U could tell it's not a strong live song - probably why they didn't play it often. But he is sexy as hell here so I can forgive him for the annoying WANT to ride my bicycle WANT to ride my bike... LOL no but he sounded good during the verses-just that chorus. Eeeshk :)

I think Freddie had a sore throat or cold doing this show. Or maybe it was just the japanese tour that Queen did? You can tell he's struggling here bit still cleverly chooses lower notes rather than have his voice crack in the middle of the song.

@killwill83 It was the end of the tour. They got done with Live Killers and didnt get to recover. Then he goes to Newcastle in 1979 and pulls the best Queen concert in history!

His throat is tired. Funny thing his voice got tired during this period alot. He gave up smoking and drinking during tours and stuff. During the 80's he stopped giving a shit and drank and smoked and all. Funny his voice during tours got better. Well thats what he said during a interview

Considering the sound quality, really, this isn't all that bad.  It's just more noticeable that Freddie is lowering pitches and a bit scratchy. This was a grueling stretch of concerts for the band in 1979, so it was tough on Freddie, as it would be on any singer (even one not singing Queen material). Certainly nothing like the 80's tours where they had a bit more of a relaxed touring schedule and Freddie was able to rest more.
