 2:23 right after the fuel injecters.. Look closer.

  • Amazing!! A great job done with a lots of patience...But I think spark plugs were missing...

  • nice
