  • this is great music.

  • thanks!!

  • I would love to see them in concert someday. Their voices are so pure and angelic, I absolutely love it and this song gives me the "music goosebumps". I was in choir for nine years, and I've heard a lot of very good ones so far in my life, but no matter what, an all boys choir has a sound to it that can never be replicated. I love the sound of their voices and I hope they continue making and singing such beautiful music!

  • Puikus balsai...nuostabu...

  • Beatiful voices, melodie and video. This is music for God. Thanks.

  • Asention to heaven

  • What a wonder to hear all this beauty......

  • Were are they from?

  • A song for Easter bless you all!

  • pls can someone tell me what language this is??

  • @christfollower8902 latin... then english hahaha

  • shall we all pause for a minute to ponder on what Heaven's going to be like? this song and melody is so heavenly... listening to this song definitely draws my mind to Heaven's worship of the Amighty

  • Is this (solo by Ed) from the album Eternal or Angel Voices? Or are they actually the same, but repeated in the album Eternal? :D

  • @BalletCava

Tom does the version on Angel Voices and Eternal, not Ed.

  • @andyrjs Oh, I meant Ed doing the "Salva" parts of the song :) So they're the same?

  • @BalletCava

Yes, same track but sung by Tom, not Ed.

  • para ser honesto es una de las canciones del genero new age ke me enkantaaa... y diiooss asee o mas lindas las voces de esoss pekess n___n

  • I remember I first heard this in a book store when I was really little. I liked it so much I asked for the CD, and I had it for so long and then lost it...

  • My favorite song by them! wait.. never mind I love all their music!!

  • i meant its actually domine deOs

  • its actually "from the dark I flee"

  • I'm a Hindu, and I LOVE them. Their voices are pure magic...

  • So angelic!! My soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my savior, when I listen to this song:-) Like angels in heaven praising our God.

  • The terrible thing is that disbelief will not excuse anyone, nothing like the beauty of the saints singing praise to God. But this will pale in comparison though I do really like this group.

  • Saw them at a church concert held in Ft Worth.I was speechless the entire time from how haunting their voices were, especially getting to hear it in person and not on youtube :0

  • I´m also atheist and this song is one of the best of all time to me.

  • These kids are GREAT!!

  • Beautiful music! So soothing and calming!!!

  • So, who beleives a satanist like this kind of music?

  • @SiriunII of course some would, but um... why are asking a satanist would like this kind of music?

  • @mbneir cause most think of us satanists as nothing but metal heads.

  • @SiriunII *suprised* i knew that since everyone has there own tastes in music genres and your a satanist? (only asking cause you said 'us')

  • @mbneir Yes, I am. More specifically, an Independent Spiritual Satanist. I am not a follower of LaVey.

  • i dont believe in god, but I LOVE this! they sound is so nice! :D Great love it :D

  • luv luv ed!!

  • I think that nature knows how phenomenal the voice of the young male is, which is why it is made even more sweet by only being available for such a short time.

  • So relax about someone not using language in a strict philosophical context and remember the context you are actually in. There no need to try dominate an argument by attempting to devalue another human being . Have some respect and I might be able to talk to you properly. Otherwise, its really not worth it. My only intention was to try to provide a balanced argument in response to the atheistic views expressed. I wonder if you can express yourself without swearing and devaluing someone?

  • I think the one who has shown the most arrogance is the one who states that another cannot use particular words, or deliberately abuses someone in an attempt to gain some sort of intellectual superiority. I have seen a complete lack of tolerance for language expressed outside of a philosophical context (at least as far as one university subject will take you), so much a person can do nothing but simmer and cuss in response to another human being's comments.

  • Attempts to insult another's comments are interesting. If I have ever sworn at anyone, its been because I had nothing else to say or my argument had no basis. Its possible to sit on the fence and make unjustified statements using language that not everyone can comprehend, but in doing so the some person is not going to contribute to the discussion or provide an opinion in either direction by comparing God's existence to a couch that may or may not exist.

  • There is nothing wrong with the word 'pure'. It just irritates some people. Describing music in this way is 'allowed', not to mention completely valid because that is the impression it communicates, unless someone expressly rejects that notion. Most people know what is meant by 'purity' and what can represent it. There absolutely no indication in my comments to suggest that I claim to be a theologian. They are an attempt to represent what I have learned, particularly through faith.

  • @MsMariare Saying purity and innocence is desirable to all humans is not a truth. That is false and you don’t even provide logical evidence. You’re wrong. At the very least – and if you wanted to continue bull shitting – you could use the Socratic paradox of all men desire good; but that has been refuted. So try again and keep struggling with those brain functions…

  • Its obviously possible for someone to not be an atheist and like this piece of music. From the point of view of someone who is not necessarily dependent on philosophical principles, an atheist can like this piece of music because of the qualities expressed. Purity and innocence is desireble to any human being (or most) whether they be theist or non-theist, unless these are rejected. It is still interesting that these qualities are communicated so well in music focused on God.....

  • @MsMariare I can tell you're probably a kid who has taken one high school philosophy elective, or two at the most... You are trying way too hard to overcompensate for your lack of knowledge by using vague, undefined terms to support a circumspect argument. Firstly, you're an idiot. Being an atheist does not mean that one is devoid of philosophical opinions. All things rational and irrational are supported by "philosophical principles." Stop trying to sound intelligent and try using your brain.

  • @MsMariare Stop using the word quality when you are referring to form and substance. If you knew anything about philosophy you would know the difference. Qualities are not expressed in this music. Innocence is not inherent to this type of music nor is purity. Both are vague, unsubstantiated terms that morons who are predisposed to religious ideologies use to support bs arguments.

  • And for all the theists out there... Shut up already and stop pretending to be theologians. CCD class does not count as trinitarian theology nor does prove anything beyond your own stupidity...

  • If you're an atheist and you like this particular piece then you are either retarded or you're not an atheist. Secondly--and on a side note-systematic denial does not make you an atheist just as much as denying the existence of a couch does not mean you are an "a-couch" believer. Nor does it mean couches do not exist... Thirdly, stop using the fucking word pure. Anyone who uses the word "pure" to describe this music has a predisposed opinion. That doesn't mean this has a universal quality...

  • How many ask why this is so beautiful? It is extremely rare to find beauty which captivates a human being from any persuasion. What is so beautiful? Is it the innocence and purity of these voices? What evokes such purity? Is it shaped through the setting and words spoken? It cannot be ignored that it is exceedingly difficult to find such beauty in other musical genre. How can anyone ignore the interesting circumstance that this music is about God?

  • This is an extremely beautiful song, nevermind the lyrics and religion...precious.

  • There is something about this music. Most of it is about singing praises to God. Even when its not, the boys have been singing to God in the last 5 minutes. The music is sublimely beautiful for good reason. I'm sure that's why it stands above the rest.

  • Thank you boys .. you've open my soul tu a deeper breath

  • So is unexplainable explained by the term god? Read your comment. It is utterly meaningless. You do not know if god exists or not. You assume. But, if you are happy in your homade delusion and makebelieve, it must be a good thing for you.

    Answer to Msmariare.

  • @prakkari I'm not expecting you to understand. God created human logic and is not subject to it. His comprehension is greater than ours and can look upon it and understand further. To understand that he exists, there is a need to be open to the possibility that he does. A desire to believe leads to a greater understanding-faith. It can take years to even approach this understanding. I understand that God exists. Why mention whether or not I know? Are you looking at possibilities?

  • another great song sung in latin i prosume its it is quite hard to learn latin and to sing it as your not taught it as a langquage now can you anwser this post please thankyou i await your reply thanks again

  • i love this tipe of songs

  • i prefer Joe's "Salva" ^^

  • it shouldn't matter what religion what you are but that is pretty cool. :)

  • what is the language that they sing besides english?

  • @ellexvici it's latin, old style catholic monks sing them

  • it´s so nice

    i love it

  • FANTASTIC !!! Libera = the best voices in the world !!!

    amazing ...

  • Wonderful!

  • Ангелы поют на Небесах!

  • Seriously, you don't have to believe in God to understand the brilliance and talent of this group. Libera is one of my all-time favorite choirs.

  • @zachk1290:

Thank you. Even though I was raised in the Catholic faith, I am an athiest. However, I have always found this type of music extremely beautiful. I appreciate the art, not to mention all of the hard work that these boys have put into their performances.

  • Seriously, Wad has their bickering got to do with this video posted?? 0o??

  • LOL, indeed... I guess some people just try to sound smarter because they are captivated by a moment... even though they tend to lose track of the true subject, no one really cares about opinions XD...

  • i have no belief in any supreme being, but this was beautifull.

  • haha its so intense how amazingly perfect their voices are when you look at theri faces, they're just kids.

    but they're amazing:)

  • pure

  • WOW...................

  • They sing like angels! Beautiful. ^^

  • I may be the only Atheist in the world who loves choir boy music. Their voices are so beautiful, and I especially love this song.

  • This makes two of us! I'm also an Atheist and I LOVE this!

  • @thetunaman That makes three of us! I'm also an atheist and I just cannot get enough of their voices!

  • Music is music, even then it talks about sometingh in wich we do not believe ...

  • @Containedjoy definitely not the only one!

  • @Containedjoy Nope, you're not the only one :)

  • @Containedjoy

To you Containedjoy and all the other so called Atheist that have listened to Libera boys choir,

Have you stopped to think that the voice of God is talking to yor soul, useing Libera choir, I know pain and when I first heard the children I felt healed.

    Just a thought

  • @Nita3352 Keep your delusions to your self please.

  • @Containedjoy We're two.

  • @Containedjoy

I think believing in God has nothing to do with this, this has to do with believing in beauty.

  • @Containedjoy Well...you are not alone. Beauty is timeless and unbound to any school of thought. Beauty is older and more universal than any religion. Actually religion in it self is the ugliest lie ever to enter the world. The beauty is in the creation of humans and the kindness that is at the core of us all. Without it, we would not be here.

Religion teaches that we are despicable creatures and unworthy of love. May we see the end of that and enter into an era of true enlightenment.

  • @prakkari It is an utter misconception to me that I am unworthy of love and I am not an atheist.I have been given an incredible gift of freedom afforded by my knowledge that God exists. This gift did not come easily in my case but once received gave a certain comprehension that cannot be understood without faith. I do not need to seek my own happiness to be happy and I have a sense of security which is inexhaustible. There are many others who can attest to physically unexplainable life events

  • @Containedjoy

Just to let you know, you are not alone in this. I'm also an atheist but I enjoy this from a Humanist standpoint. I own all their recordings ,best regards.

  • @Containedjoy actually u are not alone my friend

  • @Containedjoy

Your not alone in loving religius music and not beliveing in a religion or in god/s.

    .

  • No doubt there is a God. Only God could make such beautiful things happen!

  • Actually, no. It was the choir. Didn't you see them singing? If so, I don't follow your logic.

  • @JorickHorn god created everything and god makes everything happen, end of story.

  • And how exactly do you know that?

  • @JorickHorn Because I believe:)

  • I know. That's what I was asking. Why do you believe.

  • @JorickHorn because it makes sense to me. if you look at the simplest of organisms in creation they are so complex, and yet they're as simple as it gets. how could someone believe that it was made by random. everything in creation is made to fit together so perfectly, clearly there is a creator. earth is in the exact right place from the sun to not either freeze or burn. :)

  • You can talk to a biologist about your concern about complexity. The second thing about how the universe fits together so perfectly seems to be ill-thought-through (black holes, quasars, earthquakes, structural flaws in all forms of life, tornadoes, and the vaccuum and vastness of space, to name a few less-than-ideal conditions). And yes, earth is at the perfect distance from its star. So are hundreds of trillions of other planets. If life emerges on one planet, that's where it will be discussed

  • @JorickHorn you talk as if you think i'm going to change my mind, when i don't care about what flaws you find on earth, i still believe. but still, in any case can you honestly tell me that you believe life was made randomly?? it took a creator, seriously, look how complex everything is, there are so many things that we cannot yet fully comprehend. what do you believe?

  • No, I don't think I can change your mind. I believe in physical evidence and reasoned logic. You'll find plenty of both in the sciences of evolution and abiogenesis. We understand evolution a lot better than abiogenesis, but we're slowly coming to an understanding of both. We understand how complexity emerges, and it's not random. It's the result of a simple, elegant process of natural and sexual selection of genes.

  • @JorickHorn look man, check out a science book written by someone that believes in god and they'll tell it to you straight, i do not believe that there is more evidence to back up you side. but seriously you haven't shown any prove to back yourself up, you ask me "how can you believe this?" when you haven't even explained how your point can be right.

  • The odds. There is no need to provide evidence for the non-existance of something if the believers cannot provide evidence it exists. I can make up any undetectable thing (Russell's teapot, for example). If I cannot bring forth evidence that such a thing exists, you would not believe that it does, and you would be right not to. You cannot provide evidence for god aside from complexity in nature (which we have explanations for), so by Occam's razor, it is unreasonable for me to accept your claim.

  • Even if there were evidence for a god by means of complexity, there is no evidence it is your God. It can be any of the hundreds of thousands of Gods believed in throughout history, any combination thereof, or even some god that nobody has ever thought of, discovered, or speculated about. I think it is far more academically responsible to assume no god until evidence for such is brought forth.

  • @JorickHorn i'm still sticking with the complexity of creation. anyways clearly this can only end badly so we should just end this.

  • Very well, then.

  • angel voice!!!!!!!!!!!!!<333333333333333

  • Def a fav!

  • Their voices make me cry. They really do sound like angels singing. GOD has blessed these children.

  • hmm theres another video of this where they have a different kid singing the high part... whyd they switch

  • they have 2 switch the boys coz their voices change a little. i think the director likes a young boy singin the high part in this song - the younger the voice, the purer the sound. just his opinion!

  • His balls dropped >_>

  • the best

  • saw them in manila. sat in the very front row. they are flawless! celestial voices like no other! you guys gave me goosebumps! love you all!:)

  • I loved the concert in Cebu.... XD LOVED LIBERA

  • i saw them last tuesday here in Cebu..

  • This gives me chills. Every. Single. Time.

  • I'd prefer Joe singing the Salva part

  • lol yes their voices are really like that. In fact, as Josh often points out, all boys' voices are like that at one point...the Libera boys' voices are just stronger because they have had training and have discovered their talents.

  • 1. who's Josh?

    2. I wish I'd have gone through that training cause I miss singing like that!

  • Josh is the boy to the left singing the solo part with the other two boys, Tom and Sam, at 0.35. If you want to hear some songs with Josh singing solo try Going Home and I am the Day.

  • I miss my soprano, I was about 13 when I lost it, now I am a low Alto. I want to get back up to soprano.

  • Well, Li5468, you know that for the past couple of millenia, there's always been a certain way...

    Just kidding. :)

  • LOL, if you're referring to the inhumane way xD ~~ low Alto has its own merits! Every part counts in making up the choir!

  • they are amaaazzzziiinggg!!!!

  • just got cd " eternal " its awesome.. dvd " angel voices " fantastic..

  • they are in existence for so many years and found them only now....

  • i go to a camp with 200 other kids and adaults and ours is good 8 part harony but this is awsome its like each person has his own notes each word

  • Love it!!

  • omg i didn't know ed done the salva me parts but omg he was marvellous at it

  • Semplicemente sublime.

  • what?

  • Simply sublime! ;D

  • sublime. .al menos sabes que es sublime??

  • I know either what Kant meant with "sublime" and, as I am an italian grammar scholar, what the word "sublime" means (at least in my tongue). I said sublime, and that's exactly what I meant.

  • ja, ja!

    maestro ooohhhh!!

    ja, ja!

  • magnifico, pero no olviden que estos talentosos niños son dirigidos, mis respetos para el compositor.

  • ahhh the ending reminded me a scene of Farinelli - the Lascia ch'io Pianga...gotta have hell lot of efforts to make that voice

  • ahehe i <3 how creepy it is....absolutely stunning !

  • Is this the version from their Angel Voices album? I thought Tom Cully was listed as the soloist? But here it looks like Ed.

  • i guess that's because Tom sings the 'main' solo starting at 0:20. Ed just does the high parts.

  • Tom was high part at Angel Voices album.

    It was diferent.

  • Beautiful.

  • Beautiful. Thank you.

  • !!TUNE!!

  • These kids are just awesome.

  • extraordinarias voces...

  • absolutely beautiful!!

  • hermoso
