WIDE SHOT looking down a rock face bigger than Half Dome -- the sheer side of Mons Veritatis. Banshees circle next to the cliffs EXT. GROTTO/BANSHEE ROOKERY - DAY A waterfall THUNDERS down into the void like a faucet of the gods. Jake looks down the sheer cliff at the world far below -- a view from Olympus.
Did everyone see how far they had to hike to climb a route with 1 pitch of 5.7 one pitch of 5.6 and 6 pitches of 5.3 and 5.2 hiking? Don't recommend this climb to anyone it's a full day of hiking. Once you top out on snake dike you hike 3rd class scramble for like 1000 feet don't do it.
@TheYosemiteBum you don't do this climb for the difficulty of the climb, you do it for the whole experience! Is hiking Mt. Whitney a waste cause its all day and only trails? I say this climb makes for a great day; beautiful hike, great summit, relaxed fun climbing, and a more fun way to top out half dome than in a line on the cables!
looks like they got back to the floor seeing that it took them 15 hours....but i hear u can actually camp on the top of halfdome....but its not a good idea cuz its a bad spot to get hit by lightning.

if i remeber correctly, when i was there i think i was a sign at the bottom of the cables that sayed camping was not allowed.... but im not sure
