Nice one man... this is by far the most difficult Nirvana song to play on the drums... It's much harder than it looks or even sounds. It's the intencity that;s required in order to play it. the trick is to come out of the snare flam and right into the bass semi quavers and keep in time... and then you have to keep the consitency on the bass right through the pre-chorus.. also the changing paterns through the chorus can be really confusing. YOU'VE NAILED IT man... nice one!

IMO, the hardest part is keeping those sixteenth notes steady and powerful on the bass when you're playing the ride bell. It really bums me out cause I can play the song almost perfectly at a slightly slower speed than the original recording! It blows my mind to think Dave played it even faster live.

Drummer enjoys playing every tom and cymbal he/she can get, sure everyone have their preferences but saying something like that...that's just stupid. Double bass makes no-one better, but it also doesn't make them 'bitches', it just gives them more experience. Drummer is not a master when he can play DB well, but drummer can be a master of DB, with just a little more experience than others, not better than them.

if your tuning the toms, tune the bottom and top heads at the same pitch, air will move better. for the kick drum i suggest watching a bob gatzen bass drum tuning video. for the snare i just crank the two heads up and i get an amazing pop. peace, hope this helps = )
