  • For me, stopping at the top does not count. I think you only actually did around 40 continuous push-ups.

  • @death789s Your age really doesn't matter. It's more of your height and weight.. If you're someone like 5'4 and 130 pounds and can do 55 push ups in a row, you're most likely stronger than someone that is only 100 pounds and 5'4 that can do 60.

    What is your height and weight?

  • @death789s I don't want to offend you, but you should gain around the 130s, if you're 5'6. I am about an inch shorter than your height, 13-years-old, and 130, my max was 67 push ups. (I'm not bragging, just showing an example) At your height and weight, try aiming a little higher on push ups. Do you do curls? If so, how heavy are the weights?

  • @ys1337 I believe you're a stick. Stick people are lighter, of course. The bigger muscles you have, the stronger you get, but your muscles power develop first than your endurance, so you get tired faster.

  • @edlgotbanged where your elbows are and where your hands are placed changes which muscles you are using more. If elbows are in like his he is depending on his triceps to do half of the work which he is doing military push ups. hands farther apart and elbows are outwards it uses more of your chest. hands close together and elbows out means your triceps are doing most of the work. Its just good to vary which push ups your doing.

  • i have been doing push ups for the past two weeks i started at 40 and now i am up to 50 before i could never get passed 40 the reason i have been able to do more and more is because i want to join the USMC and when ever i am about to quit i think to myself a marine wouldnt quit so i do one more and have been adding one push up everyday i do one set of the max that i did the night before then a minute late i add one more my recommendation is find some inspiration not to stop

  • I can really try for at least 50 push ups but did do like 55 pushups doing them correctly it is very hard trust me dude, but my dad showed me like 45 easily, he said he can do like 60 or 70 really trying the reason he can do less is because he used to do 150 pushups im not kiding either i wish to see him do it this was in his high school years to back in the mid 1970s

  • Sorry but you did not perform them all correctly. Between the push ups 18 and 30 and around there, you are not extending your arms completely.

    My record so far is 52, but I do them all correctly.

  • I believe you. That's great. dude! Yesterday I was able to do 58 in 2 minutes. I just discovered that if you do ONLY ONE ROW in a day (with your MAXIMUM number of push ups) you can increase you push ups number faster than if you train with more rows a day.

    It will be great if you could upload a video with your dad doing 150 push ups. I will love to see that, and it will be great since I haven't found a video of someone doing 150 push ups here on youtube.

  • hey..bro.. this is a real good one.. most of the guys do it with there arms wide and using kind of momentum and a swirling motion.. but the one you did has a optimal speed and full use of arm muscles...this is a real hard thing..

    remember bro.. push up is the best exercise, when you are hones to yourself..(which seems to be your case)..
