  • cool vid keep it up

  • I have no idea how you play it so fast. When I played it around the fire at Jesus camp, I played at about three-fourths of the speed you do and my hand was about to fall off by the second minute.

  • Comedians eh

    Laughter can be good medicine

  • I don't know a thing about playing the guitar, but that opening joke was worth the watch. Awesome.

  • I will definitely be playing this at the book fire at next summers Jesus camp.

  • do you do any electric stuff? or do you just prefer acoustic?

  • He's released a few electric songs (e.g., "Defenders of Marriage", "Peacenick", "Hidden Agenda"), but he mostly plays acoustic.

  • Great song and howto. What about the rest of the song where you sing "Jerry Falwell's god, Jerry Falwell's god, Huh"?

  • it's B7, D7 THEN E7

B7 is 2nd fret on the A string, 1st fret on the D string, 2nd fret on G string and 2nd fret on B string.

Then just move up to the 5th and 7th frets for the D7 and E7.

    I think that's right but I'm not 100% :D

  • I have always LOVED the song and now... well, ROY you just hit it right outta the park with this one. So much to love in this commentary. But Falwell in heaven? Y'think? Don't you think there is a "Special" place for him, somewhere ELSE??

  • "he had a tinky winky" lol

  • You are INCREDIBLE! I love you, man! You're hilarious, intelligent, talented, and socially/spiritually irreverent (at least from what I've seen so far). Keep 'em coming - awesome.

  • falwell, that big fat fuck! he was funny though

  • haha, cool song, cool vid, cheers

  • Third finger to the ninth fret! RESPECT! Frigging Hilarious!

  • Thanks for the lesson !!!

  • so maybe you could perform it over the summer, around the book fire at jesus camp

  • hey roy who said falwell went to heaven? that mofo fell so hard he split hell wide open............

  • You are so funny! Too bad it's because what you say is true. Keep up the excellent work!

  • Roy, have you given any thought to releasing a DVD/CD of your gig at the skeptics' conference? These are really fine performances, and it would be great to have them all in one hunk.

  • I agree

  • I love this song. Yeah, very definitely P-Funk. The first time I heard it, it reminded me of "Freak Out" by Chic, and I thought it wickedly appropriate and droll to use a lick like that on a guy like Falwell.

  • Hahahahahahah, Mr. Zimmerman, you are the shit.

  • ...and I'm glad he's dead...

ok I'm no American (Croatia) and I read something about Jerry Falwell, I know he said some BS that had probably corupted many peoples minds and i totaly agree with the fact that he will stand trial in heaven (if there is one) for all the things he said and he had done...But still it's a man we're talking about.

PS: I'm no christian but I am human

  • PLEAS MISTER ZIMMERMAN COULD YOU PLEAS POST A VIDEO OF HOW TO PLAY Dick Cheney I BEG YOU

  • I was expecting a guitar lesson, and I got political and religious subversion, from a commie pinko fag loving atheist just like me. :)

Keep up the good work, man.

  • Enjoy these play-along videos, Roy. Also nice to see you wearing different clothes.

  • Would anyone be able to tab this or Creation Science 101 for me? I find it easier to learn a song with tabs.

  • "Ghostly cloud of dark matter...", I love it! :) You are truly inspired, Roy. :)

  • "...book fire at Jesus camp." Would be really funny if it weren't so tragically true. We're witnessing the raising of another generation of ignorant and superstitious brainwashed.

  • Holy smokes, I don't live in the US so was only aware of Pat Robertson, although I knew there were others like him out there. I only learnt about Falwell's existence with all this hype about his death, and of course Roy's brilliant song! Now I don't know which of these 2 fanatics was worse! Anyway Roy I love your witty and intelligent lyrics, which match your musicianship. Thanks for sharing this and not going ironically commercial-only.

  • I'm in Oz; I heard about this fucker cos he was an atheist's nightmare. There are others than Pat but Gerry and Pat were the leaders of the Hate Squad.

  • Damn I forgot Fred Phelps - but he's really in a different zone; I think he's the only one who hates dead American soldiers.

If I've forgotten others please list.

  • Oh yeah, I know that lunatic too. Michael Moore played a joke on him, bringing a whole bunch of gay people to be obscenely sexually explicit in front of him. I think it's on YouTube too. I couldn't stop laughing. The first one to get my blood boiling because of his hipocrisy was Jimmy Swaggart though, followed of course by Ted Haggard.

  • They're all batshit crazy and fanaticism is a trend thats going to die out pretty soon.

  • Haha ghostly ring of dark matter ... perfect.

  • God is punishing us for accepting homosexuals, abortionists, the ACLU, and the People for the American Way. But someone like Jerry Fallwell dies it's not divine retribution, he's being rewarded for a lifetime of hate by being allowed through heavens gates.

  • Yeah, right. LOL

If that's the type of fucker who's allowed into heaven, include me out.

    I'm so glad it's just a delusion.

  • Roy, I wish you'd put up a similar video of how to play "My Conservative Girlfriend". Can't understand why that video was removed, but that is a great song. Love the way your voice lilts in the Chorus of that song.

  • Falwell's gone, but another fundie will rear his ugly head to take Falwell's place. Falwell isn't about one guy but a christianist political and education system. Now, when that motherf-in ahole Rev. Phelps dies, we can all dance on his hateful grave as he did to so many others.

  • I'd like to see you do a song about Ann Coulter.

  • He did. Click on his name for it.

  • wasnt 'my conservative girlfriend' coulterish? i should probably check it out before pressing post comment, but i probably wont. she needs to get raped.

  • Aw man, you took down another one of your songs! I know your reason for that, but I still wish you'd leave them up. Your fans became your fans because of those songs. They wouldn't detract from your new work.

  • The last line made this video. Great job, Roy. Your humor is biting, and your music is fantastic. Great job!

  • I like this video.

  • Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

I love the song, and your commentary here in this video is awesome.

  • Absolutely perfect, Roy. What else can I say? :-)

  • You are deffinitely one of my favorite people on this here medium! Thanks for being! -Dennis

  • another phenominal video Roy keep 'em comin' please

and suck it up buttercups he's just sayin things no one else has the balls to say. peace kids

  • You were disrespectful of a disrespectful man in the interest of entertainment. Does that make you better? Or does that make you the same?

  • Neither. It makes him a satirist who isn't afraid of stepping on overly-sensitive toes.

  • I think Roy feels fine about this video. He should. Fallwell deserves the same truth-telling as anyone if they do awful things when they are alive. Roy just repeated a bunch of facts. Fallwell didn't like facts, and it appears that you don't either. If anyone was disrespectful of Fallwell's legacy, it was Fallwell himself.

  • Hehehehe!

Damn you Roy Zimmerman for being heterosexual! I could fall in love....

  • I can't believe how good these videos are. They are clean crisp, great close ups, and very entertaining. Brilliant.

  • 'Jerry Falwell's God' has to be one of my favourites! Another great video Roy. How about 'Ted Haggard Is Completely Hereosexual' next?

  • Well, I wasn't sure what to think when he died. It's always sad when someone dies but, I mean, it was Jerry Falwell. But after seeing this, I agree. He didn't respect the valiant people who died on 9/11, what did he do to deserve mine?

  • It's not always sad when someone dies, sometimes it's a relief. I'm not saying I wanted him to die, but, it's good that he's gone.

  • Yeah, I agree. I guess that's what I was trying to say. But what bothers me about him dying is that he never realized/admitted he was preaching hate. See, the only person who had the power to kill his following was him and now he's dead. But oh well, I guess we'll always have to deal with crazies.

  • Oh I think he knew exactly what he was doing. But yes, his legacy is more important than his person. That he's gone is certainly no loss to the world, but it would have been *much* better if he could have been reformed or discredited/scandalized (in the eyes of his followers) before his death.

  • i love roy zimmerman. the smile at the end is perfect.

  • all i have to say is jerry falwell is a pos and roy zimmerman rocks!

and right now if there is a a hell falwell is the guest of honor.

  • Heh

  • Respect is important...

  • Truly well said, Mr. Zimmerman. I am, as usual, delightfully in awe. Brava!

  • Roy u have a unique take on things Ive never been sorry I hit the subscribe button on your channel Its nice to know that somebody other than me gets it lol Keep shareing Roy and ill keep wearing my shit eating grin in agrement

  • isn't that so cool, about the dark matter?

i'm not going to act like i know anything about jerry falwell, but instead i'll go research ^^

  • A+, as usual!

  • Pagans believe that in the afterlife they feast, dance around naked, and make love in a beautiful meadow. They call their Paradise the Summerland. Over by the side are a bunch of angry, unhappy squares. They are Fundies and they are in Hell, watching the Pagans cavort. It is the same place, only the attitude is different.

  • Brilliant! But I must say, I do not celebrate the death of the man as a husband or father--I merely celebrate the death of his message of hate. Now if only a few others would follow...

  • I agree, but I think you're being a bit uncheritable. It seems to me that Roy's song and most of the comments reflect the same attitude you and I share. There are very few people who are dancing on his grave. They're merely observing that he did very little good in his life, which is true.

  • I'm going to make a trip to Lynchburg at some point specifically to dance on his grave. I'm going to bring tap shoes with me.

  • Thank you very much! This is the song that prompted me to buy your Homeland Security CD's and make a video about them.

  • Very piercing.

  • Now if only Pat Robertson would just take Jerry's lead and leave before the coming of the Great White Handkerchief...

Great stuff, I can hardly wait for the next album ^.^

  • I'm praying that on a leg extension Parasite Pat's left femur snaps and drives itself into his heart as the weights come crushing down. But, you can't have everything -- where would you put it?

  • Meh, that wouldn't hurt him anyway (assuming you're talking about Robertson). He replaced his flesh and blood heart with one of adamant years ago. Got to use all that money he's conned from folk for *something*, right?

  • LOL - Yes; that Pat's the one. I had to Wiki 'adamant' cos I knew it'd have to have another meaning other than adamant within the context.

  • Hahaha, and it just goes to show how very geeky I am that the reason I thought of 'adamant' was because of an awesome story by Nathaniel Hawthorne. The title character is spiritually both similar and the opposite of "Parasite Pat" (kudos on the *perfect* title for him).

  • Thanks. T'was an accident I assure you.

Mmmm; Partially Perfect Pat = he looks human; don't be fooled, he's really Perfect Parasite Pat. Now I'm just being silly. LOL.

  • A little alliteration annoyes only the illiterate.

    Yay for tongue twisters!

    Okay, I'll quit now. :-D

  • Ahem, "annoys". Me and my damn illiteracy. *sigh*

  • Well, I should clarify. Spiritually identical, behaviorially opposite. And because of that, "The Man of Adamant" sucked at life, but Robertson sucks life out of the world.

  • LOL. As I said Pat's a Parasite.

I doubt there's much more juice I an extract from this lemon.

  • I wouldn't mind if Fred Phelps went first, but Pat can go at any time, too.

  • another excellent how-to w/ pertinent commentary. you rock.

  • Nothing like making fun of a dead guy...

  • That dead guy was a hateful, bigoted fool. I don't see why you shouldn't speak out against evil people, even if they've just died.

  • Nobody thinks twice about saying Hitler was a scumbag.

  • I'll give an "amen" to that!

  • Well, Falwell didn't kill six million Jews, but he poisoned the minds of at least that many with hatred and bigotry. The world is a better place without him, and I'm glad he's dead.

  • He didn't but I think he might have if he could have. If not Jews then muslims.

  • Absolutely! *NEVER* speak ill of the dead!

Gosh, Stalin and Hitler were efficient, weren't they?
