Great music-poetry, not so good. Jim is a great singer and the doors awesome but dont idolize him for dying. he's not tragic or cool just dead. Imagine him still making music-awesome. dont mean to ruffle feathers-I like JM also but he's not a hero just a rock star that took it too far. Killing your self with alcohol isnt cool.
I realy hate Morrison's idiot fans who deface the neighboring tombs with especially stupid grafittis like 'Jim lives" when his corpse lies rotting mere feet away. If you like the man's music, fine. Like it. But kindly refrain from defacing the magnificent monuments that surround Morrison's (temporary) grave. Goddammit!!!
Wow, how fabulous is this! I see that Jim Morrison was born the same year I was. I wonder what he would be doing today if he had lived. And what a beautiful place to lie at rest. Thanks for the video!
What day did you visit? Looking at my pictures, we could have been there the same day/ or within a day or two. I have some High Res Pictures of the site & the incredible headstone of "Georges Rodenbach". Wasn't that insane! Anyway, great video, let me know if you want my pictures....
omg I was there in August of 06 too, great vid, thanx!! Yes there was a fence, but for good reason. My best friend was there in 1992, the grave was covered in graffiti and trash, and dozens of people standing, sitting on it smoking weed, and you can just imagine what that looked like with the cramped space around the tomb.
great viveo man...i see that you were there in august '06 is that frigging fence still all the way round jims grave?? it was there when i was last there in 2004..its time it was taken down so we can get close to his headstone again...long live the doors and the lizardking
yeah it's still fenced off. But I don't mind really cos if it wasn't there the grave would probably completely disappear in a few years from people chopping bits off.
oops.i must admit i have afew bits of the grave myself and i suppose your right...there will be very little left if we were still aloud toget near...and anyway...the best time is to wait and hide till the cemetry is closed and go to his grave and take an acid there during the night...what a trip...and a little scarry i must admit :)
Im giving u 5 stars purely on variety of shots and wonderful colour. Edit it properley, and it could be the best Pierre Lachaise film on here. Or at least in the top 5. Thanks.
yeah I was a little lazy editing it.I picked up a bad cold on holiday but I wanted to get this up on youtube as soon as I could. I like the Jim Morrison section but the rest could be a lot better I know.
The only real crowd was around Jom Morrison's grave. I think 75% or more of the visitors were there to see that one grave, I had about 5 people ask me if I knew where it was. Away from that grave it was a lot quieter. And yeah it was a nice place, was a lot more to it than I saw this time...maybe next time.
I loved your intro. Great video.
