Perhaps someone got stuck, and then decided to watch a certain part to give them clues or ideas to understand it. I've never had to use a walkthrough to be a game in my lifetime. Get the Bug Catching Net from the sick boy in the village, catch some fairies, put them in a (magic) bottle. There you go, a fairy pops out to revive when you when you get killed.
