  • He proclaimed that the worldly life was empty; sex, money, property, etc...He helps the lovers of God to renounce the world and to seek The Infinite Happiness...so suffering, in the form of renunciation, breaks the ties to this worldly life...in this way it's the suffering, through renunciation, that opens up the door to God...and it's in God that we discover real happiness...

  • Scary and hairy ... yet uncannily Real ;-)

  • ...but remember unless you become mad.. you cannot attain . . godhood.

  • Be as it may.. let things change naturally without attempting to coerce the spirit to conform to your will..let it be...let it be...let it..BE AS IT MAY

  • @BUKCOLLECTOR A poor and hungry person is seen on the street, and that person is given a sandwich. Be as it may. That person is given warm clothing. Be as it may. That person is given medicine and shelter. Be as it may.

  • @meghan42 . And another one is on the street and not given a sandwich, ignored, maybe beaten while they sleep. What creates the difference? Well. karma. And karma can be best weathered through, according to Upasni with an attitude of Be As It May.( Incidentally, I worked with the homeless of Chicago for 5 years...Be as it may.) And the homeless man in my video was helped through the video to get off the streets, however he is back on the same street corner begging and surviving...Be as it may.

  • @oklahuma "What creates the difference? Well. karma". Karma is mysterious and we can never presume to know what a person's karma is. The caste of people called "untouchables" are destined to that caste because of the belief in karma ..... There is both individual and collective karma.

  • Great words from a Master. Now for the hard part - trying to live up to them!

  • Meerabai of the 15th century, same philosophy.

  • in the ashram of upasani maharaj i lived, with godavari mataji,it was easy for me to reach the stage where food means nothing, mataji had to beg me for two weeks to eat .she also had to beg me not to go to the himalays and live on air! babadanji

  • Absolutely Awesome video - Thanks for posting Upasni Maharaj, wish there was more, But Be As It May!

  • There is no problem with having "things" the problem is when you can't not have them.

  • I don't know what you are referring to,what problem arises when you can't have 'things'?

  • can't "not" have things...If i have food and a place to stay today, ok, i accept...if tomorrow i am without food or a place, ok i accept ...if one "cant not" have it, there is no acceptance of what is.

  • My brother. I really dig this video, I'm going to post it as my feature vid, great job!!...

  • Thanks a lot. I really like the quote on enlightenment you posted on your profile.

  • the belief in absolute acceptance of things as they are provides a moral justification for the caste system. Similarly rather than changin the economic and political conditions that create homelessness if we just accept them there is no room for improvement.,, something must be done and changed and after it has changed we can all say it was God's will 'God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know thew difference.

  • Yes, that's what it seems like in the world of duality. Upasni here is commenting on how one may transcend the dualistic world view of good and bad, suffering and pleasure, moral integrity and moral ineptitude. He is talking about using a mantra to attain God Consciousness which is beyond the conditioned, impressioned mind and sees that nothing exists but the absolute Oneness which may be called One or God. Basically he is talking about the value of enduring suffering in this pursuit.

  • As a matter of fact, all humans adhere to one single nature of fact. That can be called as a GOD and the GOD has no duality, one divine spirit realized by all true religious masters.

This video re-iterates that, it is better to accept what we get and try to find the happiness in that rather than suffering for what we do not have. Unfortunately, most humans die without knowing the fact and most of the human race irrespective of religion is falling into this maya.

  • what is the name of that intro song?!

Great video! I wish I could believe in such things.

  • I've been constantly saying that everything has 2 aspects.

    Nothing can change it.

In the same way, pleasure is always associated with pain.

    Greed.

  • If one don´t want pleasure then what happens?

  • This is an excellent video for any sincere seeker of God. Beautifully put together. Visuals, music perfectly complement Shri Upasni Maharaj's discourse. Jai Meher Baba !

  • Jai Meher Baba!

  • great vid. great thoughts! does anyone else find that girl beautiful? :)

  • "Be As It May" silences my mind in awe. The Perfect Master, Upasni Maharaj, relationship to Beloved Avatar Meher Baba, reminds me of the relationship of John the Baptist and Beloved Jesus, the Christ. Namaste. Bhau's maharajah of kashmir

  • he's right. lose your mind and meet God.

  • he was a great sidha

  • This is amazing. Upasni Maharaj's life was so incredible. Perfect Master. God. This video is the most ingenious biographical documentary. Kudos to the film maker for bringing this to our world. I saw the whole thing and it gives you the rest of the story.
