You know this movie wasn't so bad. I really didn't want to watch this movie at first. When I saw the previews I was like, "Oh, know they did not mess up my DOA like that." But now after watching it I realized it was a decent movie not Acadamy award worthy but good. Just would of liked to see them use more of their fighting styles like Christie's She Quan. And someone at Tecmo should've written the story since they know their characters best and could have given them a better restart.
I think there wasn't an actor cool enough to play him. Thus, he was too cool to be in the film. But, yeah, I'm extremely bummed as he is the only character I play in the game besides Christie.
I think Kevin Nash made a really convincing Bass Armstrong. Helena vs Christie was awesome, bikinis, wet and hot at the same time. The best fight scene in this film for me!

we'll if you think the movie's great let me ask some questions: why ayane's actress is american and not japanese,why helena's character is different from the game,why max was included in the movie. he's not even in the game,why hayate was called the greatest fighter? didn't leon defeated him then kasumi defeated him?so that means kasumi is stronger than hayate.and why hayate and ayane had a kissing scene? they are half siblings right?
This movie really was a horrible adaptation. The whole plot was generic, they favored sex appeal over initial movie content way to much (even though DOA is a sexy game haha), the character choices werent that great (Collin Chou is a great screen fighter and did awesome in flashpoint, but he doesnt resemble hayate). And just over all it was a bad movie. Atleast the choreography wasnt bad for some exchanges
Helena is French so it probably would have been a good idea to give her the accent along with her unique trademark personality, she is a lady with class. Christie, even though this isn't much of a big deal I wish they'd kept her hair silver she is too different as a blonde. Oh well.
I hope next time they do a DOA movie they keep things true to the story. I'm hoping they make a DOA anime some day. DOA would make great anime. Fatal Fury and Street Fighter animes did good, let's have DOA/Manga.

Also do not forget to include the new girls like Kokoro, Hitomi, and La Mariposa. I'd like to see them in action, yes lots of girl-on-girl fights is a must. After all DOA is more a female fighting game than it is a male brawler.
Also, please do not ignore the jiggling boob factor. It is a part of DOA it is paying a tribute to Mai Shiranui from KOF I think that is what inspired Itagaki to make his girls like that so jiggling boobs should most definitely be included. Make this good is all I'm asking.

I liked the fighting mostly and near the end of the movie is when they showed most of the cool parts. Zack and Bass were done fine other than that the movie blows. Most of the styles (Tina) did seem wrong for the chars and Lei-Fang didn't get much spotlight (even though she was one of the MAIN chars in D.O.A one). They should have got better actors for Bayman, Leon, and the ninjas. Also the women in DOA have big breasts... get some women in there who can fight and still have that.

i enjoyed the movie. Hayabusa not only looked different, but his character seemed off. Ayane Didn't look right either.
The Bass and Tina fight(s) were hilarious. the Bass character was hilarious altogether, though.
Kasumi was alright.
Leon was alright.
Gen fu was pretty good for the little we saw.
Zack was good.
Christie was a decent look-alike. seemed younger than she should be.
Hayate seemed older than he shoulda been but otherwise good.
Helina seemed younger than she shoulda been.

I'm surprised, this movie actually isn't horrible. I mean, the Resident Evil movies are shit, and Mortal Kombat will always be the best game-to-movie adaptation, but this is pretty good.
And somehow I KNEW Robin Shou would be back at the end;)

This movie sucked, blew, and spit total cheapness and a waste of an adaptation of the original work. Just like the Street Fighter movie. Ayane and Hayate are half-siblings, and that was total ancestral stuff going on there. I did not like it one bit. At least the action was kind of OK. AND WHY IS AYANE AMERICAN AND HAYATE USING KUNG FU INSTEAD OF NINJITSU! Can we say BIG-SCREEN REMAKE PEOPLE? lol. This sucked!

The actress that plays her is from Europe not American and and she's half Norwegian and half Malaysian...and Cory Yuen is the choreographer who is chinese and knows kung fu the best and next, well Ninjutsu is mostly fake anyways; without the weapons the hand to hand is mostly budo (juijitsu) not as appealing for the screen as kung fu. lastly stop whining.

we'll if you think the movie's great let me ask some questions: why ayane's actress is american and not japanese,why helena's character is different from the game,why max was included in the movie. he's not even in the game,why hayate was called the greatest fighter? didn't leon defeated him then kasumi defeated him?so that means kasumi is stronger than hayate.and why hayate and ayane had a kissing scene? they are half siblings right?

This movie really was a horrible adaptation. The whole plot was generic, they favored sex appeal over initial movie content way to much (even though DOA is a sexy game haha), the character choices werent that great (Collin Chou is a great screen fighter and did awesome in flashpoint, but he doesnt resemble hayate). And just over all it was a bad movie. Atleast the choreography wasnt bad for some exchanges

Helena is French so it probably would have been a good idea to give her the accent along with her unique trademark personality, she is a lady with class. Christie, even though this isn't much of a big deal I wish they'd kept her hair silver she is too different as a blonde. Oh well.
I hope next time they do a DOA movie they keep things true to the story. I'm hoping they make a DOA anime some day. DOA would make great anime. Fatal Fury and Street Fighter animes did good, let's have DOA/Manga.

As a supervisor for SQUARE ENIX this was what is happening right now, we are also helping with the animations for the movie. If you have seen FF7: Advent Children, the animations on that will relate to the new DOA film.

I'm going to assume that you are for real. That being said, THIS IS THE BEST NEWS I HEARD EVAR!!! Make sure you give good attention to the characters too not just the ninjas but the other people that help make DOA a series Zack, Lei-Fang, Tina, Leon, Bass, Helena those characters. Try to make sure each character gets proper credit. Also Hayabusa is the star of Ninja Gaiden; he should be treated as such in the upcoming movie your making unlike this movie where he sucks.

Also do not forget to include the new girls like Kokoro, Hitomi, and La Mariposa. I'd like to see them in action, yes lots of girl-on-girl fights is a must. After all DOA is more a female fighting game than it is a male brawler.

I liked the fighting mostly and near the end of the movie is when they showed most of the cool parts. Zack and Bass were done fine other than that the movie blows. Most of the styles (Tina) did seem wrong for the chars and Lei-Fang didn't get much spotlight (even though she was one of the MAIN chars in D.O.A one). They should have got better actors for Bayman, Leon, and the ninjas. Also the women in DOA have big breasts... get some women in there who can fight and still have that.
